The course is evidence of Dr Mackenzie’s style, with interesting multi layered greens and fast sloping fairways, the course has no fewer than six varied par-3s and 11 two-tiered greens.
At just over 6,000 yards from the back tees, the course is not long by modern standards, but due to its well designed layout and exposed nature, it provides a true test of golf. Located on the Haldon Moor, at 800 metres above sea level, the views of the South West coastline and the Victorian seaside resort of Teignmouth are breathtaking and certainly a highlight of the venue.

Hurricane force winds either made it experience to remember or one to forget depending on your viewpoint. Crazy bit of close tees & greens in middle of course but otherwise excellent condition and a challenge especially in the wind!
