1 Night, 2 Rounds
Since opening in 1996, Forest Pines has earned a reputation as one of Lincolnshire's go-to golf resorts and it regularly pops up in UK and Ireland top-100 course lists. Set in peaceful woodland near Brigg, it feels nicely tucked away, but you're only a couple of minutes from Junction 4 of the M180 and around 30 minutes from Lincoln, so it's an easy win for a quick UK golf break.
The course was designed by former PGA Tour player John Morgan and it's built around three nine-hole loops, Forest, Pines and Beeches. That setup is ideal for a weekend away, especially if you like a bit of variety without driving anywhere between rounds.
Off the course, you've got 188 en-suite rooms, proper on-site dining and a leisure club that keeps non-golfers happy too, which is exactly what you want for mixed groups. If you're planning a society trip, Forest Pines is the sort of place that makes logistics simple. For those seeking a night on the darts, be sure to check out the interactive darts in the golf clubhouse.

Play Forest Pines on your next UK Golf Break and we'll help you line up tee times, rooms and dining that actually fit your group.
The hotel has 188 spacious en-suite rooms, which is a genuine perk when you've got a travel bag and a set of clubs to stash somewhere sensible. Décor is more classic hotel than boutique, but it's comfortable, practical and set up well for golf groups. Expect good-sized beds, decent storage and the usual essentials including WiFi and TV.
Room categories include standard twins and doubles, executive rooms with additional space and upgraded amenities, and suites for those wanting a more premium stay. All rooms are en-suite, and many overlook the golf course or surrounding woodland, particularly those on higher floors. If you can, ask for a room overlooking the course or woodland for the most peaceful feel.
The hotel's public areas are equally comfortable, with generous lounge spaces, a welcoming bar and plenty of seating for groups to gather before or after rounds. For golfers, the real appeal lies in the convenience. You can walk from your room to the first tee in minutes, the practice facilities are on-site and club storage is available.
The Reflections Health, Fitness and Spa centre is a significant draw, particularly for those who want to unwind post-round. The 18-metre heated pool, sauna, aroma steam room, ice shower and heated loungers are all included for hotel guests, while the spa offers a full menu of beauty treatments, facials and massages. The gymnasium is modern and well equipped, and the leisure club as a whole makes Forest Pines a strong choice for groups that include non-golfers or partners who want more than just the golf.
The newly refurbished Beech Tree Restaurant is the fine-dining choice, offering a seasonal menu in a smart, contemporary setting. It's the natural option for evening meals, particularly for groups celebrating a special occasion or simply wanting a more formal dinner. The Brasserie and Bar, by contrast, is relaxed and informal, serving lighter meals, snacks and drinks throughout the day. In summer, the outdoor seating area is a popular spot for a post-round pint or casual lunch. Both venues source ingredients locally where possible, and the kitchen is well versed in catering for larger golf groups, with set menus and flexible dining times available on request.
Forest Pines is just a quarter of a mile from Junction 4 of the M180, making it one of the most accessible golf resorts in the region. Leeds, Sheffield and York are all within an hour by car, and the location works well for groups travelling from across Yorkshire, the East Midlands and beyond.

Great hotel with great staff. Second time I have stayed for a golf trip. The standard of food is really good and all reasonably priced. Location is ok depending on what you want. If you are happy to stay at the hotel the entire time then it is great. If you are looking to head out to a night out, I would suggest this is probably not the place.

Overall we had a really good stay at Forest Pines for a golf weekend. The hotel itself was nice, the staff were friendly and helpful throughout, and the rooms were comfortable and well set up for two people sharing, especially the twin rooms. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice, and the bars and restaurant areas were all nice spaces to spend time in after golf. The evening food was probably the weakest part of the stay. There was a good selection available, so you couldn’t really fault the variety, but the quality felt more like mass catering than restaurant quality. Portions were also on the smaller side. It wasn’t bad by any means, just fairly average overall, probably around a 6/10. The spa facilities were nice as well. It was quite busy during our stay, with a rugby team taking up a lot of the space at times, but it was still enjoyable and a good addition to the weekend. Overall, the hotel offered relatively good value and provided everything we needed for a golf trip. Good rather than exceptional, but we enjoyed the stay and would return.

Club set up really gd..onlydownside is the small and short driving range with only 6 bays and irons only. Courses were all very gd. Beeches is the weakest of the 9 holes but a strong 3rd 9 versus other similar hotels with 27 or 36 holes. Forest is the best 9. Slightly more open and picturesque which made for a better course. Pines a close 2nd. Fairways nd greens were in great condition. Would return but especially if they made the 3 tweaks below that our group discussed. Our groups 3 suggestions would be: 1-The condition of the first rough cut wasnt great. The ball would often be on bare lies or have patchy grass behind the ball. A victim of the trees/shade and could do with some TLC to encourage the grass growth. Item 2 might help with light and grass growth. 2 - on both pines and beeches in particular the trees were very large and established and too close to the narrow faiways. Some selective tree removal would create an improved playing experience and better visual holes. Still narrow and challenging but like the forest course. cheap & would make a big improvement. 3 - the courses would all benefit from the introduction of black/tiger tees. These should replace the whites. The white should largely replace current yellows and yellows should move to a location infront of current yellows by between 20-50yrds. 3 reasons. Firstly and most importantly, it would make a better mix of 300-380yrd holes for casual yellow play. 2, the current yellows largely required 210yrs to carry the fairway bunkers. This would allow for irons/3wds to be played to carry. 3. Having blacks would create the feel of a championship course. This comment applies to all.

All the 9 hole courses I found to be in good condition. I found them challenging with bunker placements ready to catch you out. Bunkers are in need of some work, new sand or some really good raking over.

Again good condition, but bunkers need attention.
