Delta Hotels by Marriott Worsley Park Country Club

Although Worsley Park is on our doorstep we have never stayed overnight this was a last minute treat to ourselves. We cannot fault anything about the hotel, its facilities, its rooms/decor, bars, restaurants, food and the excellent staff right through the hotel. Unfortunately the golf course was extremely wet under foot with many bunkers masquerading as lakes! It could have been a lot worse it could have been raining whilst we played our two rounds of golf.😁⛳️ The course is very good and the wet conditions did not dampen our enjoyment of the well designed course. We shall return but must make it summer time hopefully in dry conditions to saviour the full golf experience. We would highly recommend Worsley Park.

Excellent hotel, golf, leisure facilities. Obviously popular with local corporate folk which is always a good sign. Typical Marriott hotel, very comfortable, spotlessly clean and good food/drink offerings. Staff were always pleasant and very helpful. Excellent choice for a golfing weekend.

Excellent hotel, refurbished and modern. Staff very professional and friendly. Pool , jacuzzi, steam room all high quality. Meals also of very high standard.

Really first class experience-would certainly return. The evening meal was very good but choice was limited and the staff attention was a bit overkill. I was brought a beer which I did not order, the waiter was reluctant to take it back. He eventually did but it still appeared on the bill! The restaurant manager deducted it and apologised. Pity.

Everyone enjoyed their stay, we will probably hope to return next year. From East Yorkshire not the most convenient location which tells a story.The usual gripe overly priced drinks, sometimes we are offered discounts ??

Lovely hotel, helpful staff. Went for a golf break, unfortunately the course was closed because of the very wet weather, used the spa instead. The hotel did all it could to make our stay enjoyable without the golf. Would strongly recommend. Will visit again. We were a party of 16 golfing ladies.

Great Hotel and course, however due to the bad weather the course was closed for our first round. To make matters worse YourGolf Travel was told the day before and again in the morning (I had a 1230 tee time). We had a call from YourGolf Travel at 1215, 15 minutes before tee time! We could have rescheduled this trip avoiding long trips to Manchester from York and Bristol.

From the moment we checked in we were warmly welcomed by their helpful and very friendly staff. Our room was immaculate and very comfortable everything you could wish for. A perfect place to stay and relax. A wonderful and very enjoyable Breakfast to be recommended.

Been to many golf hotels but this has got to be top of the list ,food and accommodation excellent. Staff always polite a great weekend.

Hotel is excellent. No draft/cask beers is definitely a negative point though.

We've had a golf break for several years with a group of 12 and this hotel is arguably the top of the tree. All the staff were great,from bar and restaurant staff through to the starters. They all gave the impression they wanted us to enjoy the experience they were polite, informed and seemed pleased to be there themselves. Food and restaurant were great and rooms were well appointed. As with most hotels and venues the bar prices were over pub prices but we expect that and they were no more than previous venues. Thanks to all for playing their part in a great couple of days.

Excellent, large , quiet room. Great pool and gym. Friendly staff. Good course but very wet. Would return. Unfortunately our tee times were different to those given by travel company and we were not informed.

Fantastic location for a golf weekend. Only downside was the only 2 pale ales weren't available on a Saturday evening (must of been bad planning!)

All excellent at the golf club. Unfortunately on my arrival home they sent me a bill for £190. I rang last night to tell them I paid £238 to you last August but I have to ring again this morning. Bit annoying!

The hotel and rooms were very good. We had a faulty TV remote which was immediately attended to ✔ One thing we noticed, there weren't any USB sockets in the room, fortunately we had taken our own plug in. Didn't ask if there were any so may have missed them.

Great course Great food great room could do with beer a bit cheaper

The hotel was very clean and the price of your drink was not bad either would go back the only thing that went wrong was your golf travel fault not booking the buggy’s for us telling us the wrong tee times and wrong dinner times we ask for it’s not like your golf travel something as gone wrong my be still working from home I don’t no but they have gone down in my book but over all it was a great weekend away

I really excellent hotel with superb accommodation. The food, service and ambiance were great and we would certainly go there again.

Loved the course and staff were very pleasant carvery was excellent drinks a bit pricey,but nice little old hall pub round corner. Breakfast was self service in trays which wasn't very warm scramble eggs were cold but overall had a nice stay

Amazing hotel and grounds, brilliant hosts to our golf trip. Only downside during our trip was that the sports bar was closed due to staffing issues, otherwise we would have probably just stayed here for the whole trip. We got a short taxi ride to a couple of local pubs, excellent food which was included in our deal.

Great job John from Golf-Travel in selecting this golf trip for our group of 4! Great value for money, gold course was lovely and relaxed, not stuffy. Hotel staff were excellent throughout the stay and seemed genuinely engaged and enjoying their work. We will definitely return to this hotel.

