Very good facilities decent golf course great staff a very limited food menu got caught up in slow play on Monday so only played 9 holes would still go again

What a great place, great facilities, very clean, staff friendly and helpful. I will return in the summer. And recommend to all

The room was a bit like a travel lodge with a comfy bed. We had 2 nights and included diner b&b. 3 course meal options were burger or pizza not what I had expected

Clean modern room, good shower and great coffee. Not the most comfortable bed and pillows.

The hotel accomodation and staff were excellent, rooms comfortable and I felt good value for money within the package. The food on the Saturday evening was excellent, albeit a fairly limited menu but as we were staying one night it was ideal post golf fayre. The only challenge (which is more a comms issue) was we were advised breakfast was available from 7am on Sunday, as we had a tee time of 8:14 that was ideal. However, when we arrived the full cooked breakfast was only available from 8am. We proceded to consume cereals, toast and jam (all of which was laid out) and plentiful - when the cooked food suddenly started to appear on the counter at 7:30 - So a better comms there for future reference.

Beds not the best. Barber and restaurant really good.

Room was just perfect. Restaurant was American style but I enjoyed the food. The staff were so efficient and friendly. Enjoyed the fun of the robot waiter. Will definitely return.

Very nice hotel, good food and very great rooms

Was a bit blown away by this resort for the price as well. Views were amazing over the lakes, food was delicious, and there was tons of activities to keep you busy on the resort.

From check in to check out everything was perfect. A big thank you to Hannah especially for looking after us with the rooms. We will definitely be back

Hotel staff were excellent. Always helpful and smiling. Would visit again because of the pleasant staff.

Good value break. Bar seemed poorly managed as they ran out of several beers. Food was good but choice limited and would have been repetitive if we stayed longer. Staff said we should had been given dining time, we were not, and then said it was not their problem!

We stayed in the Willows Training Centre, which was perfect for my group. The rooms were a good size, giving us access to the Cricket Kitchen. Whilst the food is a little basic, it was just what we needed after a round of golf. The bar also had TVs showing the sport, and activities to keep us entertained. I would like to return in the future.

no atmosphere. room clean and tidy but had hole in floor that was carpeted over and therefore trip hazard as in the main walkway in front of the bed. evening meal aweful was like kids meal choice. bar had no atmosphere felt like a student union bar closed at 10.15 on a friday night. breakfast dry where left under heat lamps too long.

Great weekend away everything perfect only Critism would be couldn’t use pool and jacuzzi as closed for maintenance. However will return again staff brilliant and friendly !

Comfortable room with all relevant facilities. New features were a nice surprise. Self service meal selection perhaps not so our preference. Adjacent corner room 210 was a little inconsiderate with visitors until the early hours with window wide open. It did impact my sleep unfortunately but I made a point of mentioning to reception who apologised.It was only mentioned in case same resident was staying a further night and would need to be advised of noise levels. However they were only overnight stay.

Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Couldn’t have asked for more in terms of bar facilities, with pool, darts & shuffle. food is probably the best we’ve had in a golf trip. Admittedly it was a hot weekend but the room was way too hot. It had an air con unit that did nothing. Plus after enquiring at reception I found out the mirrors in the bathrooms are anti-fog which for some reason pumps out heat which really didn’t help.

overall a great place for a weekend of golf, my only criticism was the extremely small choice of food for dinners main course. oh yes & no guinness. i would still highly recommend for a golfing weekend.

We were placed in a training centre and not the hotel, so not the best start, although the rooms were clean but small, this was a short walk from the pro shop and course. Dining menu limited and no dessert course offered, but the food was presented nicely.

The rooms at the hotel were great, looked very new, if its hot probably ask for a fan, as the Air conditioning only goes down to 18.. The food was excellent and the staff were very polite and helpful. We have said we will go back there.

The staff were friendly, and the room and facilities were clean and pleasant.

Very nice clean and well maintained hotel. Can’t fault the staff. Helpful and just so polite and service with a smile all over the resort. Room was very clean and everything you need. Comfy bed , kettle and coffee , Tv. Restaurant also spotlessly clean with attentive staff there to help. We were on a golf package and had a set menu to choose from. Food was very nice and well presented. Just one negative if it really is one there’s not really enough “ pub” seating inside the bar it’s mainly restaurant seating with tables set to eat. That’s a personal preference so not really a negative as there is plenty of seating Overall a definite 9.5 /10. Actually I’d say 10/10 because bar seating is a personal choice. Thanks to the all the staff for making our stay enjoyable.

Hotel, staff and food excellent. The sports bar was brilliant and really made the trip awesome. Boys paradise if you like fun pub games at no extra cost. Highly recommended for a weekend away and will defo return. Great value for money.

