The PGA Sultan Golf Course at Antalya Golf Club is considered to be one of the best golf courses in Turkey. Attracting golfers year after year, The Sultan Golf Course is one of the oldest in Belek. The golf course has formed the inspiration for golf courses in the area that have since been created through the use of pine trees, sandy soil and many lakes and streams which meander through the course.
Immediately adjacent to The Sirene Belek Golf Hotel, golfers staying here can get preferred access to both The Sultan and its sister course The Pasha. Given its location, these are popular choices for golfers looking for a golf resort with the hotel and golf course next to each other rather than travelling to play golf each day.
The PGA Sultan Course has a rich tournament history hosting the pinnacle of both amateur and professional events during its time. In 2012, The Eisenhower Trophy was played here featuring the likes of Justin Thomas, Cameron Smith and Hideki Matsuyama. Shortly after that Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Justin Rose were amongst the 8 selected to battle for the Turkish Airlines World Golf Final where Rose triumphed and claimed the $1.5 million 1st prize.

The PGA Sultan Course is a ferocious test, where the challenging holes wind through the landscape’s impressive pine forests. From the championship tees, the course measures 7,011 yards, and will ensure a formidable examination even for the low handicappers.
This course has been designed with the lower handicapped golfer in mind and frequently gives you the risk vs reward challenge. There are so many great holes on this course but the finishing hole may be the best. The 444 yard par-4 is a tester with a tight tee shot onto a ribbon of dry land between two large water hazards. The view of the Taurus mountains create a great atmosphere as you make your way up your final hole, don’t get distracted.
Justin Rose won here in 2012 beating Lee Westwood in the final and Tiger Woods in the semi. Just enjoy playing a course played by some of the best golfers of our time and see how your game compares to theirs.
Spectacular views and challenging hazards are the hallmarks of the PGA Sultan, which is one of Belek's finest courses, and is an imperative part of the ultimate golf holiday in Belek.

Pretty good - only thing was we were 2 x 3 balls and had planned the comps on that basis. We arrived to find that we had been split into a 4 and a 2 and other random 36 hcappers had to join us. Disappointing and disruptive.

The course was very bare and looked like they were getting it ready for overseeding, there was a lot of sand around the greens so the ball just stopped. The round was extremely slow, with 3 groups waiting on the tee on one of the holes. Very disappointing given the cost charged.

They wouldn’t give us a morning T time despite asking repeatedly over 9 months. They had no buggies for us on arrival and we had to negotiate hard to get 2 for our start, then they brought the other 2 out onto the course later. The starter on the first was very rude and disrespectful to us, not allows us to T-off until we had paid for the 2 buggies that had not yet been delivered to us - refusing to believe us that the pro-shop had told us to pay after 9 holes. Argued vehemently with us. Not impressed by his poor behaviour and lack of customer service. Tees were in poor condition too.

Played this course from gold tees so approx 6600yds and definitely tighter than Pasha but good test and plenty water 💦 not sure of slope ratings seemed to lose few shots compared to courses in UK 🇬🇧 Only give greens rating of 4 as even though immaculate did expect them to be quicker when putting

Another wow moment when you arrived. However. Have to say the staff on this course does not match that of Faldo. Maybe because we tee’d off super early and they wasn’t awake yet. But it’s amazing how the staff at these places can set the tone. They were much better on the way in it has to be said. Course however was again phenomenal. Loved every second of playing it Great greens, fairways and tee boxes. Another must play when in Turkey

This is a beautifully designed course in great condition. Unfortunately our round was spoiled as we followed a group where one guy had clearly never play before and took an age to hit the ball 50 yards at a time. He should never have been allowed on the course - not a place to learn golf. The Marshall spoke to him but did not either remove him or force them to let us play through. A real shame that lack of course management partly spoiled our experience.

There are no visuals of hole layouts on the score cards or at the tees (unlike Pasha), so no clue about location of hazards. Constantly found good shots penalised in hazards we were unaware of. Not good enough. Some staff not very friendly.

We played two rounds. The first round was on my partners birthday, not very clear upon arrival where to go or what to do. No guidance on where the driving range is or putting greens available, just check you in and leave you to it. Left our clubs outside to find when we came out that they had vanished, turns out they pop them on a buggy for you (heart failure). Very friendly team who attend to the buggies. Upon arriving to tee off we were told I couldn’t play golf if I didn’t have a collared shirt on, thankfully they had some in the pro shop for €15. No where mentioned you had to wear a collared top and I was in golf wear which was modest and smart. The greens were not in the best condition and it was very dry, despite them watering with sprinklers that were powerful. We had a nice match regardless. The second round (now more aware of what to do) was smoother, we were paired with a German pair who were very nice. We hired golf buggies both times, but on this occasion our buggy died on the 7th hole after beeping at us and losing power. No one around to get help from, my partner had to go to the villas to find staff to radio back for help. Took them nearly 20 minutes to come out. Once we had a new buggy, we were then told by the range warden to hurry up!!! It was fairly rude. Again a nice round but ruined the game for us all. Returning to the clubhouse once completed, we complained and eventually got some money back but not the full amount as requested. I would imagine this should be a nice course but was fairly disappointing. Some beautiful holes with good views however and plenty of spots to stop and get water complimentary throughout which was a nice touch.

This was a bit disappointing we were behind people who clearly had no idea how to get round a golf course we spoke to the course marshall but he did nothing about it we only managed 16 holes as we ran out of daylight, the people in front were non golfers who should not have out there, the golf club was clearly only interested in the money they paid not everyone else's experience, I did raise this point with the club manager and he just shrugged his shoulders.

