The condition of the course was not as good as Le Forest. There were lots of blind shots. In both courses we thought the sat nav info on the buggies was brilliant. Very useful.

It was a very enjoyable day for all of us, though the greens were very different from what we experience at home. They were mainly much slower.

Course was immaculate, considering maintenance 2 weeks ago, hardly noticeable. Caught out by storm Amy so was very windy but only rained on 1 hole for 15 minutes. Greens were fast and hard to read but our party loved it.

Played in 100km per hour winds. Very difficult as you can imagine. The golf course was fantastic and will definitely return again. Overall very impressed with upgrade since last played in the 1990’s.

Significantly let down by YGT - no buggies reserved therefore had to wait over an hour later than our tee time for buggies to become available resulting in the round finishing in the dark and the club house shut when we got back - shocking service

This is a tough course even off the yellow tees. It was in good condition and not burnt up following our hot summer. It’s a joy to play and tough to score on.

Very tough course, but absolutely loved it! clearly get the Harry colt vibes from this course, with was really fun. We happened to play when there was a competition on, so the pin positions were very tricky. Greens were rapid, so approach play was vital in order to score well. Despite the challenge, really really enjoyed the course, up there as one of the best in continental Europe.

My favourite course of the trip. Flat compared to Les Pins and Les Dunes but the overall preparation of the course, particularly the greens was first rate.

A more challenging course than day one, much more dunesy than Les Dunes, longer than day one but again a very fair layout.

No toilets on the course! Getting round 18 holes without a comfort break was too much! Unfortunately we got stuck behind a 4-ball who were slow. Again, the details for our booking were wrong as they only had 7 of us booked in and we were 8 but they were able to amend this without any issues.

As the name suggests there are a lot of trees on the course but we're quite used to that on our home course so I didn't cause us too many problems.

Tough course. Scrubby. Marshall did not speed up the 4 ball in front of us, as promised. So it was 5 and a half hour round

Had to pay for buggies even when we showed them the email which said they were included. YGT quick to respond to this and hopefully we will be reimbursed. Course in good condition but bunkers a bit scruffy. V nice clubhouse and staff went out of their way to find an additional table for us all to eat together. Food average but overall experience was great. Most golf watches don’t work as there seems to be some sort of interference, so handy that buggies have satnav.

We all struggled on this course. Quite narrow in places and foliage sand just off the fairways. Had very slow groups in front of us.

We played in glorious 30 degree sunshine, but the very dry course conditions, and limited grass cover on some fairways made this a hard challenge. Incredible panoramic tees all the way round but in dry bouncy conditions not one for the faint hearted. I'd play it again in a shot but some of my playing partners found it too punishing for wayward tee shots.

Some of pin placements were very tough.

Played it the day after a 3 day pro am tournament, Unfortunately they left it as it was with almost impossible pin positions for a standard level of golfer, still going back though.

Better than I remember but while it appears easier it will catch you out if your concentration drops.

Not bad for the lesser of the two courses. Quite forgettable but in decent condition so enjoyable enough and a decent test of golf

Very very slow (5h50) as we were behind the pro am who were incredibly slow however the course was absolutely brilliant and in great condition so still a very enjoyable round- will be back

Great course one of our faviroutes

My favourite of the three courses we played. Great elevated tees onto fairly generous fairways. The greens were in good shape and challenging.

Pro's shop staff were great and bar/restaurant facilities excellent. The course was pleasant and interesting and in overall good shape for this time of year.

In March a lot of tee boxes were moved miles forward so course only played 5100 yards. Took away from an otherwise nice course.

Excellent but very hard course. Only criticism was the pace of play was very slow.

Not quite the statement course of its neighbour Le Mer,but some very attractive tree lined holes and very playable for mid handicappers

Mix of sand dunes and pines. Has the feel of a classic English heathland course in parts . No real sense of the sea being close by. Would like to play it in Summer for full effect.

The course was simply superb, facilities Execellent and the course was long, and the greens in superb condition. Nice and wide fairways, bunkers were fair but punishing.

A great golf venue. Very natural setting peacefully and scenic. A good golf challenge with some tough holes but very a fabulous golf challenge. We really enjoyed our round.

Exceptional course, would love to visit again

First time I've played La Foret, although the course is not the most difficult it remains a challenge. I thought the greens were in excellent condition on the day especially as the weather had not been particularly good prior to our visit.