Really enjoyed our stay over at Wyboston Hotel. Can’t fault anything about our trip, everything was spot on and perfect! Only issue with the room was it was very hot and even with turning off the heating and having the air con fan on it still stayed very warm overnight which made it slightly uncomfortable for myself to be able to breathe. But this was only a very minor issue and might not affect all customers, just myself being slightly asthmatic it made my sleep just a little bit unpleasant. Other than that facilities, cleanliness, amenities, service, prices were all top class!

We stayed in the Willows Hotel. The bar opens at 5. Warning there is no Guinness available in any of the resort hotels. Rooms are very good,recently refurbished with large TV, great entertainment suite but small single beds. Small menu but good food, good selection for breakfast and free tea and coffee available all the time.

I’ve been back to Wyboston for the last 3 years and have enjoyed every stay. I plan on another visit soon

Really great set up. Multiple hotels and bars within walking distance means you can switch it up on different nights. The sports bar was a particular highlight. Bars shut at 11pm Set menu was solid.

The rooms at the Waterfront are modern albeit a bit small but have all the amenities required for a nights stay. The walk in shower was excellent bed comfort OK there is a TV in the room which we never used and the tea and coffee facilities were very useful overall perfect for an overnight stay. We have stayed here on previous occasions and noted that the bar and restaurant have been modernised which gives the place a more open feel. The food offering for the evening meal was served promptly and was of a good standard. I am not so sure about the selection available on the menu though it is basically all comfort type food fish and chips burgers pizzas etc. Before the restaurant was re-named the Gravel Pit it was called the Waterfront Brasserie which served a really nice selection of meals from a wide menu which provided a good dining experience however what was served as I have mentioned was fine. Breakfast was also taken in the Gravel Pit and was as expected with the usual range of hot and cold offerings presented on a buffet. My only observation about the bar were the cost of beverages two coffees and a tea £11.55 equally the cost of a glass of Merlot £11. Factored in with the cost of the trip which was reasonable they take the shine from any stay

Was not told that the amenities were out of action again, so could not use the swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam room etc. which was very annoying!

Well presented hotel with comfortable rooms. Only disappointment was with the menu for the included dinner, which was very limited and imposed a very hefty add on for the steak. Food itself was of good quality.

Brilliant stay, unfortunately the wi fi was really bad, could not use our phones.

I must say the hotel was lovely but more importantly the staff in every department were extremely helpful and accommodating. Couldn’t do enough for you. We are already considering going back next year for the same deal, if you can give us a price for 6-7th July 2025

Rooms were standard as you’d expect, staff were very helpful and polite. Food was exceptional in my opinion, I’d definitely visit again.

This was our second visit in as many years and the service was better than previous. Along with the situation which is superb by the water.

Rooms very warm. All rooms ok with the exception of one which was wet.

Lovely staff and food, great location, room very small and therefore very hot, could not leave the window open as on ground floor. Fan supplied but not very effective. Lovely for a one night stay but not for a week.

The hotel and staff were very helpful, decoration modern, which is really nice However the menu choices for the evening meal were basic for a ladies away weekend. Only one choice of salad, no pasta or rice dish choices.

Stayed here for a surprise 50th birthday golf weekend and could not fault apart from bar shutting rather early. Staff all polite / friendly and hotel immaculately clean / comfortable

Absolutely atrocious why was 16 golfers put in the Willows training centre?? 😡😡 and not in the the main complex?? There was 150 students at 7pm at the same time as us waiting to get a meal 🥘 45minutes it was chaos and the food was below anything I’ve ever eaten. As for getting served at the bar we had to wait at times 15/30 minutes , to be charged @ £6.50 a pint. 😡😡 Pro shop and golf course very good. Thank You YGT for making 16 Golfers not very happy. Would never 👎 go back to that complex and YGT wouldn’t rate you to anyone after that . Paul Luckman. 😡😡😡👎👎

I stayed at a clean, modern, and interesting hotel. The food was delicious and nicely presented. My only suggestion for improvement would be to extend breakfast hours on weekdays past 9 am and make the rooms a little more spacious. However, the fan provided in each room was a welcome addition.

The hotel was fine, but the other golfers were a little down market! Nothing to do with the hotel but a bit disappointing.

A nice clean hotel with decent rooms. Restaurant was ok but not much of a bar area but great seating outside if the weather is nice. Daytime staff were pleasent and welcoming but we had issues with the night time staff who clearly had an attitude to any groups who were enjoying themselves in a respectful manor and causing no problems to any other residents. Complaint has been made to the management and is being investigated.

Room very clean, staff very helpful and an enjoyable stay.

Hotel was nice and modern although it was described as a training and event centre. Rooms were fine albeit very warm and the restaurant although nice was very modern and reminded us of a student dining room. Biggest shame was we were the only ones in there.

We arrived an hour before tee time to have a spot of lunch before going out but service was so slow had to have it wrapped to take on course. Coffee was expensive and luke warm. Obviously lack of staff. Staff were very good throughout stay.Should have leisure facilities but pool closed at 4.00 on Sunday so not able to use and was not told you had to book for following morning. Sauna out of order. Power failure not due to hotel fault which meant we had to eat early as the food could not be kept hot. No ice as machine broken.No temperature control in room Room very hot even with window open.

