Comfortable with polite staff

This is a lovely place to come and play Golf. The facilities are really nice as was the food. We found all the staff to be very friendly and accommodating too. Overall, I would recommend it and also stay again.

Hotel was lovely with a nice friendly atmosphere in the bar area. Evening meal was great and we had exceptional service from our waitress (Nicola) even though she was extremely busy due to a staff rota problem. The only gripe we had was in the clubhouse on arrival when it cost over £20 for 2 coffees and 2 sausage cobs. A bit extortionate!!!

Excellent facilities buffer dinner could have been better nice setup for the Ryder cup final day on the large screen. Good atmosphere with all the golfers.

Having stayed there previously it was a very nice hotel and enjoyable stay! Drinks were a bit pricey but we didn’t let that stop us from getting drinks! Food was fantastic as expected and a definite go back again!

A Wonderful Stay with Exceptional Service, Let Down Slightly by the Golf Course We recently stayed at Forest Pines Hotel & Spa in North Lincolnshire for a golf trip, and overall, it was a superb experience. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and welcoming, and the staff made our stay truly memorable. A special mention must go to Andrea and Kiera, who were both absolutely instrumental in ensuring everything went smoothly. Their professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail went above and beyond, and they made sure we were looked after from start to finish. Any issues we encountered were dealt with promptly — all faults reported were resolved on the same day, which was very impressive. We did have a small disappointment on the first night, as we were placed in a different dining area than expected. It wasn’t what we had been told in advance, but thanks to Andrea’s intervention, this was resolved for the second evening and the rest of our dining experience was excellent. The only real letdown was the golf course. While we understand the challenges of recent hot weather, the course was noticeably barren and sparse in several areas, which detracted from the overall experience. It lacked the lushness and maintenance we were hoping for. Additionally, we were spoken to about slow play, which we felt was unfair. The course was very busy at the time, with multiple small groups cutting in and disrupting the natural flow. This created delays that were beyond our control, so being addressed about pace of play felt a little misplaced. That said, customer service was outstanding, and the hotel facilities more than made up for the minor frustrations. With some attention to course conditions and marshalling, this could be a five-star destination all around. Would we return? Very likely — especially thanks to Andrea and Kiera, who truly made us feel valued and welcome.

Decent rooms only down side was no AC in our room. Others had it, so not sure why all don't?

Hotel was clean and tidy. Food was good. However, Service in the bars was poor. A very full hotel with one bar staff meant a queue of at least 15 people. This only changed when I complained at reception.

The accommodation was great, clean tidy just what you need. Swimming pool, sauna was great. Food we didn’t think there was much of a choice and was limited. Being on a golf trip we thought the sports bar close to early, this would have ideal for golfers to relax watching sports on the tv and not having to sit in the front area of the hotel.

Very clean and comfortable room. The hotel was great, looks amazing and the staff were great. Bar and restaurant were great,service was very friendly and the food was great.

Really enjoyable stay, staff were very friendly. The hotel was clean and easy to get around, the food was really nice and priced well for what was on offer. We used the spa both days after golf and midweek wasn't overcrowded. The rooms were OK but didn't have basics such as a fridge or coffee machine that you would expect.

Generally the facilities and the people were good. Given there are a lot of groups that play there, not being able to set up a ‘tab’ is incredibly frustrating and inconvenient.

The stay was enjoyable the only problem I had was the dinner menu my son and I had the ten ounce steak that was advertised on the menu with chips so why did I have to pay £8 pounds extra that’s false advertising

Been a while since Id played here. The courses are well designed, a good challenge and fun to play. The Hotel is comfortable, the staff superb, especially Alex serving in the restaurant, the food was good, everything worked well making this a very enjoyable stay. Superb value for money and highly recommended.

two very good adjoining rooms ground floor close to everything. Complaint made re four irish coffees that were cool and lacking alcohol was dealt with very well. Pleasant surprise of eight drinks vouchers for Sunday evening - excellent!

Hotel was good evening meal was nice and a decent selection facilities were also excellent as were the staff , our room was comfortable my wife and I used the spa facilitiez after our game of golf. Breakfast was a bit of a let down though (cold fried eggs) and generally very basic

For two golfers sharing the standard rooms were a little tight. We saw that there were other rooms with twin queen beds with a gap between but our rooms were single beds very close together.

Simply can not fault anything. Stunning venue

Excellent short golf trip. Golf course was fantastic but everywhere is suffering with lack of water so fairways were dry and the ball ran well! It was HOT and slightly uncomfortable in the bedroom at night as there was no air conditioning and the windows had restricted opening. The evening restaurant food was excellent and we were all impressed with the evening dinner and the evening dinner budget. Food at the golf club was mediocre.

Absolutely fabulous set up .. one of the best golfing breaks in UK

The accomdation was fine, the only gripe I had was prior to playing golf our luggage had to be stored in a room on the 1st floor. It would have made sense for a room to be allocated for our luggage on the ground floor are near to reception. The main courses on the 1st night were served over an hour after our starters were served, and only served when I had to ask when they were going to be served. On the second night the service improved. On the second night we popped out to Brigg. On our return to the hotel at approximately 11:20 hrs the bar was closed. I complained to the manager at reception as we had a large party of 20 people. The bar was re-opened but the attitude of the head barman, who was Asia, said that only bottles were available. After explaining to him that I served behind the bar in my local club and the nozzles for the draught lager would only take 2 seconds to refit. He then served draught lager. His attitude was very arrogant. The following day the same barman tutted when one of the party was paying with a card and, as we all know, they sometimes request the pin number for payment. I will be making all the golf societies aware of the issues that our group had at this venue.

