For Gloria's Old Course, a local Turkish construction team worked in consultation with international experts to realise the design of French architect Michel Gayon. The result is a 6,759 yard gem, whose Bermuda fairways and greens, which surround some 7 lakes, have recently been reworked to improve their condition.

The New Course is characterised by the four large lakes that it encircles, and its testing tree-lined fairways. Completed in 2005, the course has done much to ease traffic on the Old, and is itself an excellent test of golf, stretching to 6,889 yards from the championship tees. Also designed by Frenchman Gayon, the New Course affords terrific views of the Taurus mountains, and adds another string to Gloria's bow.

The resort also has a great nine-hole course, called the Gloria Verde. Lying adjacent to the Old Course, the Gloria Verde has been built with two separate sets of tees for each green, to give the feel of a genuine 18-hole layout. The peace and quiet of the short course makes it great for beginners, or just if you fancy a relaxing stroll.

Hotel exceeded my expectations. Immaculately maintained and although full never seemed it. Plenty of sunbeds and food was sensational. Room was fine have dropped a star because the shower design had not taken into account not getting hair wet and shower cap provided was useless, the shower door also leaked badly. Would also like to see far less use of plastic water bottles. Spa treatments expensive.

2nd time at this hotel. Recently refurbished rooms which were nice. 3 A La Carte restaurants which they now charge 10 Euros pp, which is disappointing given it’s supposed to be All Inclusive! In addition we found only one/two restaurants were open at any time, the menu’s haven’t changed and because there’s a charge little/no atmosphere, feedback to management. Unfortunately, 90% of the people staying here were Russian, who took over the hotel and staff preferring to serve them despite being at the bar before them! Other than that weather fantastic, golf really good, entertainment was also pretty good.

Great golfing experience. One course was more playable but both great. Slight hiccup with first day tee times being different to stated on the itinary so best to double check before going to the course.
