The North Course, facing the mountains, you will be able to contemplate views of the Teide and an impressive ravine protected by nature while you play hole 3 and 4, your accuracy will help you to overcome the difficulty of these holes.
The Links course offers spectacular views to the ocean specially from the 5th tee located at the top of the mountain.
The amazing setting for Golf del Sur makes it a sure favourite with Tenerife's golfing visitors, and comes highly recommended for your next trip to the island.

Lovely course but major reconstruction work was going on to replace some of the tees which was a but messy with deviations and lorries to navigate. The practice range was also closed which was disappointing. However the staff were charming and professional which made up for the inconvenience.

Very poor condition under construction. Should not have enforced full green fee. Suggest they refund most of our green fee. Please don’t advise new golfers to play there.

Some major works being carried out, which assetically spoilt the back 9, otherwise made for a good game. It’s right under the airport flight path so very noises!

Very disappointed with the courses this year. We were NOT told by Your Golf Travel of the complete refurbishment of the Front 9 (North Course), it was terrible! We will not be visiting again and felt short changed, the course was almost in playable! Would like a refund? Thank you

This course was like a building site 9 holes are going through a major renovation and will probably be very good once finished but I was very disappointed that you are actually using this property most of the other golfers I spoke to this week said exactly the same

A little disappointing as we were put on 2 different 9’s. The first 9 holes was basically a building site with a vast amount of work being done on it. Lots of machinery at work on the course was not the sort of atmosphere we enjoyed. We were not made aware of this or we would have asked to of played a different 9. The other 9 holes we played were enjoyable and also the course was in better shape. Greens were a little beat up but overall ok.

It’s having a lot of work done and in a few years time it will score better than this week, greens have not the best, fairways and tees are good, under flight path for airport so can be noisy but the recent investment needs to kick in, front nine is a good layout tbh and is better condition than the back, I’d play there again tho, great service from the staff, food good

✓11 Mar 2025
Terrible greens on the front 9, slightly better on the back 9. Also, the club crams people onto the course so that our 13 players were paired up with strangers. The other courses allowed 13 players to go out as 3 x 3 ball and 1 x 4 ball without any issues. But this course insisted that we split up our group even though we had a competition taking place. Would not go back here again.

✓17 Feb 2025
Staff not particularly helpful on arrival. Little direction of where to go or what to do, in particular the way the course is played.... Waiting on the 1st for our tee time we were harangued by a marshall for not being on the 10th for our start tiem - players were waiting. Apparently they play 10-18, the 1-9. I explained that this was our first time here and no-one had mentioned this at any stage. A flustered start and a fluffed drive, not the most enjoyable start. The course itself is well established and makes great use of the landscape. Some construction work taking place on the Front (Back) nine. Fairways and greens in great condition and a challenge . some big carries and well placed water features. Lovely place to play.
Donald
✓13 Feb 2025
This was a harder course the greens very fast. It is the most aesthetically pleasing, however the greens obviously had some disease and were being treated, lots of bald patches. I would have been asking for a reduced fee. I thought the clubhouse does not take advantage of the views with no outside space to sit. There was one area at the side with no views over the course.

Golf Del Sur was a nice experience and decent value (we liked it better than Amarilla which is the other cheaper option on South of Island). The well maintained course has some really nice looking holes and is very undulating which makes it a nice challenge. The fairways are quite generous however, so its still somewhat forgiving for average golfers like our group. Many of the holes have elevated tees that offer splendid views of the sea or mountains depending on what way you are facing. The venue has 3 nines and we played North and Links and both were very nice. Forced to choose we would say Links had the slightly nicer holes and views. The starter on the North was a really lovely fella and made us feel very welcome (important for highish handicappers on taht first tee shot! Like Amarilla, the killer was the slow pace of play! Again we were aware of this when we booked, so I had pre-warned our group. Another 5.5 hour round. Again its 8m tee times so the course is rammed unless you are out first thing in the morning (and who wants to do that on a boozy golf trip! We tee'd off at 13.38).

✓3 Feb 2025
A lovely course with a very challenging back 9 especially when you factor in the back 9 links course. Again play was very slow. Unfortunately the first time we played the course on of our party fell down a pothole on the path spraining her ankle and stopped play after 9 holes. Thankfully she was in the club house when our transport arrived and told the driver that we were just about to come up the 18th hole so he waited for us. On our final day given the transport issues the day before we had to insist that the driver telephone the office to arrange for a 45 minute extension to the pick up time which thankfully they were able to accommodate as again we only finished with 15 minutes to spare. loved both courses but would ensure a minimum of 5 hours for a round due to slow play from others in front
David
✓28 Jan 2025
A very good golf course that provided a varied challenge, requiring all clubs in the bag. There are a long of undulating fairways requiring a number of blind approach shots making it a challenge. I would recommend a buggy as there are some long walks between holes. The practice facilities are good all round and the club house and shop are also very good.

