Ufford Park Resort

Rooms bit dated, small and some very hot, uncomfortably hot. Staff brilliant, but no meals booked with restaurant, had to show booking to get reservations, on all nights Three rooms made up as double beds, as it mens golf trip you would have thought the rooms be all made up as single beds, but they did send staff up to remake beds.

Hotel room was clean and comfortable. Evening dinner was very good. Although the staff were pleasant, there was a long wait in between courses and plates were not cleared away for about 15 minutes, which was surprising as there were only 6 people in the restaurant. Unfortunately, breakfast was inedible as the food had obviously been left on the hotplate for a couple of hours. The fried eggs in particular were like rubber and as hard as golf balls. Having said that it would not deter us from staying at the hotel in the future.

Lovely place and great value, staff also excellent

The hotel was very nice. Friendly staff and good food. Not a big issue but they didn't have the rooms allocated to the correct people. Overall really enjoyed our stay.

The staff were very busy but to be fair to them there wasn’t enough of them. Service was slow and the hotel looks very tired now although the room we had was very good.

The bedroom itself was comfortable enough, but could do with a bit of TLC, ripped nett curtains, rotting bathroom door and dents and chips in the wall. Having booked as a group of 8, nearly a whole year in advance, it was extremely frustrating to have rooms allocated all over the hotel and not in any close proximity to each other. Having booked for dinner via reception we were astonished to find that there was not table ready for us when we arrived at the restaurant at our booked time. Having to order after golf lunch at the bar was a trial in itself, there appeared to be plenty of staff milling around but only 1 taking orders and pouring drinks.

Just returned from Ufford Park. We had a group of 8 golfers on a 3 night, 4 round break. Golf course is quite challenging with some lovely holes. The green keeper told us that they hadn't had any rain for 8 weeks, therefore the fairways were very baron but it didn't take anything away from our visit. The twin rooms are quite basic but clean and more than adequate. The staff were very good and accommodated us with anything we required.Last but not least the food was excellent especially the 3 course dinner. Everyone in my group was very impressed and we will definitely be returning in the future.

We stayed in a suite with jacuzzi and sofa. Very comfortable and spacious. Opened windows and turned radiators off at night as v warm. Very much enjoyed food and friendly staff.

Excellent Value for the money and brilliant service, will definitely go again.

Have stayed at this hotel many times over the years, but the room on this occasion was situated near the spa and noisy with users waiting to use the spa from 6am . This room also had a very disappointing en suite.

Nice Hotel, Good Room with Balcony, Good Restaurant, needed more staff.

Good hotel. Lovely location and views. Food excellent. Only downside is no sky sports so unable to watch Ryder cup as part of the golf weekend

Great couple of days at Ufford Park. The course was in good condition and was very challenging which we all liked. The food in the evening was excellent as was the breakfast buffet.

Room was lovely, maybe could do with a fan as the weather was 29 degrees but all in all we were happy with the facilities

Driving range was super, golf course was sublime, view of the golf course from our room balcony was fantastic, food was lovely especially the breakfast, bar and patio facilities fantastic. Highly rate this hotel. We will revisit.

Hotel was good and the staff were very attentive. there was still no bar service which sometimes made service a little slow.

My Grandson and I enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Golf course, Hotel and staff were first class. Working out how to return mid May just now.

Had a deluxe room with balcony and view to golf course. Extremely clean, bright and comfortable bed. Food in restaurant was good, friendly and efficient staff.

The Hotel are very COVID aware which did affect some facilities but very understandable and this is not a complaint just an observation. Overall very satisfied.

Never again . Not enough staff, waited over an hour for a drink after my round of golf . Bar manager was ignorant and shouted at some of my group who complained about waiting so long. Fairways dead and like concrete. I’ve never had so many complaints from my group from anywhere else .