Beds were a bit uncomfortable and the room was on the small side for two blokes. Most of the staff were great. Some were a bit formulaic on their responses as in perfect to everything. Clean lovely gardens.

I don’t want to criticise the staff as they were all great except for the man who greeted us at the clubhouse. He was lacking in empathy to my buggy drivers who he took great pleasure in telling them that buggies were banned. The most arrogant individual I have had to deal with and it tainted what was, overall a great stay. He needs sending on a customer relations course. Just awful

Had a wonderful 2 night stay. Great staff, very friendly. Food could be better, we had two evening meals both times 1 of 4 meals were cold and had to be returned, but was fully rectified.

Accommodation was absolutely fine. Rooms were nice. The food (evening meal)in the restaurant was dreadful. The worst we've ever had in 20 years of golf trips.

4 star hotel - no bottled water in the room, heating/aircon turned off, no bath robes, frayed towels, no face cloth. Shampoo and body wash (1 small bottle each) not replaced.

Rooms comfortable. Staff polite and helpful/ Buggies overpriced at £35 per round.

Overall experience was good however rooms are a little dated. No air con in the rooms, could do with some TLC, decorating and modernising. Rest of the hotel was fine, service at dinner very slow (we waited an hour for food). Staff friendly, breakfast good.

Unfortunately the bed was very hard and every time my wife moved so did I it was like sleeping on a jelly but hard we had dinner on the first night we chose the fish and chips the chips were great the fish was all batter and soggy fish what there was of it t the second night we chose the Caesar salad it came in a bowl that was very unstable the salad leaves were whole so they were very difficult to cut without the bowl moving the chicken we had with it was virtually impossible to cut up to eat I wasn’t the only one having problems with it on the plus side it was tasty so with that experience I’m afraid I wouldn’t stay again unless I had to because of the bed and food

Brilliant resort for a golf weekend 3 lovely loops of 9 holes. Courses were immaculate I would say a fair test of your game. Alot of nice staff well organized. Theres no having to wait for anything.

Staff were really good. Courses were in good condition. Food and drinks ridiculously expensive and the food certainly didn’t warrant the prices being charged. There were six of us and we stayed three nights Monday or Tuesday evening two of our ladies had undercooked, almost raw cauliflower Tika. Wednesdays meal was really not good. Katsu burger overcooked and sauce tasted like gravy powder, water and curry powder. Linguine with sun dried tomatoes was dry and the linguine was over cooked and stuck together. Oven chips and fish also dry and chips tasteless. Disappointing when other things were so good.

The staff at this hotel are the most attentive we have ever encountered . Made too few welcome at every turn. Asked twice to change our meal times and not a problem . Rooms clean. Pool sauna etc excellent

Restaurant needs to improve greatly Ordered food at 7pm and eventually ate at 9:30pm Staff are helpful but restricted in what they can do Golf was good but even though we had pre booked our tee off times and had confirmation by email there was confusion and were told tee times are allocated by the golf club and not a outside source Told we we’re teeing off at different times than our email had stated but then only to be told later that our times were correct Pre ordered a buggy and paid for it but was told that I owed for buggy even though email proved I had paid Club house said the company I had booked with should not have done this What a farce Never again

Its fast becoming a very dated golf resort. 3 days of golf that was over crowded when we played, resulting in us having to play 5.5 hours worth of golf. The hotel is exactly the same as when I went 5 years ago.

Have stayed here on many occasions and it still is a great venue, with fabulous facilities.

This was the 2nd time we have stayed and played golf. We were a party of 12. The rooms and facilities were very good. Good breakfast. Slight downside. Last year we had a better choice for our evening meal. This year was a smaller set menu with less choice with a set time. Still good value for money though. We would still consider coming back.

Friendly and welcoming reception staff. All rooms were spot on, clean and provided everything needed for a short stay. Bar and restaurants also great staff and good choice of menu.

Fabulous place. Rooms outstanding. Friendly and food excellent. May be better to have two menus; one that is within the stated golfers budgets and one that contains everything and allow golfers to select from either.

Great hotel in wonderful setting . Rooms are quiet and very comfortable although mine was some 209 yds from main reception and the bar. I’d had enough long walks on the course! Inclusive package menu was a bit restricted and it seems you can’t have three course without paying a supplement. Breakfast quality could have been better. Staffing doesn’t seem to be a problem and all we’re helpful and friendly

The only few things my husband found the bed too hard and the pillows too soft. We also couldn't reduce the heat in the bedroom despite trying. But other than that it was amazingly.

Unbelievable deal , food superb facilities everything was great

Very well appointed and comfortable rooms. Could have done with aircon as we were there for th e hottest days on record in the hottest part of the country! Nothing they could do about this of course. Friendly and helpful staff. Some of the lads used the pool and were impressed with it and the process of using it. Bars were pricey even with 10% reduction and the cost of 4 buckets of chips fpor us watching the Open after playing on the Sunday at £63 was ridiculous. Food was fine and filling with excellent breakfasts, outstanding in fact. The service was very good and outstanding at breakfast. Very happy overall. 'Chipgate' didn't spoil it. We would very much recommend it as a venue, it served our needs perfectly and enabled us to have an outstanding time despite the limitations the weather brought. I've canvassed opinion before writing this so this is a reflection of the general feeling. Very happy.