Everything was brilliant. Nice rooms, decent food and drink. Good facilities all round. The only negative thing was the price of the bar. £6.50 a pint and £13 for a double spirit and mixer is abit over the top, but everything else was top draw.

Well presented, modern looking resort with small but comfortable rooms. Rain shower was great after a round on the golf course. Restaurant for dinner and breakfast was great, friendly service, fancy robot delivering food which brought a smile and tasty food.

Rooms we’re just refurbished and to a very high standard.

Hotel was great, food amazing, golf course was below average, bunkers were awful, with no sand at all, however the biggest disappointment was the spa, we booked as a golf/spa break, guys played golf the girls wanted the spa, but we never had use of the Y spa that was in the hotel, we had to use the leisure centre across the car park, this was small and certainly wasn’t what we were expecting. If you’re looking for a true spa break then this isn’t the place. I would say that the staff at the hotel were all amazing but because we booked through an agent we had no right to complain direct. Overall we felt really let down by our visit Mark

The rooms were tidy and comfortable however, the shower stopped working on Friday evening and we were not moved into another room untill late on Saturday afternoon (19.15 hours).

The room was immaculate! Stunning room lots of space and could easily cater for a weeks stay! The food for dinner and breakfast was fresh and plentiful! The games room in the loft was a nice touch and kept us busy for hours! The staff were really chatty, friendly and helpful and couldn’t do enough for us! What a great place!

Rooms were very good. Wi-Fi was non existent in our room. The menu was limited to bar food and was expensive. Staff were very helpful.

Contemporary style Restaurant/Bar limited menu however the food was good. Quiet modern comfortable rooms, with excellent Showers, good tea Coffee making Facilities. Overall a good quality Hotel

Arrived early to try and book in and was told quite stiffly to return 3pm. When we eventually got there the hotel was deserted but yet we were given a room miles from reception. The food was awful and none of the staff even spoke let alone spoke to us. The bar was totally empty and no music or atmosphere so we didn't bother and decided to check out early

Nice rooms, we had a small kitchenette and fridge. Everything we needed for a 1-night golf stay. Staff were really nice and friendly. We were at The Willows so used the Cricketers restaurant which was more than large enough to accommodate everyone. Food was decent but once again rip off bar prices. £6.50 for a bottle, you don't mind people making money but ripping people off is the UK mentality. It's a 4 min walk to the golf course from the Willows, so ok.

A nice challenging course with a lot of water, nice new rooms, very comfortable. It was a busy course, but excellent value for money.

A very nice hotel which is located right next to the golf course. The bedrooms are little bit small but otherwise very comfortable. The food was very good but the restricted dinner menu for groups of 10 or more was the only downside. The restaurant and bar area is nice and modern, both indoor and out with nice views over the lakes. The drinks are a bit expensive, £6+ for most beers, but it was to be expected.

16 of us visited Wyboston lakes in July 2022 and after a few teething problems, we enjoyed good food, pleasant surroundings, very good service and an above average hotel golf course. an overall survey of the guys rated their stay 8/10.

A nice clean hotel, staff were very friendly, room was good. Buffet style dinner and breakfast at the cricket arms also went down well with our group. The gravel pit bar is by the golf course and it's where we were before and after the rounds of golf, a very friendly atmosphere from the club members and the staff. We went back in the evening after dinner for a few drinks and we received a slightly hostile welcome from a manager, asking some of our group "should you really be in here?". Other than that an overall great weekend and would definitely look to return at some point.

Was a good stay at hotel but the evening meal was very confusing. We asked at willows about are evening meal and was told we were eating at the gravel pit at the waterfront restaurant so walked over there to be told we had no reservations there and was told we were booked in at the willows for a buffet. So we had to walk back to the willows again for our buffet meal, but after our meal we couldn’t use the bar there as there was a private party on so had to walk back to the waterfront bar again for a drink. Then after drinks had to walk back to willows for bed time.

The Gravel bar restaurant and bar was more like a canteen than a bar/restaurant. No atmosphere, no background music or any tv’s showing any sport. One particular bar person served us but seemed like he didn’t want to be there. Drinks very overpriced, £5.50-£6.00 for a beer, £36 for a bottle of Prosecco! Evening meal was not good, out of 6 of us, 5 complained that their food was dry, I.e. chicken and burgers. Irish coffees were lacking in coffee and cream and looked very insipid, we could not drink them. Breakfast was cold food not helped by the cold plates and finished too early at 9.00am. Went to use cubicle in the toilets and won’t describe on here what it was like, but couldn’t use it.