The weather was ok so we enjoyed the round. Very busy so quite slow. The greens were very rutted however and not good. Needs better maintenance.A lot of thye second cut rough hadn't seen a mower in two weeks clearly and there was some work being done and excavators and a lorry ...which just went through us without waiting. Noisy and impatient, no real car for the golfers who had paid to play golf not stand, wait and listen to noisy lorries disrupting the round.

The course was in good condition but much of the back 9 appears a bit scrappy. Greens were good but not as quick as Hardelot

Great course but greens had been worked on so very difficult to judge puts on some of them. No facilities even though this is meant to be a championship course. Weather didn’t help as it was gale force winds and rain. I imagine in calm sunshine it would be a joy to play though.

Nice course to play. For my level of golf, a bit of a struggle at times but that was my problem!! Greens were good and certainly testing.

We had a really good time. Excellent staff very friendly and helpful. All conditions really good. If you want a couple of days away this is perfect.

Incredible course, can’t recommend it enough. A true links course in a beautiful part of France. Greens were fast and pure, course design was amazing, every little detail was well thought out. I would travel back to France to play this course in a heartbeat. Again, clubhouse and staff were great.

Great golf course, we were lucky that the wind did not blow, otherwise it would have become difficult and not average. Great undulating greens. Probably only down side is that you have to go to Le Foret to check in and get a drink.

We absolutely loved this course and would play it every day if we could.

We love it here, but out of all the courses this was our least favourite, but would not stop us playing it!

Fabulous course in great condition. It's got a good mix of challenging holes, but some of the tee shots will keep you honest. The course was busy on both days, but the pace of play was perfectly fine. This is a 3ball and 4ball course. You will be held up as a 2ball when the course is busy.

Very nice course in very nice condition. No repeating holes and a variety of challenges. We would play here again. The clubhouse closes for food at 4pm, which is odd. Overall it's a very smart place. Again, another well kept, well maintained, challenging course. So different from Le Mer with so many trees,,!! On a separate note, Le Touquet Golf Club is friendly and welcoming and very well managed, so a big thank you to them also for helping to make our weekend totally enjoyable.

Course layout is good, long walk, no buggies available. Course is scruffy in places, lots of work required. Feels like too many players going through the course. 15th hole - half fairway closed, play off mats, no info before arriving.....

Tough course, ongoing work on course somewhat spoilt the overall experience. Still loved playing it.

Like most courses this year, has suffered with the wet weather.

Quality course only problem par 5 15th was split into 2 par 3’s as having work done on fairway.

Always a difficult course for amateurs. The back nine is not great with two oar 3’s replacing a par 5 (19 holes) while work is in progress on the course. Wouldn’t have played if were told.

All of us agreed the course was great … facilitated a later tee time due to us missing the train. The course felt less busy than your normal Spain or Portugal standard of course.

Great test of golf, fantastic greens!! Par 5 15th being renovated so they split it into two Par 3s so playing 19 holes - not a bad idea! Weather was wet but it didnt spoil our round. Fantastic bar area with outstanding staff and service, great food!!

Really well prepared course given how early in the year it was. Greens were excellent and a good variety of holes. Not too long which is a nice start to the break, and very smart clubhouse, bar and eating area.

La Mer is a tough but fantastic course and didn’t disappoint, it remains my favourite course in the area. Similarly the club house facilities are top class.

Lovely course, our only problem was our distance measuring devices got very confused with which course we were on as they all seem to intermingle! Club house beautiful, great beer and pro shop very good! Didn’t eat there but seemed good!

Not told that it was a 20 minute walk to Tee 1 so were late ... no buggy when we ordered one and 4 of our group never got to finish their round as it was so backed up.

What a course that is, this is a proper championship course. Every hole was a picture and greens nice and fast and very undulating. Be prepared to 3 putt on most holes. We all agreed we thought it was a cracker of a course.

Great course however they have struggled with the amount of rain they have had. No buggies were allowed, which was fair enough. We bought electric trolleys which were allowed in places it was water logged and very muddy, but all the greens were fantastic. We decided to lift clean and place even if we wasn't on the fairway.

We came of after 12 holes due to rain. Overall flat and u interesting Prepaid for buggies but not available. Staff tho apologetic and gave some refund.

Lot of work being carried out on course, with some holes closed and temporary holes replacing them. Will be a stunning course when completed but at present it is difficult to enjoy.

Thanks to the storm we had to switch courses to Le Mer -and the weather got in our way badly on the 9th - so we played one more and called it a day (at least that gave me my birdie of the day).

Tough links style course in excellent condition. Long walk from clubhouse to first tee, so with hindsight should have booked buggies in advance.