My single occupancy room was luxurious and the complementary treats left for me to make up for the extra cost was a lovely touch. The twin rooms that the rest of our party had were very roomy and extremely comfortable. The food was great, the staff friendly, efficient and helpful.

Excellent professional set up here from the golf staff to the hotel ... .really good food ,drinks a little expensive but to be expected in a hotel . Rooms good ,breakfast really good and the courses are real challenge and appealing to the eye . We will be returning in October.

The accommodation was very comfortable and I was almost sneaking a couple of pillows into my bag they where that comfy. The bar staff are friendly but a bit of commonsense could prevail, no need to show the same person serving me the 10% discount slip everytime I placed an order but I suppose he was only doing his job. Was a tad on the pricey side I felt as did others. We had dinner pre booked and I must say this was the biggest let down, it felt like we where an after thought, and that we had pre paid for dinner that it was OK not to put too much effort into it. The first night I had chicken terrine that looked like it had been cut using a meat slicer it was that thin, which of course meant it had dried out as it was clearly preped we in advance, without going through every dish all in all the food left a lot to be desired and in fact a number of us phoned in a takeaway later on. All in all Nice friendly staff, lovely rooms but food really needs to be better as it let the side down

This was the first time we had been away since the pandemic. We felt so comfortable and safe in the hotel.We have stayed at a few Hilton’s in the past but we would have to say we were even more impressed with this one.Everything was first class and we would recommend it to family and friends.The staff were so welcoming and treated us so well.The food was amazing too.

Beautiful spacious room and bathroom. Clean and elegantly decorated. Staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast buffet was excellent. The evening dinner menu was adequate, but not overwhelming, and dishes appeared to be pre-prepared rather than made to order, which made for good service but didn't feel great value for money.

At checking in, they did not ask us to preorder food which we apparently needed to do. As we found out later when we went to eat. Then the twin rooms only had one double bed in them. This got sorted out eventually, but some of the party ended up sleeping on Z beds with thin mattresses, which was not the best. The quality of the evening meal food was average at best (although breakfast was good). And although it was not the biggest inconvenience, there were signs and flyers everywhere telling you to ensure you had registered your car or you’d be fined if you parked there. But as the hotel is miles away from anywhere, who would park there unless you are at the hotel or golf course. So why the need to have messages everywhere threatening people with fines for parking and not registering. It’s not the most welcoming experience. I appreciate Covid is still causing hotels big issues, it was busy (possibly too busy for them to cope), and the golf was great, which was the most important part of it. However, we’ve visited Forest Pines 5 or 6 times now as it is such great value, but the general consensus was that we’d probably look somewhere else in the future as anything non-golf related is going downhill there.

Great golf break. Hotel side of the break was brilliant. Adam, and the other lads in pro shop were fantastic.

The hotel was ok, certainly adequate for a golf trip away. Staff in general were not the best, a little rude and abrupt at times, the food and service at dinner wasn’t good. That said, we were here for the golf not for the hotel experience, and on balance the staff on the bar on the Saturday night were good (if not a little overworked). The problem overall, was that the resort in general had bitten off more than they could chew. There were two large golf society groups booked in on the Saturday, the FA Cup final, a wedding, it was chaos for the staff who just didn’t have the numbers to cope. The overbooking of facilities became more apparent when on the Saturday at the starters hut, we were informed just how busy it was and that they would “try and get us on”. Not get us on early or late, but at all! Thankfully we were out on time, it may have been a comment made in the heat of the moment faced with more golfers and tee times than they should have had on the course. We were out early afternoon on the Sunday and decided to sit on the veranda an hour before our tea time, and with every table littered with plates, cups and glasses yet to be cleared from breakfast was another clear sign the staff were struggling to cope. For an established resort and golf in high season they should have the knowledge and experience to be able to staff appropriately. Prices at the bar were on the high side, we were charged £24 for 3 pints! Just be prepared that you are paying hotel bar prices and then some.

Excellent from start to finish

The staff could not have been freindlier. Always happy and keen to help throughout. Good, fresh breakfast and enjoyable dinner. Not so keen on the sandwich lunch in the golf area. Just a bit "carboardy". Could have been better. A bit of waiter confusion on the second evening meal. We seemed to be ignored for long periods but the restaurant manager sorted it out to our satisfaction. I would have given it 5 stars all round apart from this.

Excellent golf courses and great facilities. The room was clean comfortable and the evening meal was excellent. The Sunday Driver at Forest Pines represents brilliant value for money and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.

Very enjoyable

Enjoyed a lovely 3 day stay in mid April. The staff were welcoming and the rooms comfortable. The catering was a good standard for what we were charged.

Room quailty good food quaity good, but the staff were overrun with the numbers of guest. I have stayed hear before on masters Sunday and the sports bar was always open, this time it closed at 9PM. The hotel bar had 1 screen showing the golf for 200 guests, not good enough!