The food is first class. Service for drinks very slow. The golf is good though the course very dry

Excellent accommodation with beautiful views over the golf course despite full occupancy did not hear any noise so sound proofing very effective Both dinner and breakfast really good 👍

Really enjoyed a 3 night stay here with the wife. Thanks to Liam at 'Your golf travel' for arranging this. Despite being a fairly young and new team, they were great and really focused on customer service. Food was great and despite having a BB&Dinner package, we had a generous daily allowance, so we could choose what we liked.

Have to say, food was great, wine a little pricey at £28 a bottle of average red. Dinning service great. Especially considering post covid set up. However, patio drink table service was far too slow, often waiting 15mins or more to get a drink ordered/delivered, and it didn't appear to be that busy. Perhaps we were just unlucky. That said the drinks were delivered with a smile so a small negative in the scheme of things.

We had a very nice four days, if going there again I would pay extra to make sure I had a room that overlooked the golf course and not the roof, not a very nice view, although there was a balcony did not feel inclined to sit out there as view was terrible. Good value

Very enjoyable

Room and bathroom clean and modern. Room heating was very good, all hotel was warm. Pool and spa good, steam room out of service tho. Evening meal in restaurant was really good as was breakfast. This was included on our trip but would be pricy if not. All in all a great place to stay. Will be back

Excellent accommodation, facilities, & breakfasts but as last year evening meals were poor some of the group did complain to staff and were offered a different menu. Overall the evenings meals diluted what would have been a perfect break.

Rooms were fine with two sharing clean and comfortable, nice bathroom and shower.

Greens ok but just been fertilized, fairways quite poor with no grass and many bare patches, but course layout and playability good, enjoyable course, but could be better.

Really enjoyed the course, great layout and some interesting holes. The course was in good condition and the greens were great. Would definitely play it again in the future.

Very nice course. Greens were in good condition. Plenty of variety of holes. A slight mix up over tee times but that didn't dampen the experience. Will come back and play again.

Lack of buggies despite calling a week before our visit. It meant one of our party didn’t attend which was obviously disappointing. It was extremely slow over 5 hours and it didn’t appear to be any marshal on the course trying to encourage people to play quicker.

Friday an d Saturday round was ok Sunday round was slow. I contacted the course approx 8 weeks before we went to make sure we had one buggy per round as two of our party needed them as they are blue badge holders only to be told they were all booked out! When we arrived on the Friday they said we could have one for Saturday but not Sunday which meant three out of our six party went home Saturday night as they said they wouldn’t be able to walk the course, which was disappointing as the reason we went was to celebrate one of there’s birthday

Course was a challenge to play. The course seems easier from the white tees than the yellows as the course rating gives an extra 3 shots with only 1 hole seeming to be significantly longer. A little disappointed to find that one of our tee times had been pushed back without us being informed by anyone until we turned up ready to play.

Really really good. Shame that your golf travel didn't actually secure the buggies and tell the hotel when we had arranged! Luckily the hotel managed to get one buggy for us for both days although there was three of us.

Very enjoyable went in February, chose Suffolk for a golf break due to the sandy soils after all the wet weather we have had Cousre in good condition considering the time of year Good Clubhouse & friendly staff Definitely go back

Peaceful. Windy, cold one day fair the next. Condition fine.

Course suits golfers of all levels and not every hole is just smash it of the tee 🏌️⛳

Some extremely awkward holes with lots of water which were a challenge. My only concern was the proximity of the 2-floor driving range next to the 18th hole - there were range-balls all over the fairway - a considerable risk to players!

Course had some lovely looking holes and course playable for all handicap. Greens had disease on them but didn’t ruining our game

Nice Golf Course with some quirky holes, condition could have been better. Beware of the Driving Range balls coming over the Fence onto the 18th Fairway.

Very nice course with interesting holes. Deceptively hilly, so wise to have a buggy. Really enjoyable 2 rounds of golf, with fairways and greens in good nick.

Very enjoyable experience with front nine of 20 points and 35 total but ran out of gas on second day after a front nine of 18 points fell away to a disappointing 29. Next time would take a buggy on day two as it is a tough walk. Greens made for a good challenge, better of day two as holes recut and very smooth surface.

