Buenavista Golf is situated in the extreme North-Western corner of Tenerife, close to the spectacular Teno mountain range. From the championship tee markers, Seve's creation measures 6,582 yards, but with the coastal location and proximity of the mountains, the coastal winds can play havoc with club selection and judging distance. Buenavista is also fortunate enough to have a dedicated golf school, which adheres to the principles that Seve engendered throughout his career. With that in mind, you might start missing some fairways, but your short game is sure to be sharp!
This amazing golfing destination is a must for anyone looking to explore Tenerife's rich and varied golfing landscape, and will be a highlight of your next golf holiday.

A very nice course with perhaps the most picturesque coastal views we’ve personally played. Overall condition of the course was tip top, if not for a few pitch marks not repaired on greens. Pace of play is very slow, we had 3 5-hour rounds where we are typically quite fast players, so perhaps this is just the way of holiday golf. However to be offered a ‘twilight’ time of 13:40 which we couldn’t actually finish due to lack of light and being constantly held up by slow play in front, the clubhouse was then also closed so we were unable to have a drink/some food afterwards. To travel 2000 miles and pay a lot of money to then not be able to complete the round and have a closed clubhouse was disappointing. There was also very minimal usage, or effectiveness, of marshals to speed slower players up, with them all seemingly having gone home for the day at the end of that later tee time, when the course desperately needed play to be sped up in order to finish before dark, but instead we were waiting 15 minutes minimum on each tee. Besides the pace of play and fading light, the rest of the course was brilliant, a lovely place to play golf. Just ensure you are aware it will be a slow round and you’d need to avoid afternoon tee times if possible. Maybe this is something YGT could disclose when booking with customers.

Brilliant destination although quite a ride from Adeje (circa 80 minutes) but the course was great visually. However, again the greens were subject to maintenance (June 2025) which ruined the putting experience on what would have been a fantastic course.

A typical Seve course. Great views over the coast and some really memorable holes. It’s a lot of fun but difficult. There are a couple really daunting tee shots and it’s easy to lose balls but that’s more than made up for by the fantastic 13th and 15th both of which run toward the sea and feature greens flanked by beautiful blue surf. I don’t think there’s bad hole on the course and the 18th which is a fairly short par 5 requires good strategy and steady nerves. I enjoyed the course enormously but be prepared for a five round, especially if the wind blows.

Best course I have stepped foot on. Views are to die for and the course itself is brillianty set up. Very good welcome in clubhouse and the food after was spot on. Yes the drive is crazy coming down the windy mountain side but worth the hour and 20mins from hotel. Would happily go back and play it again and again and again

Great layout with amazing views. I would say that the course is a similar style to Castle Stewart in Scotland. It’s difficult to get to from the south of Tenerife but well worth the journey.

Beautiful location with stunning views Transfer time disappointingly left us late for T time. Hour and twenty minutes transfer would not have been a problem had we been picked up early enough Fabulous course looking to play there again next year

Challenging but we really enjoyed it and by the end of the week had mastered most of the holes except the 18th! The greens were very undulating and fast but fun to try and read. Excellent transfer to and from the course from hotel.

They wanted a printed voucher from YGT, so all I had was the email confirmation and they were happy with that. Views were stunning and well worth the trip.

Buenavista is a very picturesque course with some lovely holes and sea views . The condition of the course was very good . Unless you are resident in the North of the Island the down side is that it takes a good one and a half hours to get there . We were likewise placed with another 2 ball who were pleasant and reasonable golfers. The round took 4 and a half hours which was acceptable. A very modern and functional clubhouse . I would definitely play there again and it’s good value for money .

Lots of blind shots which is not helped by limited signage. A long journey if you based in the South of the island of Tenerife

A stunning course in a fabulous location. Weather is chancy at this end of the island. Very inflexible approach to tee times and insisting on four ball flights even when the course is virtually empty. A Melia accountant is not allowing the front of house staff any flexibility. Spoilt the stay.

Fairly busy in the morning so pairs are joined up. Took over 4.5 hours most days. Great course, cleverly laid out but greens take some getting used to. Tough for higher handicaps and probably too short to trouble low handicaps. We loved it though and will be back I hope.

A really stunning course right on the West coast of Tenerife.Designed by Seve it has 3 par 3s, 3 par 4s and 3 par 5s on each 9 holes. The waves crash in on the cliffs next to the course and the vegetation is amazing. It is quite a tricky course...we played better when we paid for a buggy(41 euros & was worth it), bottles of water included. The Golf Club will store your clubs (no charge) and the minibus to take you back 300-400 metres back to the Hotel was very punctual. The food in the clubhouse is lovely and very good value. A Rosado was only 2 euros.