Hotel Perfect including Rooms and mess facilities

Our 2 night/ 3 day stay was OK The golf courses were fine The restaurant was a bit limiting with certain meals on the menu not available both nights. Breakfast was OK but by no means exciting. The cost of drinks in the bars was horrendous especially coffee at £3.95 a cup & half of Coke for £3 which miraculously was more than the lager!!!! According to the Golf Shop YGT had not agreed the correct first tee time with them that they had given us so we had to rearrange our first day tree time when we arrived. Their advice was to book direct with Forest Pines!!!!!

The accommadation was clean,tidy and everything you needed was provided. The evening meal was disappointing as the food provided was not up to the standard I would expect from a four star hotel. However, the breakfast next morning was excellent.

A bit disappointed that the golf bar shut a 5 pm Saturday and 4.30 pm Sunday we had no sooner come in from golf then we had to get all our trolleys and golf clubs and take them all the way down to hotel reception bar awaiting to be picked up hassle we did not need Everything else brilliant a great venue would not put me off returning

Hotel and staff were sound, no problems there. The food however wasn’t very good, we were a golfing party of 10 fellas, the portions were on the small side and the veg & potatoes we were served wouldn’t have been enough for my kids Guinea pigs!

Very pleasant stay. The hotel was very comfortable with great food and excellent service. Golf courses very good, and with 3 x 9 hole courses it ensures a smooth and timely round of golf.

Dining times scheduled where changed. It took over 30 mins to resolve and ended up eating in the bar.

Exceptionally staff and very friendly atmosphere. The hotel was very clean and covid safe with a very comfortable rooms and great overnight sleep. Great food in the restaurant and for breakfast, nothing was a problem to the staff. I will book this venue again as it was such a great experience.

Larger groups seemed to get preferential treatment and as a group of 4 we simply weren’t catered for. It was Ryder Cup weekend and the large groups have a private room with their own TV’s yet the rest of us had only 1 TV to watch as it was the only one to have Sky.

Had to reduce to seven people last minute, due to a Covid case. Asked hotel if we could have a meals/golf refund, told Yourgolf had only been billed for 7, as most hotel chains were refunding for Covid. Having already asked Yourgolf for a possible refund, and been told it was up to the hotel I am annoyed to learn Yourgolf has kept the £275 as profit, over and above their commission on the other 7. Might you wish to reconsider your position before I take this matter further with Abta and the newspapers?

Included meal was very poor but hotel allowed us to upgrade to ALC for no extra cost which was decent food but with a limited menu (due to Covid )

A fabulous course and a great hotel. BUT why oh why for a golf resort do they shut the clubhouse bar at 6pm. When golfers finish there round they want to sit, drink and eat and enjoy the clubhouse experience in a great bar area.

GOOD BUT - WE DID REQUEST CLEAN TOWELS - BUT THEY NEVER CAME

Accommodation was good and the staff all very helpful. The food was acceptable but on the first evening we were there some of the menu was not as we ordered and the quality very average. Although the breakfast options were very varied some items on the cooked breakfast very not well cooked mainly overdone. Refrigerators in hotel room is now the norm but this was not available sadly.

Like many hospitality businesses, staff shortages were limiting some aspects of service such as daytime food offerings. In all other respects the hotel accommodation was excellent and the catering very good in the circumstances.

Hotel very comfortable, very clean and decor modern and fresh. The hotel is short staffed as is the norm everywhere but the staff were brilliant, friendly helpful and hard working. The food was fabulous. The noise from the A15 was annoying for sleeping

Ran out of the 3 main beers baileys and some wines and even offered us one at it's lower price as a favor "what". Our room was small and cramped and not cleaned/refreshed on our stay. The staff tried their best but not enough of them or poorly organised. 30 minutes to get to the bar.

I have been going to FP for years and sad To say. It’s looking a little tardy in places like the sports bar. I was also annoyed at the e starter. On our 2nd day telling us not To play off the white tees as they are for members only. Despite the captain’s approval. Over all the. Purse. Is fantastic and the facilities great. There wasn’t a lot of bar staff and queuing was a problem for the restaurant bar. I would go again. Just a shame things like that can detract a visit and a positive experience.

A decent stay staff were excellent and rooms were lovely. The Spa was also very well maintained parking easy as well.

Great golf stay fo any party who wish drive and park up for two, three or four nights and not not move the car. The 3 x 9 holes work well. The hotel has good rooms, the staff are friendly/helpful and the food/drinks are good. The only negative side is the closure of the golf bar at 6.00pm. This should be still open for players coming off the course, it’s also a loss of income to the resort.

Hotel was clean and comfortable with good facilities. Whilst the staff were friendly there wasn’t really enough of them and were all very young so when things went wrong nobody seemed to be in charge to fix it. Whilst there were notices about staff shortages due to covid that feels an easy excuse. The spike bar shut at 5pm pushing everyone into the main bar. The main bar then had 2 staff on even at the busiest times so it took 20-30 mins every time to get a drink

I was very impressed with the rooms and the facilities on offer. The food with a big ‘meh’ but I can forgive that. Lovely course - lovely hotel - awful organisation though. One room missing off the booking as they hadn’t received the names and we had to have a 1 and a half hour break half way through our last round as they’d obviously over booked the course.