La Mer is now a much improved Golf Course and a joy to play.

Totally different to la foret, la mer is a brilliant looking links course, fantastic views can’t wait to come back, not many facilities on the course but the main club house is a 3 minute drive

Considering we went in early October and the course had been busy all season it was in amazing condition, a few of the tee boxes could have been better but overall an amazing place to play

We lover every minute of this course. Helped to have perfect weather. Big test off the tee’s & greens are tough. But brilliant challenge.

Excellent facility with a number of courses so seemed quite busy at the club house. The golf was good in terms of the course some of the fairways were a little patchy but not enough to cause any issues on the ones I hit.

La Foret was an enjoyable experience and certainly an easier course than La Mer. There is a lot of work going into the greens and I suspect they will be really good in a couple of weeks. The par 3’s were long and tricky and the par 5 16th an outstanding hole. The first couple of holes were a little dull, but the course improved into the round. My wife, who plays off 14, really enjoyed the course.

La Mer is a great golf course and gets more difficult the stronger the wind! The greens were fabulous and the fairways in great condition. The 16th and 17th have unfortunately had to be altered due to conservation and in my opinion made the holes poorer. The course is marshalled and a quick word enabled us to play through a slow group holding the course up. The staff in the shop and behind the bar were welcoming.

We are inexperienced golfers and so found the long par 5's very challenging, but we really liked the course overall.

The driving rain an gale force winds meant we had to stop after 9 holes. I'm sorry we couldn't complete the course but the weather was awful.

Great new clubhouse and the facilities are excellent. Unfortunately it looks was though they have lost the grass generally on the greens and surrounds to greens, with many shots played off dirt rather than grass. Many of the greens were in seriously poor condition.

Not played this course for 15 years, and the course has been changed with hundreds of trees removed but the venue looks tired and lacking investment and maintenance. Fairways and tees were poor.

Wasn't impressed at all to be honest pulled up clubhouse etc looks great bit board for tee off very professional looking outdoor decking area was nice but once on the course went the other way, don't get me wrong I enjoyed the day but the course condition was appalling at times Greens more like browns. Iv see UK pitch and putt with better greens I will return but only for la mer

Complete contrast to other Le Touquet course. Great condition, windy- a real fun challenge. Just a shame we were booked straight after a club 4 ball comp so 5 1/2 hours. That aside, loved it

Absolute disgrace of a course. Awful condition. Greenstaff putting sprinklers on greens mid round and creating “temporary greens” read sticking a flag on the fairway with no attempt to cut a green Fairways terrible, greens worse Avoid

Totally disappointed with this course !! Tee boxes were in poor condition, the greens were extremely bad and in some places void of any grass (I have photos to prove this). Holes 12 and 13 were on temporary greens, which were just holes cut in the rough a long way short of the original greens. The greenkeepers were completely redressing the proper greens. The original course has been altered so much, it now incorporates part of the 9 hole Le Manoir, which I feel has messed up both courses. The course did not flow well as the tee boxes were all over the place, especially the really long walk between the 17th and 18th, having to pass 3 other tee boxes. I have played both of these course many times before in the original layout and really enjoyed them both, it makes no sense to me to make these alterations !! I will unfortunately not be returning to these courses. I would like someone to contact me so I can discuss this review in person.

The Best course that we played. A good challenge!

Always enjoy playing this track, we come over every year and it is always a great test of golf.Found the course this year and especially the greens to be in really good condition.

Its a tough course off the back but playable and a great test. My son (off 1) should have been under par but for a double on 17 - interesting holes, strategic and well worth it.

What a joy to play. Every hole is unique and memorable, greens were a decent pace, ran true and speed of play perfect (3hrs5min for 2 ball). Wish I had played this 3 times and not Les Pins and La Foret. Starter good as let us tee off 30 mins early to avoid the 4 ball rush.

Greens slow and bumpy.Tee to green course was OK.Started very slow then marshall speeded things up on the 7th. Range excellent and club house very good.

16th and 17th being re-laid. Many interesting holes. Unfortunately they don’t check handicaps and there were some non-golfers playing

When we arrived, our 2 buggies had not been reserved and we had to pay for them, but I had already paid Your Golf, so very disappointing, i spoke to the management at La Mer to confirm they had not had notification and they were insistent that we had no buggy reservation. Plus we had to pay for them again !!

Greens and fairways are over played. Found our Garmin watches didn't work after the 2nd hole, due to the proximity of the Manor course.

Just wonderful, best I have ever seen it.