Like going back in time honestly thought we booked into Cross Roads. Really needs investment. The staff were very helpful. Food very poor the buffet style evening meal was very disappointing not a good range and the food was cold. Breakfast honestly they need to go to beefeater now that's how to do a breakfast. The bacon was so tough it was like eating leather. And no toast. No don't waste your money

A very good hotel and good food, staff very slow but friendly.

Venue , staff and all facilities first class. Our golf society is looking for same or similar for next year, same weekend as this year, all within one hours drive north of Watford Herts. Same number of golfers, maybe one or two more. Buggies , bed/breakfast ,evening meal. Maybe the only thing missing was perhaps sports bar with TV. Recently decorated hotel, to a very high standard, with lots of helpful staff but a few issues with lack of stock at the bar. This was my first golfing weekend, and we all left talking about our next trip. Really good food in the restaurant, and I felt it offered really good value for money. I’m fact the overall weekend was really good value for money.

A reasonable standard with overall decent accommodation and catering. Very good value for money.

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Hotel was clean throughout, the food was amazing and good range of drinks in the bar. Location is slightly on the secluded side for anyone wanting night life on top of a golf weekend. Ideal though for those who just want a golf weekend,good food and a few drinks in the evening with friends.

Water front hotel was very nice, hotel stay with the golf and nice weather made it a great couple of days.

Bar & restaurant area was uncomfortably cold ! Food was very good , rooms modern and clean ( could do with more teabags). Staff in restaurant in evening were very attentive but in the morning for breakfast had to be prompted & asked a lot for tea/ coffee & other condiments. Also bar had run out of tonics ?!?

Hotel was good the restaurant on the other hand offered us a set menu to choose from that we did 6 days before our arrival only to be told the next day we were to late and had to have what we were given

Brilliant, complete contrast to our previous location, friendly welcoming staff, lovely comfortable rooms especially the bed , and a good rain shower in the bathroom, extensive menu in the Restaurant, great staff, and brilliant all you can eat full English breakfast .

Accommodation ok, I’d advise booking in advance any spa treatment you may like as fully booked most weekends - as for swimming I wouldn’t recommend packing your trunks

Had a very nice stay at the waterfront hotel as part of a 1 night 2 round golf weekend. Facilities and course were of a high standard and the food was excellent. Our break was extremely good value for money, when you consider the Waterfront standard price for room only is £200 and for £456 we got 2 rounds of golf, 3 course evening meal, 2x twin rooms and breakfast. I'd say that's a bargain any way you cut it. Only marked down on overall and value for money due to drinks and non-included food being pretty high cost, but this is pretty standard hotel prices to be fair, however £6 a pint outside of London is a little steep! would highly recommend though.

We stayed at the Training Centre and my room was really small. Bar and restaurant was a bit basic but fine for the money.

Hardly anybody there and it is a conference hotel and not what I would call a golf hotel,it felt cold and unwelcoming! Our room was the furthest away from the dining call,quarter of a mile of corridors! Had to wait an eternity for the food which was pretty dire. Overall a bit of a crap experience not to be recommended!

The hotel was well run under the covid restrictions . The food was excellent apart from the breakfast which was lacking somewhat .

Really happy , in these difficult times the staff were friendly but efficient in maintaining safety regulations, we felt safe in the environment.

Beer very expensive at £6 a pint, evening meal average, breakfast poor as kept warm and slightly dried up, rooms smallish for twins, would not go back.

In view of the corona virus restrictions the overall hotel stay and dining experience was very good.Although the spa facilities were closed which was very dissappointing

The Hotel was very nice But the bar prices were very high.

We stayed in the cheapest rooms at the hotel and we couldn't find any faults with the rooms. The staff were absolutely fantastic only down side are the prices of the drinks at the bar

Beat golf hotel we have stayed at. Food, accommodation and service was excellent. The only downside was the price of bar drinks - £5 pint of beer and £23 for house wine

What a wonderful place! Rooms were very clean, modern, and the bed was very comfortable. Must say it was rather hot in the room but we just opened a window. Great value for money .. the only complaint really was the price of the drinks bit too high. Other then that fantastic stay. Thank you

Whole trip was ridiculously good value for money. Hotel was brilliant.

The staff couldn’t of been more helpful!!! We had a large party of 5 couples staying, 5 guys for the golf and 5 ladies for the spa - the reception ladies were incredibly helpful, from suggesting walks around the lake to getting us all checked in. Unfortunately the pool was out of order due to maintenance but when we queried this they offered to give us £10 each credit for the bar - this was brilliant for us and we were more than happy with the £100 we could collectively spend at the bar!!! The bar staff were also brilliant and nothing was too much trouble - couldn’t recommend enough, lovely hotel in a lovely setting with lovely staff - will definitely be going back!!!

recent re furb, it was like staying in a new hotel only the staff were well practised at what they was doing and looked after us all with great efficiency. The rooms are not huge but are adequate for our needs. Excellent.

the golf course and accommodation was really great but the service in the bar and restaurant was very poor. The food was not very nice it was over cooked and very bland and i complained on the saturday and refused to pay the meal supplements. Obviously the kitchen cannot cope with large groups. Breakfast was cold on the first day but better on the second day.