Enjoyed the course

Course proved tricky primarily down to the windy conditions that we encountered. Enter the rough and you’re in trouble. Greens and fairways were ok and what you would expect for this time of year. Just beware on the 18th with driving range balls finding their way over onto the fair way. Only real issue was that the golf club had our times the wrong way round for the weekend and therefore missed our tee times on the Saturday meaning we had to be shuffled in later on in the day which wasn’t ideal and made for a stressful situation whilst being resolved.

A wonderful course! Beautiful mature surroundings.Some very nicely built and natural holes on the course.A delight to play on.

A course of two halves with the back 9 providing lots of water challenges against the long and open front 9 We all liked the course

Fairways poor condition, greens very good condition. Could do with better signage leading to next tee on some of the holes. We got lost twice looking for the next tee box. Other than that good value for the money.

We enjoyed the course and Hotel immensely. It was unfortunate that Your golf travel said they had reserved buggies for us but when we arrived there were n't any available. With three of our members having knee problems it caused a bit of an upset. Beware when booking this venue as they only have 14 buggies

Like all courses the fairways were lacking grass but the greens were in good condition. Will go back when we’ve had some rain as I’m sure it will be a different game as there was a lot of run on the ball.

Very interesting course. No 2 holes the same, good variation. Very dry fairways on first day. Rain overnight helped.

Beautiful golf course, some challenging holes, a few over the water but exceptionally interesting, easily walkable but buggies are available. Staff were superb.

Overall a good break and when the fairways and greens grow a bit i can see it would be a great course to play The course was a bit of a challenge with the greens being quite damaged making putting difficult as the ball jumped around.

Overall standard of course was OK. Some greens and bunkers could be improved but we had recently had a lot of ran and we are coming to the end of winter

My Grandson on our first round shot 6 over par, on the second day 8 over par, I was very proud of his game. At 86 years of age I came a close second !!.

Club competition one day and big society another so play was on the slow side. 4.5hrs for our 2 ball.

First day completed round in 3.5 hours, second day came off after 14th. Society of ladies in front, they never offered us to play through although they were lagging two holes behind rest of group. Their course etiquette was terrible. Needed a marshal on course.

Fairways are patchy but overall the course is a good society course. Changing room not open due to COVID restrictions

The guys here were just brilliant... nothing was too much trouble and they were clearly very busy. The course had just 'parched' due to the recent hot spell but aside from that, it was challenging and very enjoyable.. 3 rounds played and we'll be back...

Second time we have been, and given the proximity we will go back. Both days we played it was slow, but Monday was ridiculous. 3 hours to play 10 holes!!! When we arrived at the 10th tee, there were 3 groups on the 11th tee!!! There was a society with 8 buggies in front of us, but clearly the course needs marshalling if there are large grps out there. Otherwise, everyone enjoyed the course. Best wishes.

The first day took five and a half hours and as we did not tee off until 2.30 rather messed up the night. The other days were not fast, four and a half hours, but not as bad as the first day we could live with that. Enjoyed the course

Lovely course and staff.

Considering the weather and all the rain we have had in last month the course was in good condition. Greens quick and true. Only got 5 holes in on the Friday due to crazy winds and pounding rain. Managed to get round on the Saturday but wet for 4 holes, course drained quick though and rest of round was pleasant. Shame we could not experience the course in good weather conditions. Would recommend to play. great facilities too, driving range, putting green and a American golf there! Dangerous for over spend!

Ufford is a challenging but fair course which keeps you interested for 18 holes. Bunkers were in need of attention but understandable after so much rain,pathways were poor as was the overall cosmetic look of the course. However 18 out of our group of 20 would like to return next year.

Managing the course is key. Plenty of dog-legs and holes where playing for position is a must. Definitely will play here again.

Nice course layout and some interesting holes. We arrived after course maintenance week so greens were difficult, but did not spoil our enjoyment of our round.