As the other one. Need to water the fairways to encourage growth. At 6200 yards from the yellows both courses are long.

Good course, one of our favourites, lot's of changes to back nine in process. We liked it as it was. Pleased when it is finished.

We had reserved buggies via YGT 9 months prior but despite this, the course did not have any for us when we arrived. YGT really need to get on top of this as it ruined our day.

currently still a lot of remodelling work going on around the 14th to 16th Holes otherwise would give it 5 stars but a very good course.

Nice course

Course fairly challenging and in good condition. Being used for pro-am competition on the day following our round and despite being very busy round flowed well with minimal hold up. Starter at course very welcoming and friendly.

Wide fairways and a fairly easy start that draws you into a good test. The back 9 gets longer with almost every hole requiring your Sunday best to allow a shot to the green. Quite a walk from the club house to the first tee (15 minutes). There is a car park next to the first tee of La Mer and I would suggest driving to there and parking. Have mage some changes to the last few holes so gos and stroke savers don’t reflect accurate yardages so be warned. A good test with some lovely holes and wide fairways. Challenging fast greens that reward a good approach.

Early season round Course not in its best condition and holding some surface water Short 5 minute drive from Le Touquet centre.

Got a shock as went straight to the course and found an unattended wooden hut! Fortunately a golfer turned up and pointed us to the Golf complex down the road where we were greeted warmly.

Brilliant time had by all 20 people in my party

The layout of the Course has been altered and you seem to walk a lot between the tee now and the condition of the course was not particularly great but some great holes

A little disapointed that ygt did not inform us that the new 16th hole was not yet in play so this resulted in there being three temp greens on the day we played. on previous trips ygt have advised us of course works and have given us a choice to change courses Le Mer is still a great cousre and a favourite of ours to play but we should have been informed

It's an absolute treat to play this course. It has a grand feel about it and presents all of the challenges you would hope for in links golf. The greens ran true and were in good condition for the time of the year. As were the tee boxes and fairways. It was fairly quiet on the course so we could go at our own pace. The only downside was the reconstruction they were doing on the back nine. They had effectively closed down the 16th par 3 hole to rebuild it away from some properties on the boundary of the course. This meant they had split the par 5 15th into a makeshift par 4 with temporary green and a makeshift par 3 with temporary tee box. It is a shame not to get the full experience - although we could see the 16th par 3 as it is going to be and it will be a great hole. The back nine generally needs to grow back and shows signs of massive reconstruction so you miss the beauty of the earlier part of the round. Obviously, it will be for the better in the long run - but we only found out about it on the day. It would have been great to get a heads up or to have some kind of compensation for the round.

The highlight of the trip. An amazing course seeped in history. The holes were interesting fun and challenging. Bunkers were in great condition and groundsmen busy keeping the course in top condition. there are some course renovations taking place which affected three holes but the brilliance of the other ones made this insignificant. It will be magnificent when completed. It was a special and brilliant day.

Never been a big fan of this course but for some reason this time it just clicked and really enjoyed it -the fairways and greens are in great shape.

The course was in great condition. Fairways were lush and well covered, the greens were rolling quick and true and the general aesthetic and attention to detail was spot on. The clubhouse is the best around, such a fantastic facility and a great place to enjoy a post round drink surrounded by all the Le Touquet golfing memorabilia.

Slow round but didn’t mind as loved it. Real links feel and some elevated tee shots and wide fairways helped. Great course. Will return

Greens good. Nice course but some of the fairways were bare in places - presumably due to extreme heat of a couple of months ago. Have played before and will play again. Love the clubhouse

Excellent facilities as usual with the new clubhouse. The course was in good condition, but the greens had had maintenance and therefore were more difficult to adjust to. The fairways were generally good.

Another good holiday course

Slightly underwhelming. Obviously the drought summer has taken it’s toll on this course (as it has most), so fairways were very patchy. Greens were very challenging but not in great condition either. No real signature holes - a lot were very smart. Play was extremely slow - took 5 hours, but signage suggested this was normal! We tee’d off at 15.20 and had to play the last 2 holes in near darkness. Suggest they space out tee times more rather than packing the course. Buggies were expensive (EUR 45 for 18 holes). Club house facilities were very good.

The course was in very poor condition and needs investment. Bunkers and fairways not good enough.

Played here 6 years ago. The order of the holes has changed (update your GPS!) and overall we thought that this was an improvement.

Great varied course with excellent greens - very enjoyable and perfect for all levels. Stunning views on some of the holes. You can see almost every shot in front of you which is a great feature if playing for the first time

Testing course. Really enjoyed the challenge.