Brilliant stay at the hotel.

Hotel and staff were great. Meals were not up to normal Marriott standard I think breakfast this was partly due to Covid restrictions. The service and value provided by George at Your Golf Travel was excellent.

great venue hotel and staff were brilliant.The golf course was in great condition the course suited both good golfers and the not so good golfers, all the party of 12 thought it was good value.

Hotel really nice. Rooms great 2 double beds in each room.Main bar on night was being refurbished so can't comment on that. Very satisfied with hotel.

Brilliant Hotel & Food

Very enjoyable Sunday Saver. Fantastic hotel. All the ladies in my group thought the hotel was first class with accommodation, the food, the staff, and the bonus of the hotel being just two minutes from the motorway. We have been going on these trips for many years now and that was by far the best hotel we have stayed at.

Our stay at Worsley Park was very good. the staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was also very good. Having said that we never received our £200 to spend in resort, we were given vouchers for 20% off at the bar instead.

Rooms - No Air Conditioning - very hot / humid day . Drinks. - very expensive - advertising special offers which Were no longer valid or has run out !! Staff all very pleasant - appeared to be a lot of young trainees. Service - kept having to chase

The room was magnificent and the bed oh! so comfy. Beverages and alcoholic drinks were horrendously expensive - unnecessarily so.

Excellent accommodation, staff very helpful, especially in the pros shop. It was an excellent weekend away, good food and excellent value for money. We will certainly go again.

The accommodation was excellent,big comfy rooms,large tv and double beds in the twin bedded rooms,very spacious.We stayed on a Sunday driver and had the Carvery buffet which was excellent,lots of choice and extremely tasty,from starters through to dessert.Highly reccomended

Had a fabulous night with eight friends. The rooms were lovely and spacious, the food was lovely and the waiting staff were very attentive. The reception staff were very helpful except for one who shouted at us, her customer service skills need to be improved as she definitely let the team down.

Lovely well designed course with greens that are excellent. However on our visit the course was extremely wet underfoot with many bunkers masquerading as lakes!⛳️🏌️. It did not detract from our golfing enjoyment and we would highly recommend. We shall return but in the summer months.

Lovely course, a fair test for all standards of golf. If we had one criticism, it would be that the bunkers need more sand and more consistency. Otherwise, it is great, and the staff are brilliant.

We have been playing here for the last 5 years and it was the best we’ve seen it. Will book again for next year.

Great parkland course, greens were in excellent condition given dry spell and fairways were were reasonable too. Tee boxes needed some rain, but perfectly playable. Golf course staff were very helpful and personable, all round an enjoyable place to play some good parkland golf👏🏻

Starter very friendly and helpful, course forgiving for higher handicappers which was welcome. Excellent large undulating greens made putting great fun but challenging. The only negative was £40 for buggy which is a bit high. Will definitely return.

Lovely golf course, well presented, a good variation of holes. The weather could have been kinder and previous weather conditions make the course more difficult than it would normally have been.

Unfortunately, due to the wet weather conditions, only 12 holes were open for both rounds we played. The greens and tees were good but fairways and rough were very wet and muddy. The 12 holes were borderline playable. On the Sunday round the sixth hole had no fairway cut and due to the length of grass and ball plugging in the mud ( on fairways) we lost plenty of golf balls from decent shots. Earlier communication about the course conditions would have helped. The course staff were brilliant and went out of their way to make our stay and two rounds the best they could.

Course closed due to the very wet weather. Will go again when the weather has improved.

Unfortunately weather put paid to half of our round but considering the amount of rain the course was in excellent condition. Staff in bar and around course were excellent.

The greeters/starters were so helpful with every aspect. Sent us off full of hope for a great round::: not their fault there had been exceptional heavy rain and the course had been closed for 2 days to allow it to rest, but was indeed still very wet. Although an immaculately kept course in every way. Went really well till the whole game slowed up so much! we didn't complete the round. No fault of the course. Would definitely like to return to Worsley Park in the future.

The course played quite difficult due mainly to lack of run on the fairways making it play quite long ,but overall it was in excellent condition and there was no complaints from our party of 12 would thoroughly recommend.

The course was very wet and not being able to take buggies onto the fairway prevented one of us from playing at all. The schedule for our Day 1 was impossible (2.30pm tee and 7.30pm dinner with a 5hour round of golf didn’t fit) we had changed our meal time in any event but could not book later than 8.00pm so that wouldn’t work either. We went straight from the golf course into the restaurant; not what one wants to do on a weekend break. Altogether Day 1 did not work. Day 2 was very satisfactory and enjoyable. Both days on the course were extremely slow and we waited on every shot for both days.