✓28 Oct 2024
Wonderful course. I have rated it as hard but I played to my handicap of 18. You just have to be straight and avoid the water hazards. The greens are true and in great condition. There was maintenance on the course in October so we couldn’t have buggies which made it tougher in the heat but we still enjoyed it. Plenty of toilet facilities and free water bottles. I would definitely come back to play this course.

✓11 Oct 2024
Transfer to this course was very good. The welcome and service we received was also very good. The only downside on our second visit was that work had begun on the perimeter of the greens which provided quite a rough area between the greens fairways and the greens. Overall a very good golfing experience.

The course does need a bit of tlc. Tees were quite bad with divets which were not repaired. Faireways and bunkers were in pretty good order, geens were very slow and very difficult to play on. And talking to others golfers, this was a common thing accross few golf courses in the area. Also there was hardly any water provided on few tees and in the heat that we had, no water and no cooler box on the buggy made it a bit more difficult

My favourite course of the tour - I had played it 18 years previously but had little memory. Greens exceptional - best of all courses we played. Course management critical - enjoyed the challenge of avoiding the numerous water features!! For occasional golfers recommend forward tees whereas more regular golfers will find the middle tees about right. Only sadists would use the back tees on all the courses…😉😉 We were a mixed group and both men and women thoroughly enjoyed the tour - many thanks to YGT

Second time playing this course and I do not agree that it is in the top 5 courses in Turkey, tired in places, slow greens and bunkers with two much sand. one of the buggies broke down and we had to carry, reported it to the staff who did not care and pretended not to understand English. Will not be going back.

Unfortunately our first round here started in heavy rain which lasted for at least an hour and a half. Construction work around a few of the holes did not help. A lot of lost balls all in the water hazards. Second time round the weather was much improved and we also made a decision to play from the blue tees. This was a good choice for our standard of golfer and made for a very enjoyable experience and a lot less lost balls!

Due to the difficulty of the course the rounds on the Sultan were longer than on the Pasha but as the sun was shining it was not a major issue. The reduced 5th hole, due to building work on a nearby hotel, caused us some concern as the distances were inaccurate. It was also a bit dangerous when teeing off at the 6th as it was very close to the 5th green. Something that may have to be addressed.

✓22 Jun 2023
We chose the forward tee blue to start our first round because we watched the group in front tee off from the blues. Not many hit the fairways. My group were a lot more successful so on our second round went back to the yellow tees which our low handicappers thought gave them the advantage. Actually the results found no difference in average scores. There were a few bare/brown areas on the greens but not near the holes. A couple of the tees were being worked on and had little grass. A genuine good test of golfing ability The sixteenth and eighteenth particularly testing holes. After the round of golf we had to pay for our drinks before going back to the Hotel this was a little disappointing as we were staying in the hotel.

✓14 Jun 2023
Not sure i have ever had such a bad experience on a golf course, there was plenty of warnings about slow play through out the course which was nonsense as on this occasion the Marshall out on the course plainly ignored slow play, we got stuck behind a 4 ball on the 10 th tee who flatly refused to let anybody through, i think by the time we reached the 12th there was 4 groups on the one hole. I had enough bythe 15th and drove up and asked them to let us through as they were holding up the whole course and they replied “ oh really we didn’t realise”. To be fair i played this course last year and had no problems, the condition of the course was decent although the greens were a bit patchy this time around, would play it again but with a much earlier tee time

Golf course was in very good condition. After a gentle start it tends to get tighter and a few sneaky hidden bunkers come into play. Greens were at a nice pace and good to putt on. ✓3 May 2022
Course was in amazing condition but greens were not amazing but only due to amount of play and pitch marks had not been repaired (spent my round repairing atleast 5 on every green) so condition due to poor etiquette. Course was far too overbooked and round took 5 hours 40 minutes. Most times 3 groups were stuck on the same holes. Value for money for the course was good but drinks were not included so €5 for a beer on course was quite pricey considering the price of the round.
Steven
✓2 Sep 2019
Played from the back tees the course was pretty long, particularly the par threes, with three well over 200 yds. It was a fair test, with some pretty wide fairways, and well positioned hazards, but enough challenge to make it interesting. Playing in August, the greens had been aerated a week or so prior, so were playing quite slow (maybe touching 8 stimp) with a lot of grain, although rolling pretty well, considering. I played on my own at 8.30am and there were only two other groups on the course, both of which let me through immediately, so pace of play was fast and I finished in around 2hrs 15 minutes. The clubhouse had a bit of renovation going on ahead of the season opening on 1st September, but was in good condition, with excellent changing facilities and a welcoming bar. The staff were very engaging and I was given a complimentary coffee before play. Bar menu was on the expensive side, but not extortionate, and the manager was happy for me to bring my family (with young children) for lunch. Value for money was good - green fee through YGT was around €60 and there was a summer deal on for a cart for €10. Overall an excellent experience, and I will be back on future trips.

This is a fantastic course! There’s water EVERYWHERE
and it’s quite long for most average players so it’s a real test of golf...and your
nerve!
I’d advise buying a course planner for the Sultan as there are no hole
maps on the tees. Each hole is well secluded so even when the
course is full it seems like you are playing all on your own...millionaire’s
golf!
The condition of the course was immaculate and very well-tended although again we had full scarifying (on the 10th) while we were playing – maybe they do it at most courses this time of year?!
Relish the experience as this is arguably one of the finest golf courses and tests of golf I have experienced in some time (handicap=6).
We hired buggies (€30) and would suggest it’s advisable for
all but the hardiest/maddest souls!