Very small rooms even though we were in the most expensive of the three golf package holidays . Food and bar really good though and helpful staff.

Took a group of 10 for a long weekend to Wyboston Lakes and had a fantastic time. The course is interesting but fair and works for a range of handicaps. Hotel, meals and facilities are first class. Would recommend. Alan R

Good first day but only played 9 holes monday caught up with slow players after 5 holes

Winter tee's, made the course shorter, the greens had been spiked, so not easy to put. Saying that in the summer it will be a great course to play.

Golf pro accommodating changing t times and for 3rd round on day 3 they let us off the back 9

Not as daunting as the map suggested but still challenging. Slow greens and fairways needing cutting. Very slow and congested on the Sunday. Would play here again but book midweek to avoid busy Sundays.

The course itself was fine for a group with players of mixed abilities (from 10 handicap to a couple of "play twice a year" chaps). I felt the course, improved as we got round - the back 9 certainly better than the front. In some places quite close together. It was fine for our needs but was not a course that more experienced golfers looking for a challenge would find appealing. That said, despite being busy the layout seemed to cope well with the numbers.

Course very nice. Greens not great.

Overall enjoyable time. Fairways not too good. Greens were average. Tee box's were good but not flat. Road noise. Probably over played. Nice golf shop and clean facilities. Would definitely return to the hotel for a short break.

Unfortunately the first round on the Friday was incredibly overbooked and therefore very slow . We walked in after 9 holes ! The Saturday morning was a lot better and played a normal pace round of golf . Pretty straightforward, won't need your driver much , lots of dog legs . Lots of water but doesn't really come into play much . Bunkers in good condition as were tees and fairways, greens were a bit bumpy. The place has lots of potential

not a great experience, all groups walk off the course on Sunday as the pace of play took 3 hrs to complete 9 holes, greens were in very, very poor condition and tee boxes also, very obvious they have too many golfers booked in!!

Really fun course, lots of dog legs, lakes and ponds. The greens were immaculate as well. Was really impressed with this course.

Hats off to the green keepers for managing to maintain a great standard of the course with such a dry spell of weather.

Golf shop staff were diabolical and kept blaming the Hotel personnel for everything. Allowing visitors with ZERO golf etiquette is detrimental. Its a comparatively short course and took 5.5 hrs to complete. 4 ball on 2 buggies were super slow but no staff to tell them about speed of play. Also, pro staff allowed another 4 ball to split into 2 balls with " as long as they Tee off in their allocated time, we dont care". Shame on pro shop staff for letting down the great service given by the hotel and bar staff. If you want to encourage more stay & golf, change personnel immediately.

Slow round on Sunday but pace OK on Monday. Tees were badly worn on Sunday but much better Monday, don’t think they move them over the weekend. Greens were a bit slow and a little bare in places but not bad.

The course was exactly the right level of difficulty for my group of mixed abilities and ages. There were just enough challenges on each hole to keep it interesting, but I would say overall the course was relatively easy. Unfortunately, our first round was slow, but this is to be expected given the course is built around attracting corporate groups and large groups just like myself. Our round the following day was a good pace. Despite this, we had a great time and would like to return in the future

Most enjoyable amongst longstanding friends . We visit annually and are always made welcome by the pro shop. Golf was variable as only one full time golfer others play once a year at best sadly.

Friendly staff in pro shop. Range was great though a little expensive at £12 for 100 balls. Course was in a good condition overall. Great scenery. Good opportunities to score low which made it fun to play, a few holes still presented some interesting challenges. Buggies at £40 is a little steep for me, maybe if they were hooked up with GPS etc. but these were fairly old. The jet ski lake did somewhat ruin the atmosphere for a few holes.

Course in good condition considering the heat burnt up fairways as you would expect greens a tad slow but imagine they are being protected due to extreme heat but putted true and receptive overall very impressed for a resort course

i like playing at wyboston, completely different to my local course. different challenges, lots of water, but not dangerously so. its flat and the ball runs with sometimes unpredictable bounce. i would highly recommend.

Considering the course is surrounded by water, the fairways were very dry and rock hard, why aren’t they using the lakes for irrigation! The course is full of doglegs which would be awkward for the short hitter. The greens were ok but quite slow and fluffy.

The course was very testing, with lots of dog legs, 5 x par 3's but not easy. The greens were slow, but that's from coming from a fast course. If you want a buggy book in advance, but the course is flat. Lovely course with the river and lakes around you, we will go back. The guy in the Pro shop, very helpful and polite.

The course was decent and the fairways were in good condition, but the greens were much too slow.