Our group of 12 have handicaps which range from 10.8 to 41.5. Everyone said they enjoyed it and most had one steady round with only a couple of bandits recording an above average round!! The course was a challenge but managable,as we'd want on the trip. Greens had received maintenance and had been sanded,which was disappointing but needs doing at sometime and didn't affect my enjoyment.

slow play on sunday, there were too many on the course. People drinking beer at half way house did not help. Very wet made conditions tricky. Our tee times were later than the travel company stated and we were not told this.

Always helps when the sun is shining! Greens were quick and sometimes difficult to read.

Good round Sunday but unfortunately rained off Monday but can go back and play another 18 when we like

We had two games, the course was quite wet but that time of year it's expected. Lovely course. First day VERY slow, second day we checked for an earlier time ✔ millionaires golf! We shall be back. Also the pool etc., were all very clean.

Group of 12 and everyone said the course was good and the halfway house pasties were the best

It was in the best condition that I’ve ever played it. The greens had recently been hollow-tined which I understand needs to be done. The sand in, all bar one (12th) was excellent and firm.

Enjoyed the golf course very much, found the course very testy but fair.

Great course, set up was perfect for my 16hcp. Starters were helpful got away early. I will be going back.

Fairway grass slightly long, but greens were excellent. As we were a 2 ball, there were numerous 4 balls in front, which made the round very slow.

Faultless. Even had 2 clear days of sunshine. Good combination of narrow and wide fairways, short and long holes etc.

Very slow 5 hour round on the Sunday painful behind a 4 ball who should no etiquette of letting a 2 ball through but that's society golf for you 😪

Apart from the course being soaked. No fault of anyone. I really enjoyed the course and will deffo be back in warmer dry conditions. Over all superb

Abit disappointed as a group. We were promised buggies because of our tee time,we didn’t get these buggies so didn’t even get to finish the first round of golf because of light. Staff at start of course were not helpful and very ignorant. Second day we didn’t even get to play the course as they shut it. So all in all didn’t really get to play as much golf as we wanted so came home Sunday afternoon disappointed.

The lower scores in a couple of areas was solely due to the extremely wet conditions. The greens on a number of holes had maintenance work being carried out which made putting difficult but in keeping with the high levels of customer service throughout we were given a free four ball voucher to return. We're looking forward to returning to play when the conditions are better.

It was good except for second cut which was to wet and long (due to heavy rain the day before) as a result we lost a few balls!

The course was in excellent condition benefitting from recentrain, with the big tricky greens running well, but not too quick. It suited our wide range of playing abilities perfectly, with plenty of space for the lesser players but still testing for the better ones. Everyone enjoyed it

Surprisingly relaxed and not pressed to play fast which may be due to the Open being on. Staff were relaxed, other golfers unfussy and we had a very enjoyable two rounds.

Brilliant course conditions, very well maintained. Bit slow going round following other groups but overall very impressed.

as a group of 12 good golfers and not so good golfers we thought it was a good fair course to play.

Great course in great condition. Pace of play was slow but that was due to slow groups in front of us not courses fault. Would definitely play again.

Because of the rain we have had lately the course was very wet and boggy especially on Sunday after all the overnight rain we had

Great course. Very helpful staff, in the pro shop and on the course. The greens were in excellent condition. The weather was not too kind to us as it rained off and on when playing on Sunday but the sun shone on the Monday. The course is reasonably hard in that there is a lot of walking from green to the next tee, and some par 4 holes were real testers from a distance point of view. Just one point though, because of the distance between the green and next tee we found it difficult to find the correct direction, perhaps better signage is needed to avoid confusion. All in all a very good, enjoyable course to play.

Very VERY wet underfoot, but tees and greens were very good.

Fairways and tees were in excellent condition. The greens had all been spiked and heavily sanded, Not very good for putting on as all puts were bobbling a lot.

48 players had a great time over the 2 days 1st class great for all abilities will come again No one had a bad word to say

Nice course in good condition with a couple of tricky par 3 holes

The rough was very penal. The greens were true but slow. The course is a challenge for the average player.

Sundays round was perfect, the course very quiet and we did our fourball in 3.5 hours. Much busier on the Monday (bank holiday) and the round was slower, an 1hour longer. Greens had been hollowtined but that's normal, at this time of year, otherwise course in excellent condition. Manageable for all quality of golfers except perhaps beginners as there is water to negotiate.

Despite there having been a lot of rain prior to our playing on the Sunday,the course was in very good condition,off the Yellows,it played long but was a fair test for all our handicaps which ranged from 10-22.The greens were difficult to read and played particulary slow but that didn't deter from a very enjoyable weekend and we will certainly return in the future.

Great, well kept course with some great challenges but also some easier holes to keep you engaged with your round. All in good condition despite some of the recent weather.