There was a lot of work going on around the course which didn't really have any effect on the round but new tee boxes going in I'm sure it'll not take long until it's back to normal. It was very slow the front 9 with 2 par 5s in the first 3 holes meant we were catching up the players infront of us before they were able to tee off. Some fantastic holes that was also a great challenge

A lot of blind tee shots on this course again you need to use a stroke saver and plot your way around rather than trying to muscle all the holes, having said that there are a few holes on the course that the longer hitters will look forward to. A couple of the green had a few scars on them but we took relief and it didn’t spoil the experience. The higher handicappers in our groups struggled a little with this course especially on the newer llinks section. The buggies were reasonably priced and had gps fitted (€40) which I recommend as all these courses have some challenging terrain

✓10 Mar 2024
The course overlooks the sea and has some good views and attractive holes. But it is in a hilly location with fairways running along the contours which can result in balls rolling a long way downhill and often into rocks or dense vegetation. Many fairways and most greens have suffered from very extensive use. Many greens have scorched or worn areas. Because of the distances from some greens to the next tee, and because all golfers are sent out in groups of four players, the progress around the course is slow. I played there twice and kept pace with the group ahead at all times but it took 4 hours and 30 minutes to complete the rounds which is slow, even for holiday golf. If a taxi or transfer vehicle is pre-booked you should allow for at least 5 hours after your tee time to enable you play, return your buggy, have a wash, etc.
Leslie
✓8 Mar 2024
The only aspect marring the experience was the sense that there was construction occurring in several places on the course. It was very windy (not the fault of the course) but this did mar the golfing experience (the ball blown off tees and travelling unaided across the greens!)
David

The greens are rubbish with different grasses, damaged areas, pitch marks and even green sanded repairs. We played it back in June 2022 and they were poor then and we thought it was due to lack of money after Covid but it's got worse. They've spent money on new buggy paths and they've tided up the bar area since then, but if we go back to Tenerife we would not book this course again.

We enjoyed Golf del Sur. We went out early, with a delightful Swiss couple who lived in Tenerife for half the year and played the course regularly. We were around in just over 4 hours. The course has some great views, is well maintained and is mostly very playable, though the sandy base of the fairways reward good striking. We didn't see it at its windiest which made it a little easier than normal.

Gillian
✓31 Jan 2022
The difficulties here were for the first 7-8 holes you couldn’t actually see either the greens or in fact where the course was going ( blind tee shots). Also we decided not to play our bunker shots as there was no sand in the bunkers just grit - which was disappointing. Having said all of that, I would go back and play the course again as I would be more familiar with the route to the greens .

✓14 Nov 2021
As with Amarilla it was intolerably slow. Five hour rounds that took so long that it was dark when we got in and the clubhouse closed with everyone having cleared off ! At their signature hole , the 4th , we had 16 players at the hole. 3 groups physically on it and one waiting. When we played this course again 2 days later somehow 20 players were at the hole, 2 groups waiting and 3 on the hole. This has to be a global golf record! As this course is nearer the airport the low flying aircraft are even lower so it wasn’t even a peaceful walk spoiled , just a noisy one. On our second round because of our late tee off time (1.46) we reduced it to nine holes as it would have been physically impossible to play 18. The golf management to be fair advised us they told Your Golf Travel that we wouldn’t make 18 but apparently they’d been told to book us in anyway by YGT. Shame if this is true. The course gave us free trollies as “compensation”. It’s understood that golf on the Continent will always be slower but 5 hours is just plain unacceptable. So many other reviews echo this same view so I’m surprised that the tour agents and courses don’t do something about it. We just won’t return.

✓30 Jan 2020
Good course with fabulous views and a variety of holes. The black sand is grim, both to look at and try and get out of. My only real complaint was the amount of time it took to get around - 5 hours plus on both occasions - waiting on every shot the first time we played. This could have been avoided by allowing more time between tee times, rather than packing everyone in to achieve maximum fees - that's how it felt anyway and it was a pity because it was glorious to be out in fair weather in summer gear having left a wet and muddy course back in England.

Golf del Sur has three loops of 9 holes, labelled North, South and Links. The Links isn’t, it’s just the 9 hole loop that runs closest to the coast (but you’re still always at least a main road and a hotel away from the sea). We played South/Links once and North/Links twice. Of the three, the Links is probably the most straightforward, but all three loops are a good test, with blind shots aplenty, quick greens, wicked pin placements and penalties for wayward play (plentiful red staked off fairway waste areas/ravines and “bunkers” comprising large areas covered with an inch or so of black volcanic lava dust). A strongish breeze (20mph+ according to the weather forecast) on two days, predominantly across holes, made for a real challenge. Staff were friendly and efficient.

We hated the bunkers which don't have sand in them, but volcanic ash. They do not do sand irons any favours ! Too many blind holes as well. We wouldn't play there again.

North course is definitely the poor relation in terms of setting and presentation the other two nine holers are interesting and more enjoyable

This course is really enjoyable, doglegs, some water, ravines and windy conditions made us really think about our shots. Very enjoyable and good driving range, and good facilities for food and pro shop, great choice of equipment.

All good we did a little negotiating on buggies and got the price down for 6 buggies down from 35 to 25 euros.

Good course with some challenging holes. Great views of the ocean on some holes. Golf carts were very slow & had no GPS built in