From the pro shop to the course we found it a great 2 rounds this week. Guys in shop very welcoming and helpful. Plenty of buggies too which was a godsend as it was extremely hot for both our days. Course is in great condition and well kept and maintained. Front 9 includes quite a bit of water to challenge all levels of golfer. Absolutely beautiful setting running alongside the river. Quite forgiving course for straight hitters ‘which I’m not one’ All in all 2 great days of golf. Thoroughly enjoyable.

We enjoyed the golf abd played 2 rounds. We kept the format fun in the form of a better ball team and texas scramble on round 2. It was a good challenge for our group ranging from 10 to 28 handicaps. Greens were but this was acknowledge by the pro in the shoo and they are working on it. It didnot spoil the weekend or golf and we would certainly return and play again. We were lucky with beautiful weather, however setting very picturesque and enjoyed the rounds very much.

Greens poor but weather not been great and will definitely improve a lot ..

The golf course at Wyboston is superbly maintained and the tee times are suitably set apart so that there were no real blockages during the round. The pro shop is well stocked with everything you need and the pro behind the counter was an exceptionally nice fellow. Greens were slightly slower than expected but probably because they might have had some treatment works on them recently which would be understandable. But looked great and will surely be back to brilliant condition very soon. Had an enjoyable two rounds here and cannot fault anything about it

I made the course hard. Good width fairways, lovely and flat Interesting course with some Tricky holes. A lot of water and hazards. Annoying noisy boat lake. Tees were over played and greens didn't have any give in them but all in all a great course and will play again

The golf course has amazing scenery with the lakes close by, the course was good. We were a bit disappointed to be playing off winter tees on such an amazing weekend of sunshine also the greens were a bit patchy but overall good value for the money.

Really forgiving course, perfect for a group of 36 handicappers.

The course is fine for most golfers abilities it is set around water features which makes it a little more challenging however there are 5 short holes which shortens the length somewhat, overall being totally flat it was an easy walk

Well designed course with enough to challenge most golfers. As the name suggests water plays a major part! Greens were excellent, fairways were ok but the tee boxes were not the best.

Some of the fairways were just full of flowers hard to find your ball, greens were awful full of little weeds and quite long grass which made the greens very slow. Practice Green wasn’t the greatest in the world either. Definitely need a new Green keeper.

Played Friday and was a great game,Saturday our time slot was in the middle of a tournament so we jumped onto the 10th and done 9 holes with no hold up.

The course is set up as a good test for lower handicaps as well as a test for long handicaps. How ever the greens were pour in that you had to really put hard to reach the hole. The two rounds were in full sun shine late 20's centigrade so not damp just woolly.

The course was very picturesque, the water, wild life were nice to look at. The greens seems slow compared to other golf clubs The pro shop staff were really nice and very helpful.

Little disappointed. The greens looked good but they were slowest greens I’ve ever played on . Fairways were ok. But if you missed the fairway the second cut was covered in daises. Wouldn’t be rushing back to play this course again

Challenging course for us high handicap players, but really enjoyed the rounds.

Saturdays round was really enjoyable but Sundays was rather slow, too many slow groups out causing long tailbacks. Course was kept to a decent standard apart from a lot of pitch marks on the greens

Golf course and pro shop very good.

We were unlucky with the weather as it poured down for much of the round. Greens were recently airated and hollow tined which we had not been forwarned about. I would imagine it would be a very attractive course in the sunshine! Lots of water hazards - not all red / yellow staked clearly. Some Teeing areas needed a trim too. We all got round in under 4 hours despite the weather but then again there wasn't anyone else on the course! Would like to return in better weather.

AI had a wonderful experience playing a lovely and interesting golf course that had water features throughout. The best part was that we had the option to avoid hitting over the water if we didn't want to. Moreover, all the players were very friendly and supportive. The range balls were also affordable, and it was great to be able to practice our swings. The chipping area was decent, and the putting practice area was also satisfactory. Overall, it was a delightful day on the course.

The greens were good but the course needs some tlc. Quite an easy course.

A nice course with a few tricky holes but not overly long especially for the low handicap players. Perfect for mid- high player's Greens could of been a bit quicker but they were still in good condition considering the weather prior to our rounds. Wouldn't hesitate to play this course again.

A very enjoyable couple of rounds, the course has some interesting holes with plenty of water surrounding views very picturesque.

Both rounds were quick front 9 but very slow on the back 9 with us waiting almost every shot. Greens were very wolly and some challenging holes in terms of length in moderate to strong winds.

Decent course not too hilly or overly long. Well kept condition. Greens were quite slow but overall good range of holes and a decent course to play

Nice course, greens and fairways in great condition. Greens a little slow on day 1 but cut in morning of day 2 and were then spot on. Practice facilities and shop were good with nice range of products, although driving range across the road at the back of the car park. Spoke to a regular and he said not a winter course due to water table and being surrounded by lakes doesn’t help drainage. Recommend this course as nice challenge and great condition.

