Good rooms, hot weather so the fan in the room was great. The only down side was the water pressure was very poor which made it hard to get a good shower . But everything apart from that was great . We will be booking for next year .

Generally friendly and helpful. Evening restaurant was a bit slow. Check in a bit hit and miss. Room comfortable. Breakfast staff very nice and efficient.

We made a booking for a group of 6 men for golf, dinner, bed and breakfast. The rooms provided included one 3/4 size bed and no sofa or other sleeping option. This is unacceptable for the price paid but also should be communicated in advance. We ended up booking rooms at the hotel over the road to solve the problem.

Ladies stayed in comfortabke little lodges all next to each other. Cars were able to park outside each lodge or near by which made it good for unpacking ready for golf each day. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good both at breakfast and in the evening. There was a big wedding on Friday so I think the lunch menu was restricted and service was a bit slow in the evening but they made up for this on the Saturday as service was excellent. Plenty of seating areas inside and out around the bar and also rooms near to the restaurant where we could do our presentation. Great spa facilities which not all of us had time to use.

We travelled with our dog as the Hotel stated they were dog friendly, as a lot of other establishments do. Granted your pet can stay in your room for £25 but there is that's about it. There is nowhere to sit in a bar with your dog and have a drink. Not sure why you cannot go in their Cellar Bar with your dog as it has stone floors. Cannot fault the restaurant, Loft 18, as it was very nice and the food was excellent.

Quality hotel with excellent food and service

Rooms very good but as YGT didn't forward our rooming list we were split up and the chef didn't get our food order. Staff were brilliant

Very nice lodges which was a surprise. The quality was good and we had a comfortable stay. Loft 18 restaurant is very well appointed and the attention to detail at dinner by the staff was perfect.

Had a brilliant night and two rounds of golf here. All the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Hotel is clean and has all the facilities you could need. Would absolutely recommend.

Rooms though a little compact and bijoux were comfortable and clean with comfortable bed. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Food was excellent though tiny plates at breakfast made us look greedy

We booked as a family and got exactly what we were hoping for. The food and service couldn't be faulted. The rooms were also excellent and we are already booking for next year.

This was a good all round value for money golf weekend. The golf course was not the most challenging, but I think the package was good.

All very good. The only negative was that they did not have anything you could have for breakfast between 11.30 and 12.00 which when you have driven 1.5 hours and would like something before having to play was not good. No bacon rolls and no nibbles such as crisps to go with drinks. Something they could take on board.

Excellent staff and cannot fault the experience

Really enjoyed our stay.The course was in very good condition.Rooms were ok.Food was excellent. I would recommend stopping and playing here.

First time stay at this venue short course but don't let that fool you the greens make up for that there great slopes all over the place 3 putting is easy Rooms bit dated put clean same goes for the bar area Restaurant food very good In all for the price great value for your money Sunday special but think the Saturday overnight price to much Golf shop tee time mix ups changing them when guests are there that's a no no saw two arguments about tee times Then on course slowed up both days by a five ball groups this needs to be addressed

No air con or fans on the hottest weekend, poor management in hot restaurant, meal took nearly two hours as staff looked at other to do the job! But food fantastic quality and junior staff really tried under pressure, felt sorry for them

Had a great stay, the food was first class with plenty of choice.

Cold bland food in restaurant steam room not working swimming pool cold drink prices expensive room basic but quiet good value for money

Two of our ladies had to change rooms as showers not working.we went into Cellar Bar on arrival no mugs and had to wait at least 5 mins for the one member of staff to get them. We told him we would need 20 so again had to wait and this happened when we came off the course in the second day so bad organisation by the hotel. However, we all had a great time, loved the course.

A great two rounds , your starter was great . So we will be back next year . Thank you to all in your golf section .

Unfortunately it was very wet for our stay. A lot of ditches so you need to know your way around. Interesting but very short course. Condition of course was fine.

Decent course for a mid/high handicapper, good condition, great staff.

Golf staff could not do more to be helpful, very friendly. Bunkers were all GUR as weather had not allowed these to be repaired before our visit. Grass on or near the fairways quite long but the greens were well kept as were the tees. Good practice putting green near to the first tee. Although the course is fairly flat there are plenty of buggies available. Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 rounds of golf ⛳️ as did all 11 ladies.

Disappointed that 5 holes were still shut, but there has been a lot of rain.

lovely tight golf course. Not over long but some challenging hole layouts

It was a shame the bunkers were out of play and the rough was arguably a little too rough to get out of if you don't hit the fairway. The allocation and maintenance of the buggy stock was a little dissapointing.Despite these points we all agreed we would definately return because with the exception of the buggy situation the other points were impacted by the adverse weather conditions recently.

We were slightly worried when reading the first three holes were a par 3 and the course is under 5000 yards. But what it lacks in overall distance, it makes up in its defence. Water, Trees, sand and challenging greens.

Great course. Not long but challenging, especially the greens. Really friendly staff and members.

A course spoilt by the opening holes. Four holes in the space for two does not create a good impression although the following fourteen were challenging and varied. Could I play it again?, but not for a while.

The only downside of the course was the ridiculous pin positions (usually on the side of a hill which meant that even if you managed to get on the green in regulation below the pin, if you missed the putt, it ended up back at your feet.

As we had various standards and ages of player in our group the course was perfect. The streams and water hazards caught everyone out at some time but the fact that the course was short helped the lesser players. Greens were fast but overall it was perfect for us. Thanks to everyone involved.

The course is quite short in comparison to most, but in saying that it can be quite tricky.

The greens a very hard with pin position being in all the right places (or wrong!) Shortish course but great to get two rounds in a day.

Very quirky course. Ideal for society's all bar the greens, in great condition, are very tricky (I loved them) and challenging for the high handicapper

Played off white tees day one as course looked short but surprised by difficulty with small undulating greens and narrow fairways so played off yellows day two and thoroughly enjoyed the experience

The course was immaculate probably the best kept I've played in a while, my only one gripe from the whole break was the slow play on the Monday. I have learnt since that the rounds are cheaper on a Monday so that's why it was really busy but it was painfully slow
