The Weald of Kent is a magnificently manicured 18 hole parkland golf course which benefits from the charming backdrop of the sweeping views of the rolling hills of the Kentish countryside.
The course opened in 1991 and has since developed into a mature and fascinating track. The par-70 layout measures a respectable 6310 yards from the back tees and incorporates numerous elevations, water hazards and bunkers which are designed to test even the most accomplished golfer; nonetheless the well kept and generous fairways mean that the novice golfer should enjoy the challenge as well.
The golf course prides itself on the fact that it is in superb condition all year round. Even during the winter period they don't use temporary greens or synthetic winter tees, this benefit is down to the hard working green keepers who work tirelessly throughout the year to keep the greens, tees and fairways in a tip-top state.
The Weald of Kent is also able to boast a comprehensive clubhouse; here you can find a bar, restaurant, function suites, conference rooms and a large patio area as well as fantastic views over the golf course and lakes which are contained within it.

Hotel in nice countryside location near Headcorn and not far from Leeds castle in Kent. All staff at reception, the golf shop and redtaurant very helpful and friendly. On a very wet day we sat in the bar and watched sport on a fairly small screen TV with volume off and sub titles on. Presumably in deference to other guests. Perhaps a separate TV room/area with a big screen would be a good idea. I like use of a swimming pool too but this hotel does not have that facility. The food menu was reasonable and suited my golfing group, although not exceptional. Again all the staff were helpful and friendly. Our rooms were located in a separate building from the main hotel, which on a cold wet night meant a short walk outside. The rooms were clean and had TV and tea making facility. Also a reasonable size bath with shower above.

Although the evening meal and breakfast were slow to arrive, this did not detract from the excellent customer service from all the staff, who were polite, helpful and nothing was to much trouble. The course was in fantastic condition and a joy to play. This would have been a 5 star rating, if it was not for the aforementioned.

We have been to Weald of Kent before and really like the hotel, which is fairly new so very clean and comfortable, it’s not attached to the main building but is a very short (30 seconds) walk to the restaurant. Our room was comfortable, spacious and clean, had the normal facilities ie tea, coffee etc, bathroom was very nice too.

It was like staying in club house with accommodation rather than a corporate hotel. There was a fair selection of meals for the evening meal, with a large choice of breakfast all cooked fresh. The bar was well stock with a range of beer & larger. The room were comfortable and clean, with tea & coffee making supplies. All the staff from golf pro & starter to hotel staff were helpfully & friendly.

The rooms were too small in my opinion, a twin room is too small for 2 people, felt on top of each other. The food took quite a long time to come, both dinner and breakfast but when it came it was amazing, delicious. Hotel grounds are ok, a bit run down and dated, such a shame because the setting is beautiful in a lovely area but the hotel is a let down.

Overall this was a great stay especially as we were blessed with the most amazing weather for mid-October. Rooms - the rooms were very small - we all had single occupancy in the lodge so it wasn't a problem, but I wouldn't have wanted to share. The rest of the hotel/clubhouse was great. Quite small and pretty busy but the staff were faultless. The food was excellent. Overall for the price it was an excellent weekend and we will come back for sure.

The course was challenging and a good test of golf. The drainage ditches were really awkward to navigate but forced you to either drive really well or lay up. Greens have suffered with the really dry spring but improved with some rain on the last day.

Unfortunately the first day was tricky due to the weather, very strong winds. Second day the heavens opened up after four holes so that was the end of our game. The younger one's carried on but when you are over seventy-five it is no fun.well worth the money, looking forward to next year. Thank you for all your work

Arrived on a rainy day that had been preceded by a week of rain. Amazingly the course was open, albeit very wet under foot. It was carry only which prevented some of our group from playing. Pleasant surprise was the quality of the greens, which all remained in good order. Overall the course was not overly interesting, but I would describe it an easy enough test for all handicaps. It would be nice to play again in dry weather.

We found the course in good playing condition, considering all the rain we have had recently it was reasonably firm under foot, the greens were quite good just a bit bobbly here and there. There are some really interesting holes here, plenty off gullies, also there is holes with water, the 1st from the men’s tee box, the 9th going down to the clubhouse is lovely, with this comes the wildlife so watch out for them, and the 18th again looks very nice even in the Autumn. When you have finished your round there is a great outlook from the clubhouse onto the 9th and 18th so you can enjoy a well earned drink with a great view

A very interesting coarse with no two holes similar, there a number of ditches across the fairway, so it isn’t just a driver of the tee. Could have done with a marshal of the course as following a society, we waited on both tee and fairway.

Parkland course, with a number of ditches crossing the fairways at strategic points! :) It was a fair course - wide fairways, not too many bunkers, some water. Overall we enjoyed playing there.

✓21 Nov 2018
Course was laid out great, mixture of difficulty of holes. Greens were ok for winter, quote a lot of goose poo on a few holes, think that needs to be addressed, just extra matinence or something to shield the pond animals from the green as we found ourselves putting through geese excretion!

✓16 Oct 2018
We are very much mixed ability from Pro to high handicaps and the course suited us all pretty well. The greens were decent although nothing special (but it is October) and the course was pretty hard underfoot, great for hitting it further but made around the greens a little tricky. A good mix of holes with many ditches and hazards and some lovely views. It was very busy so a little slow on the Saturday. There is no driving range so only a net and a small putting green - but no reason to not come here. They had a starter which seems rare these days - it was a nice touch.

We (4 of us) had a superb 3 days golfing. Weather was brilliant for September. Accommodation excellent, food great, staff very friendly and helpful. This was our second stay here and would recommend it every time. Green keepers was out every day keeping the fairways clear of leaves the best they could. Greens was in fantastic condition, a bit fast for me though, I just need more practise.
