Founded in 1890, Goswick Links is an authentic seaside links located along the beautiful Northumberland Coastline, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, halfway between Newcastle and Edinburgh and just south of the historic market town of Berwick-Upon-Tweed and the England/Scotland border. It affords sensational views of the North Sea, Holy Island and majestic Bamburgh Castle.
This James Braid masterpiece is one of just 15 courses selected by the R&A to host regional qualifying for The Open Championship. Golf World ranks it as one of the top 100 links courses in GB&I and National Club Golfer rates it among the top 50 courses of all kinds in England. Its pure fescue fairways deliver a lively bounce and its greens roll fast and true all year-round. This is an absolute must-play for any golfer visiting the North East or on their way to or from Scotland.

The coastal location of Goswick ensures that it very rarely succumbs to adverse weather conditions, with good tees and greens year round. Arguably Northumberland's premier links course, the James Braid design traverses the humps, bumps and hollows of the Berwick shore, and is a truly pleasurable golfing experience.
Set foot on the first tee at Goswick and you’ll have taken the first step on a journey where you can lose yourself amid a vast natural canvas of tumbling fairways, rippled greens, natural bunkers, sweeping shorelines and panoramic views. This par 72 layout stretches from 5,709 yards from the forward tees to 6,803 from the tips. But a round on this championship track is far more qualitative than quantitative. It really must be experienced to be fully appreciated.
The award of the Open Championship regional qualifier will only serve to enhance the course's already excellent reputation, so why not experience Goswick yourself with a golf tour in the North East?

Really friendly welcome and great golf course and facilities. Really enjoyed it. It was a busy visitor day so the round took over four hours, simply a result of fourballs ahead of us, but it didn’t spoil the day. Will definitely go back to play again.

Goswick is a must to play if you like links golf, the course is very challenging especially in the wind. The only criticism we had is that the round was very slow as we were following a visiting party with some beginners which made the back 9 a long slog. Overall a great golf course and one to definitely play if you are in the area.