Absolutely perfect location and unbelievable value for money

Food good, staff very helpful, 20% off drinks was not expected but was a nice touch, also complimentary bottles of Budweiser/Coors Light in our room was also a nice surprise, a very enjoyable stay. Any issues were dealt with by staff in a very professional way.

Hotel was acceptable in every way. Accommodation is basic but acceptable for a short stay. Restaurant was of a good standard.

Service within the restaurant was extremely slow. On the Saturday we had to ask for our drinks twice and I am still waiting on the tap water. Prior to leaving on Monday we were on going to have a bite to eat in the bar but the staff walked passed us three times. The golf club bat had issues with the gas on Sunday as did the bar in the hotel on Saturday night.

A lovely hotel offering comfort and style, the young staff went out of their way to help, from those on reception to those serving the food at night, we couldn’t fault the place and it’s definitely on our radar to go back.

Restaurant was a little disorganised and didn't communicate well when there was a problem with serving drinks from the bar area. Vegetarian option wasn't great - it was slightly under cooked and dry when served, although the staff heated it further and added sauce when asked.

Restaurant was let down by terrible scrambled eggs on first morning and then refusing to do a fried egg on toast for the second morning . Sounds ridiculous I know .

A great venue. My only regret is that the golf bar stopped serving food at 4pm and closed completely at 7pm. For a group of lads who have just come off the course they are hungry and want to have a few beers. That time for golfers after a round in the bar is always a highlight that is interupted by having to get showered and changed for dinner.

Our visit was absolutely perfect from start to finish. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and the whole experience was excellent. We enjoyed the golf immensely, all three courses offering a challenge and variety. They were beautifully kept so all credit to the green keeping staff.

The leisure facilities and bar and restaurant areas are lovely. Nicely decorated, clean and welcoming. The staff were helpful and very friendly. Particularly attentive during our evening meal. The bedroom was ok. Clean but dark and tired looking. Possibly due a decorating update. There was no bottled water in the room and no water glasses.

Rooms were basic but adequate for a golf party - no room fridge as described. The three course meal was generally disappointing - mass produced to average standard and very slow. Bar staff managed as best they could with the COVID restrictions and all hotel staff were very keen and willing to help.

Accommodation was very comfortable, clean and smart. The staff on the most part were very helpful and attentive. The only downside was the food which was very poor indeed. "Dinner" looked to have been bought in and reheated. Breakfast was stone cold. Catering at the golf clubhouse was closed most of the time. Clearly the pandemic has caused real challenges for the hotel but I think they let themselves down badly on the food.

Fair to say the whole Group of us enjoyed our Hotel and Golf stay under the current Covid rules and guidelines.

Strange they don’t have enough staff and at dinner they ask you to go to bar yourself for drinks as they don’t have time to do this for you. Meal was stone cold but very tasty. Few sent back mains and did come back warmed up.. breakfast was steady as you would expect on mass.

On arrival all the group's luggage had to be stored in one of the groups room due to no storage available, group size 16 people. Not a good start. On leaving a store room was available behind the reception area.?? Staff very friendly however, a late bar was only available after the Manageress served us the required refreshments, the bar staff basically told us that the bar was closed. There were no facilities for storing golf equipment at the golf course, this had been available on previous visits, this meant everyone in the party had to trail golf clubs and trollies through the hotel. We were promised hot cookies on arrival, these never materialised. Nearly everyone in the group had issues, at some stage or other, with accessing their rooms due to issues with the key cards having to be reprogrammed. This occurred on several occasions. We have always previously enjoyed ourselves at this venue but it will take a great deal of persuasion and improvment before we return.

Hotel was in good condition all main areas were well presented and comfortable, rooms were comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was of good quality and staff friendly Evening meal food was good but could of been better service on Friday and Saturday was very poor but improved on Sunday after speaking to the Manager Kelly things improved and she bought everyone a drink as an apology for the poor service Drinks could be improved as they were not the best

Staff were very friendly & helpful, actually had a bit of character & charisma about them, made the stay much more pleasent. On a whole the hotel was in great nick.

The hotel has been upgraded by Hilton to a very high standard. One small comment, no air conditioning in bedrooms. Food and service was first class.

At face value this hotel screams quality but sadly falls way below on many fronts, we had room 11 and initially you think it’s great but then we found the following one spotlight is hanging by a thread, the shower head is broken the net curtain had probably been there since opening day as it’s black full of holes and ripped at the bottom a good night sleep not easy as the walls must be paper thin as you can hear every word spoken in the corridor even when people talking normally, turning to the restaurant on night one we were told we had no reservation and had to prove it, then payment was demanded we refused because on golf package reluctantly they agreed then the next morning we were asked name and room for breakfast which we gave and were told we had already had breakfast and could not enter again, after much discussion we finally got breakfast, on night two all was fine

Very helpful and friendly staff. Managed to accommodate our change of meal time request so we could watch the Champion's League Final.

What great rooms and lovely beds after walking the golf course, plus a lovely long hot shower. The staff were great and couldn't do enough for us. We will make this this trip again sooner rather than later.

Staff couldn't be more helpful when we arrived. The beaches course was going to be closed on the monday so they moved our courses around meaning we were able to play all 3 courses in our trip. Our good was great and We tried the Local beer. This was the first-time I had booked with golf travel. I will certainly use them again. Easiest golf break I have booked and played. Well done to all.

