Bamburgh Castle Golf Course
Bamburgh Castle Golf Club is home to an 18-hole golf course designed by George Rochester. The course offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and challenging but fun golf, with fairways winding through dunes and heathland. The layout is well-balanced, highlighted by the two par 3s followed by two par 5s to start.
The course is a classic links and is known as one of the most scenic golf courses in England thanks to its location on the coastline. While the fun and thought-provoking layout of the course itself is of a standard to challenge any level of golfer, the views ensure that everyone who visits here will leave with fond memories.
The stunning views on the course are matched by those from the clubhouse, which overlooks the first tee and the North Sea. Although recently extended, the clubhouse was built in 1904 when the club was founded, offering charm and character. Good but exposed course, some great holes, especially the Par 3’s. Some bare patches on the fairways, but didn’t spoil the round. Staff and members all very friendly 👍