Under maintained course, some holes were more difficult than others, bunkers dreadful, greens fluffy and really slow, this was more like a pay and play parks course. If you’re playing at the weekend the water sports centre is open in the middle of the course and the constant sound of speed boats and jet skis does get quite annoying.there were a few large societies and the round took nearly 5 hours for a 2 ball!

As a reasonable standard golfer I found the course to have good holes and in good condition.

Friday the greens were extremely slow but speeded up throughout the weekend even thought we are used to closer trimmed greens

We played over two days Friday and Saturday. Friday was easy and quick but Saturday was slow having to wait for 10 mins at least on every tee box. Wasn’t the best finish to the weekend really and left feeling a little underwhelmed! The lady in the pro shop was great offering us to re do the front 9 again but not what we wanted to do. Would have been nice to get a heads up that there were large bookings on the day we were playing. There were at-least three large groups in front of us that were slow. May re think about playing here again on a weekend. The ball cleaners were all bone dry which was a little frustrating and the greens were quite poor on most holes.

Well looked after a real good challenge wit all the water loved every bit of it

Course guide and pro tips on the tees were very helpful to plan your shots to stay out of trouble. Would highly recommend this course.

The course was struggling as a result of a dry summer. The fairways were patchy and the greens were very slow. Unfortunately on the second day we followed a society who had no clue about golf etiquette which led to a five and half hour round.

Very busy popular course, with plenty of water hazards etc, which made the round slow, held up by many slow 4 ball players in front Greens very patchy in places and bunkers in poor condition, some with very little sand, and worse of all players in front not raking

I already knew it was presidents Cup upon our arrival and had high expectations for the courses condition however I was surprised just how poor condition the tee box and greens were in and lots of holes in the ground and bare patches but I suppose with the summer we've had maybe some allowances should be made. Coupled up with our poor reception at the hotel we didn't stay for our round on Monday and definitely won't be returning.

Looking online at the course, I thought that it was going to be narrow, short gimmicky holes and loads of water, but was surprised how decent it was. You have to think on the shorter holes, with ponds, ditches, trees etc to negotiate off the tee. Nice and flat course so easily walkable. Plenty of green grass on the fairways, greens were slow first day but don't blame them due to hot weather but were cut for 2nd day. Lady in pro shop was really nice and helpful. We noticed on the Saturday when playing the 17th, a massive society out, there were 16 waiting to tee off on the 3rd, a 6-ball playing together, one lad not wearing a top, bottles of Lucozade and sweet wrappers on the course. They need a Marshall on weekends as looked chaos, and lucky we were out early. YGT said they booked buggies for us but when we got there, they hadn't. Good society course, plenty of challenges and we enjoyed it

We could have done with buggies going around with water as it was so hot.

We had a great time on the course the only let down they need to sort the tee boxes found loads of lost balls

A lot of non golfers out there with very little etiquette, wearing no shirts, leaving empty bottles about, your normal typical louts you get. But having said that, we were well clear of them and enjoyed 2 good rounds of golf. Excellent value for money.

The course was decent and provided a number of interesting holes. We played two rounds in late July and found that the fairways were pretty brown which was to expected due to the recent hot weather. The greens were very green, in good condition but played quite slow. The only downside about the course was the poor condition of the tee boxes on our first round. On our second day we found that all of the tee boxes had been moved back by 10-15 yards which made some of the holes play a little differently.

A few very pretty holes along the river and around the lakes. Many dog leg holes that require medium clubs but good ball striking. What it lacks in yardage it makes up for in interest. Would visit again for a stay or a round.

Playing this course on one of the hottest weekends of the year left the fairways quite dry, that can't be helped and it didn't effect our enjoyment of the course. The greens and tee boxes were in fantastic condition. It's not the hardest of courses on the whole but it was challenging, it made you think about club choice/shot type a lot more than other courses we've played. I would definitely recommend Wyboston lakes to any group looking for a good value break on a well looked after course.

Nice golf course but a couple of greens not so good and a few areas round greens should have been GUR.

Course was OK for a resort course. Slow on the Sunday, fine on the Monday.

Proshop well stocked staff were superb. Tee boxes need attention. Bunker why have them,they don't have any sand in them. The course setting is absolutely beautiful. The fairways were amazing 👏. The rough was at the right level. I honestly would play the course again but not stay there.

Lovely day

We had two rounds of golf in two days, one in glorious sunshine. Would’ve been nice if a drink was offered at the 10th or if a golf buggy with cold drinks was driven around the course selling drinks/snacks. The course is well established with some challenging bunkers, tree lines and approaches.

Course generally in good condition (a few tee boxes little worn) and pace of round generally average (day1 slower than day 2 by about 45 minutes).

Some of the greens could do with some extra care, but overall the course was in great condition and perfect for a weekend of golf. The only downside was that the driving range had been closed off as they were still repairing from previous weather issues.

Very relaxing and enjoyable the greens had suffered from the weather we had ball bouncing on the greens pot luck if the ball went in the pot but still great time had

Great location, and views over the lakes, course in good condition, apart from the autumn leaves, which made ball finding on the fairways difficult, however lots of hidden water skies this course a good challenge, very helpful staff , would definitely recommend.