Our room was 2 double beds, (great when sharing with a golf buddy. Room very clean and comfortable. Big screen TV with Sports channel. Food very good. Package deal all in all = excellent.

Our party of 18 golfers was unanimous in voting the location as first class The courses were challenging but well presented and in excellent condition The accommodation was of a high standard and well maintained. Dining facilities and food quality couldn't be faulted and alterations are underway to provide more comfortable bar areas adjacent to the dining rooms. For the athletic there are excellent spa and exercise facilities readily available Highly recommended

We had a fantastic time at Forest Pines. The 3 9 hole courses were all superb so thank you so much for your high recommendation...did you order the great weather for us as well!? 

I can’t praise YGT enough for the excellent service and the golf break was great value for money too. Forest Pines has a superb hotel with five star facilities including the spa and the pool. The restaurants were nice with great food and friendly service too...the staff could not have been more helpful.

We can’t recommend this venue enough and shall definitely be going again. The trip scored a definite 10 out of 10 in all aspects, not only the golf course and hotel but great value for money and service from YGT.

The Hotel staff at Forest Pines are exceptional and did all they could to make our stay enjoyable. The breakfasts are very good and the dinners are tasty. Beer was reasonably priced too about about £3.75 per pint.

As for the golf courses, we found the Forest and Pines courses a bit similar in the challenges they set. You had to be fairly long and accurate off the tees and were still left with long irons in for the majority of holes. I’d recommend perhaps playing from more forward tees to maximise enjoyment.

The Beeches course offered more in the way of variety and although there were two very long par 4s, some of the holes were shorter and doglegged. We thought this was the most enjoyable of the three courses.

Overall we were very happy with our experience.

Our golf break to Forest Pines was brilliant. Members of staff are all extremely friendly and made our stay comfortable to say the least. The menu in the restaurant seemed to be a bit limited but the food was excellent; couldn’t fault it at all.

The golf courses were all beautiful (there are 3 nine hole loops) and the greens were very well kept indeed.

We found the hotel easily so no problems there and the rooms were large and very comfortable.

Overall I would book with your recommendations again and would certainly go back to Forest Pines in the future.

We had a great three days at Forest Pines, with good golf and a nice hotel. The bar prices were a bit over the top but apart from this everything was excellent.

What a great venue Forest Pines Hotel & Golf Resort is. Easy access from M180 and good signposting made our journey there a piece of cake. The Hotel has quality in every department. Food, rooms, staff...all very good.

The golf course was in excellent condition and was enjoyed by all different handicap players in our group (from 5 – 24). The 19th hole was welcoming and the beers were sold at reasonable prices.

The Overall verdict from all of the group was 10/10.

Let me start by saying a big thank you for arranging our trip to the Forest Pines Hotel and Golf Resort. It has been a pleasure to deal with your golf travel.

We were very surprised on how easy and quick we were able to arrive at the hotel, easy parking both at the hotel and the Golf club. The hotel is well signposted too and just of Junction 4 of the M180.

The course consists of 3 9hole courses: Forest (3291yds), Pines (3551yds) and Beeches (3102yds) and although the courses run parallel, they are entirely separated by stands of trees. The tee boxes and fairways were well cut and well looked after, the greens are excellent and undulating with many featuring at least two tiers.

We purchased a Strokesaver Course guide and it was invaluable in negotiating the course so I’d recommend doing the same for other first timers. The water features are intimidating but negotiable, bunkers and lateral water ditches are well marked, but as I found to my cost the deep pot bunkers are nasty!!

The hotel was what you would expect from a 5star establishment with reception courteous and friendly, superb food and an excellent overall presentation. Prices are what you should expected from this standard of hotel; expensive but not overly so.

The four of us were all agreed we would return without hesitation.

My wife and I enjoyed the hotel at Forest Pines. Great breakfasts! 

The three nine hole golf courses were in good condition and were really fun to play, although they can get a bit tight at times!

Golf Course – Very good condition, greens all very nice, lots of trees making many fairways tight, a difficult but great course.

Clubhouse/19th hole – About £4 per pint and food expensive too but a great balcony overlooking the course to enjoy a few drinks on.

Hotel – The hotel was very good, the rooms were clean and modern, the food was excellent and the staff were very friendly.

Location – Very easy to find and park.

Overall verdict - I would rate Forest Pines at 9/10, the best resort overall we have visited so far.

Have recently returned from a golf break at Forest Pines so thought I’d get in touch.

The course was in excellent condition with true greens which were running at a decent speed. The golf at Forest Pines is suitable for all levels. Although all three courses are heavily tree lined, you rarely seem to be hunting for golf balls!

Staff were friendly and accommodating at the hotel and the food also very good. 

All in all, this is a venue I would certainly recommend for visiting parties!

We had a really good break at Forest Pines and as usual, you guys at YGT didn’t let us down with your recommendation!

All 3 loops of 9 holes were of equally great condition and very well kept with fairways like carpets, even during the spell of hot weather of late. All of the greens run very true and smooth as well.

Forest Pines is certainly a good challenge and although you do need to be straight, there are certainly a few birdie chances; maybe even an eagles if you are ok with a fairway wood!

We all found the clubhouse very welcoming and spent quite a lot of time sitting on the balcony watching other golfers come down the stretch with a cold beer on the go, the prices for which were slightly high but not extortionate.

Food in the restaurant was of great quality – dined once in restaurant – and on our second night
we dined in the clubhouse area as this was great value for money.

All of the guestrooms were of good standard too and we used all the leisure areas as well to chill and unwind which was a bonus.

All members of staff were friendly and you could quickly build a good rapport with them which is important in such a setting.

I’ve already recommended Forest Pines to others and would give it a 9/10 overall...very
much one we would go back to.

A Good experience

Same review as for Beeches Forest.

Not the right time to play this course in Autumn as the leaves meant we lost a lot of balls. That is not the course fault but ours :) I can imagine in spring and summer this is a gorgeous place to play and we will come back then. Probably the hardest course I've ever played. Very narrow in places. But again in summer, because of the gaps between trees you would not lose so many balls and always be able to chip back out.

As per review on the previous days play. The course was very quiet and when we did come up behind a 4 ball in front, they were quick to wave us through. I think all 3 nines that we played would benefit from some additional signage to show which direction the next tee was, when leaving the green. It was confusing in places due to the close proximity of the holes on the other courses

Good course layout. Numerous trees offered protection for the course if you didn’t hit it straight and a number of interesting dog leg holes. Fairly quiet on the course so as a 2 ball we enjoyed the good pace of play. Fairways were a little muddy but considering the time of year it was to be expected. Greens were a very good surface, albeit a little slow for what we had been used to on our own course. Bunkers were poor, with little sign of raking from previous players. Unfortunately this is a common problem across the UK and other places we have played in Spain and Portugal this year.

Courses more local to us have a lot less money and seem to be better to play at. Probably during spring time is the best to play there

Course was really nice, condition not the best. Tough as greens were punched and sandy and fairways were really dry so you were sometimes punished for playing well. Almost like playing off the cart path on some holes. Just part of the dry weather so tough to manage but still could’ve been better

Round really slow, 5 & 1/2hrs. Tight tee shots aplenty. Fairways very dry as no irrigation obvious. Greens tricky. A really hard test for the amateur golfer.

Theses are the best courses in my opinion. Loved the difference layout from hole to hole.

The condition of the course was out of their hands, due to the dry weather we've had. Some patchy areas were very dry and grass less. But still very enjoyable, greens are brilliant.

A tough challenge for your game. You need to be accurate off the tees and for avarage hitters like me there are some long par 4's. Some really stunning holes on the way round. It didn't feel like 2 loops of 9 as the 1st on each start off near each other. Highly recommend a stay here.

The courses were all very tired, bare in areas and the greens were ridiculously bad, basically a joke! YGT should have known this and warned me. As the organiser, I have never been so embarrassed in my life!

The starter was just rude and insisted we tee off 20 minutes before our allotted tee time or he would call the next group up, everyone rushing with hardly any time to have a warm up. Course was as day before, greens been cored and not rolled, ball bouncing all over the green. We ended up playing putters length gimmes as they were so bad. Shame as a very good venue for a large party but spoilt with state of greens, would not recommend and won’t be returning as will the 15 others in my group

Course bare on a lot of the fairways and greens been cored but not rolled, worst i have had the misfortune to play.

For the first week in April the course was in excellent condition. Greens were fast and true. Course starter was very good at explaining to our group of 12 what to expect and where to go

Condition was great considering the amount of traffic going through it, fairways could have had more grass on a bit bare

The course was in terrible condition. We have played here a number of times and this is the worst it has been. The fairways had more mud than grass and if we hadn't agreed as a group to have placing placing it would have been nightmare. Tees were mainly of mats and the mats were that old they wouldn't take a tee.

Sunday was over 5 hours which is too long, Monday with less people was obviously quicker. Greens were good for the time of year, but dissapointed with the fairways lack of grass.

With 3 9 hole courses - you get variety over the 2 days. A lot trees, some water and some difficult traps and some great greens to test you

The Greens where poor due to being over played and you was teeing of on mats at various holes

The only negative was the greens where very poor and players should learn too Repair the divots when they land on the green

There was a club comp on before us. 40 mins to do 2 holes and ended up abandoning the round after 6 holes. A terrible way to end a great trip

Played 2 rounds in 2 days so we experienced the full 27 holes. Day 2 was slow as we were behind a party of over 20 but day 2 was quicker.

Far too slow as we were the only two ball amongst all 4 balls! Perhaps we shoukd have been advised of this when making the booking!

Fairways were quite difficult to play from very muddy in places greens good for time of year

Great test. Pines is the best nine out of the three. excellent set of holes. Really enjoyed playing this course.

Beeches is the weaker nine but still good to play. Really enjoyed Forest, Some excellent holes and the courses flow well. Autumn is difficult with falling leaves an issue but this cant be helped

Fairways not in good condition. Made worse by storm Ahleigh(?) on day 1 (torrential rain).

By far the best 9 out of 27, some tough holes and accuracy is paramount on this part of the course, in fact, accuracy is without doubt the key to opening up the whole complex 🥳

Some excellent holes and some slightly easier…just enough to keep you in touch with the other plans your game!

Far too slow due to close tee off times and some very poor golfers in front - 5 hours to play? rubbish

A corporate Sunday driver would expect to be slow but this, on both rounds was sloooow, too many sizeable groups with short gaps in tee times led to much waiting about throughout. Evidence of fusarium on the greens. Lack of tee based information for each hole frustrating.