Interesting layout, unfortunately the greens had just be hollow tuned. Course is noisy being adjacent to the A1, apart from that it’s ok - no bar in clubhouse, you have to go back into the hotel bar

Value for money through your golf travel was excellent. Facilities very good and course is lovely. It rained all afternoon and the next day the course was perfectly playable with no temp greens or tees due to water.

Quite difficult with a 28 handicap but enjoyed the challenge

This is a great, picturesque course, but very poor bobbly greens

Two enjoyable rounds of golf though some holes caused difficulty for those who couldn't clear the water features. A lot of balls were lost in the ditches and dense rough also. The greens were not particularly in the best condition. The group of ladies I brought here still enjoyed the experience and my comments reflect their views.

Not enjoyable at all , unfortunately the greens had been deeply spiked and sand sprayed all over the greens, could not putt on them whatsoever, made the two rounds we played (6 person s ) a totally bad experience. Did mention it to the manager however, not really interested as think he was more interested in the hotel side of things.

Lack of routine maintenance greens uncut holes damaged and obviously not changed regularly tee boxes.damaged and again tee pegs not moved enough pro shop move tee times to suit members and b*****ks to the guests the same with buggy bookings

Great place to play and stay the greens had improved since our last visit which made for better golf. The willows accommodation is basic but comfortable and the food was ok , but for the price paid was very good value for money. Would not hesitate to return.

Rain spoilt play both days

The round on Saturday was. Painful we were in a buggy (ie2 ball)other party in a 3 ball in front .Ahead of them was 3 four balls they would not let us through .We gave up on the 16th hole. on Sunday we teed off at 10 o’clock on front of the members and had a most enjoyable round.I spoke to the golf pro/ assistant and complained about the condition of the course and he said that they have received many complaints and that the hotel had furloughed 3 grounstaff in April and hardly any maintenance had been done. We feel the golf element of the package was well below par.

Despite the recent terrible weather course was surprisingly playable, greens were very soft but to be expected would happily play again.

In poor condition due to the bad weather. Would have preferred to have cancelled altogether and be given a refund but obviously this is difficult because we’d already travelled 2+ hours to get there. Greens were horrendous, footprints everywhere, and like trying to putt on jelly. Some of the tee boxes were shocking, not because of the rain, jut very undulating. Course was closed on day 2 and so we were given a £15 pp refund, however, this made the trip £75 per person for 1 round of golf on a poor course and the hotel, with a 2+ hour drive home. Overall not very happy but what can you do.

We were rained off on Sunday due to torrential rain making course unplayable. Played on Monday and course was in reasonable condition.

quite an easy course .very flat.good for high handicapers like myself and partner.but still interesting with lots of water.hardley any hold ups . pro shop very helpful and friendly. would definitely play again

The course was in good condition, the bunkers could do with some attention but you get that at most golf courses. Good challenge for all standard of golfers

Ideal course for seniors / ladies / mixed groups. Plenty of water to catch you out, course management is key so no advantage for the big hitters. Some of the greens need weed control urgently, but overall a great experience. We will return. Well stocked pro shop and very helpful staff.

Few issues due to adverse weather bringing trees down and scattering branches over fairways but not a lot the staff could do about it. Great value for money...

Excellent condition not too long but with some holes you really have to think about suits all level of golfers excellent 3 rounds and enjoyable

What a fantastic course. Everyone in the group said how beautiful it was with all the various trees. There was water around but I do not think it hindered the golfing experience at all. It was wonderful especially as I played well!

They pack far to many groups on course

Very interesting and pretty course, in fantastic condition. could maybe do with a bit signage directing to the next hole and the grass was a touch long on the greens making them slow. Overall a superb experience.

No course in the middle of March is going to be perfect and this course was no exception. The river Ouse runs through the course and there are any number of lakes which results in a high water table which will prove difficult for any green staff to maintain. Couple this with a gale force wind then you can understand the difficulties experienced. Having said this we as a group of 23 had thoroughly enjoyable Sunday break and I know that some would be pleased to revisit the resort in better conditions. My main complaint regarding the course was the placement of tee mats which in some cases were some 50 to 60 yards forward of the actual yellow markers which changes the whole concept of the course. There is plenty of room around most teeing areas and I would suggest that the mats are moved closer to the tees to reflect the difficulty of the course. All in all the 2 days were enjoyed by the party.

Fairway's were fluffy but what course isn't with this wet weay

Lovely course quite easy as we are high handicappers and didn’t find much trouble . First round an absolute pleasure second round was horrible but only due to constant rain. Course was in great shape really enjoyed this stay .

Good friendly pro shop. Greens were slow but true and in good condition. Fairways were still recovering but generally fine. Plenty of water to think about but not overly difficult to avoid. Good course.