Absolutely great round of golf, all individual holes, I will definitely come back here, dome tricky driving holes but forgiving

Booked for two rounds first round was a little slow, made the cold and wind even colder and windier, but course was in great condition. Second round was much played at a good pace and very much enjoyed

Course was in good condition considering the downpour of rain the night before , round was slow only due to the 3 ball in front of us (no reflection on the club) more challenging than Beeches/Forest but all 3 courses goid overall

The courses are quite tight but a really nice tree lined layout on all 3 nine hole courses, you can’t be too wayward from the tee which is why I’ve given it a Hard difficulty

The reason I rate the course hard is I would have used the tern difficult. Driving very straight was essential and if you are a slightly longer driver not able to shape the ball the trees and shape of the tree line means a straight drive can easily run into the tress. Golfers driving between 200&230 yards are fine.

Unfortunately The greens had recently been hollowTighted , nevertheless they were all consistent. But no complaints from the lads.

All 3 courses at forest pines are similar, very tight fairways.

Very tight fairways,so accuracy a must.

Even slower than the first day 3.5hrs to play 9 after which we walked off the course Greens were horrendously sandy slow and holey Starter/warden disnt want to help.. pretended he'd been out 3 times to hurry play along.. well we didnt see him once nor did the group infront of us nor behind Dont bother wasting your money coming to this venue

We played out of our skins which gives extra stars of course but it was a perfect end to our stay. We played Texas Scramble and together we shot level par including a birdie on Forest hole 9 to end. A great 30th Birthday experience for my son. I’m off 11 and he’s off 19 so we played so well. Scores were 78 76 and 71

Beeches felt the least well looked after of the three nines. A few tees need watering and similar for fairways. Was just so dry and dusty and a few bare lies compared with Forest and Pines. Still enjoyed though

Greens were pure. Sloping is tricky and some pins were double red light. The layout is great and the setting idyllic

Being the 2nd hardest course in England, we found it to be challenging

Although this is the hardest course any of us have ever played it was so enjoyable. Special thanks to the starters who must be sick of groups like us getting lost 😄👍

Very Good, all 3 Courses are a good test of golf and in good condition. Pace of Play on all 3 rounds was good. Friendly Staff & Golf Club Members. We will definitely Stay & Play here again.

The course was in excellent condition and was very picturesque It was perfect for our roughly 20 handicap group.

The Beeches is much shorter and had wider fairways making it much quicker and somewhat easier, however still really enjoyable.

Whilst I say it was average for difficulty it was harder than that but not difficult. As a low handicap golfer I thought it was just right.

As per the other courses worst place we’ve ever been never to return. 150 people in the clubhouse 2 members of staff no glasses outrageous service as said by a lot of people I’ve never met in my life

So slow and 5 hour rounds they let way to many golfers play nothing but greed course conditions were horrific most of it should have been GUR no grass and the greens were shocking bunkers just full of dust no sand

Unfortunately booking a golf break in April is always a lottery as your course can only be as good as the weather has allowed it to be. Following the wettest winter on record I’m afraid the course was poor due to the amount of traffic it gets.

All good. My elderly member who needed a buggy had gone home as he was unfit to play after walking the course yesterday

A very good course and it was extremely dry and got a good run. Absolutely no reason why they should ban buggies. My disabled members (one over80 years old ) were treated very disrespectfully

Howling gale and rain one day, brilliant sunshine the second. Oh so lovely in the early summer.

We played the 3 courses, very pretty but at a time when there has been months of rain the greens were awful. Forgiven as the green staff and starters were very friendly

The only reason not 5 star relates to the time and year and the rain we have had. Otherwise 5 star. The golf shop staff and starter excellent. Forest was slightly harder than the Beeches.

For the time of year the course was excellent, although some places muddy. It was a long slog as it was heavy underfoot. Although said hard for difficulty it is not as easy as that as we all found the Pines the most difficult with the Forest that bit easier. There are a lot of long par 4s.

Due to the heavy rain the night before the course was more difficult and it was heavy going, not the resorts fault just bad luck

Due to weather conditions on beeches was open which we played twice on day one. On day two the pines were not open so had to play the beeches and the forest.

Superb job from all involved at the golf course greens were brilliant for winter so true and in good condition

Greens had just been hollow tined and sanded. Some greens did not have the sand brushed in. Lots of bunkers on every hole, some with very little sand in and some with very deep sand in.

The greens were slow and difficult to read due to treatment which we weren't aware of before arrival.

We were supposed to play this on the Wednesday before leaving but we didn’t bother we didn’t fancy another long wait so we just had breakfast and packed up overall disappointing there were lots of societies playing this was the problem

Again we loved the course but play was too slow we ended up teaming up with another 2 ball to pass the time

All 3 9's are not for the faint-hearted, but are fair! Will certainly return I'm sure, as reasonably close, and good value for money!

Beeches looking a bit tired, the hotel needs to recruit more green staff. Otherwise managed to cover 18 holes despite the wet conditions, still enjoyed Forest

Only managed to cover Forest, 1st 9 holes because of the weather, but liked the course. The rain was too heavy for us to continue.

Played long as there had been lots of rain, long carries which were challenging. Overall very good.

Beeches is probably the slightly weaker of the three nines but still an enjoyable and testing course