Like Hardelot, they have changed round a few holes and taken two off La Manior 9 holes and put those on La Foret. In the main its fine, but the 18th now is not as good a finish....17, 16, and 15 though do lend themselves to a good finish, and the 18th is now right outside the FANTASTIC new clubhouse so i can see why its been done. Again....very pleased to be back.

Sadly because of problems on the M20 and at EUROTUNNEL (nothing to do with the French border so dont beleive if thats what you hear), we missed our T time here. We did go and look at the course and the changes they have made look amazing. Taken a lot of trees and shub out....it looks a GREAT test. We did play the 9 hole Le Manoir instead.....my tip....when you travel out, dont play 18 just do the 9...or dont play at all and just practice and have a nice meal when you get there...then play the next day onwards. It was much easier going back so playing and travelling was fine.

Quite an easy course after playing les pins and la mer on the previous days.

Outstanding course and well worth the experience. Would definitely recommend buggies on here and there is a long way between some greens and the next tee and far from flat. Spectacular views from the last tee.

Lovely course, very challenging for average golfer

We should have been warned we need a buggy for this course , too many long walks Green to tee in heat which made it difficult . A buggy might have made a difference .

This is a super course. It has a natural look around the fairways and adjoining land, but the fairways and greens are good and the design is outstanding . A must play course if you enjoy links golf.

A little shorter than La Mer but equally as nice.

About half a mile from clubhouse to 1st tee and would be better with small cafe, toilets etc near the tee. Heathland rather than links but very enjoyable and 7000yds off white tees so challenging

Love playing La Mer its always a real challenge and plays long and tough. The course was in really good condition and the greens ran true to a good speed. Our only gripe was the pace of play it took over 5 hours to play the round. Some of the societies in front of us really struggled I would suggest anyone over 18 handicap even off the yellow tees would find this course extremely difficult.

We were paired with two very nice chaps from London and enjoyed the round. The course was stunning with magnificent views, particularly from the Panoramique platform.

Hassled on first nine holes by couple in a buggy who kept hitting while we were in range although it was obvious there were people in front of us. The round became more pleasant when we were invited by a German couple to join them as they were waiting on every shot.

This was the highlight of our tour. New clubhouse with an excellent pro shop plus large louge area and restaurant and large outside veranda area made this my personal favourite. We played the La Mer course which was, as always, a challenge with a bit of wind blowing. The starter on the first tee is always a nice touch. Highly recommended.

We were booked on Le Foret but switched to La Mer because of a competition, but luckily we had buggies and were able to get to the other course half a mile away without any trouble. Nice course but needs work on the bunkers and greens just to raise the level. Overall a pleasant day blessed with good weather.

Compliments Le Mer perfectly as slightly less challenging. Course was in great condition and had some really nice holes particularly the final stretch of the back 9

It was a good course as it was now dry from thé previous days rain so everything ran well on the fairways ,the greens were in good condition too .

The course was good except for the monsoon rain that we had 5 hours before the game so unfortunately the course fairways were flooded in quite a few areas and the ground then was very soggy. Overall though it was an interesting course .

Excellent links/dunes style course. Personally I preferred Les Pins, but the other 3 preferred La Mer. Completely different style of course, so a good one to balance out with Les pins. Weather was perfect for it (which I think biased the other guy’s ratings over Les pins). Superb club house. In the summer it would be great to sit on patio over looking le foret course. Be aware - La Mer course is a drive (or buggy trip) from the club house/pro shop. We carried our bags across from the hotel, and then had to carry back and reload to drive round to the first tee. There’s no shop or anything at the first tee of La Mer.. a little strange.

Course has been changed around since the new clubhouse has been built,the distance between green and tee is now considerable and buggies are required. parts of the Manoir course have been incorporated in the Foret course with in my view a detrimental effect

The course has been restored to it's previous excellent standard and is always enjoyable to play. Could do with a halfway house/toilet on the course as it is a little way from the superb clubhouse.

Using to many temp greens so not value for money - disappointed as have played course numerous times b 4 Would if been nice to have been advised of some many Temp greens so could of relocated and played elsewhere , no buggies allowed or electric trolleys yet course was totally fine 😩

Good to be back on le foret - and the course was in fantastic condition. To be honest i preferred the old styler bar/restaurant ,but i admit the new building is an improvement.

Well greens were large and some really tricky slopes. Three puts on the 11th is a good result.

Wow wow wow don’t need to say anymore blows belle dunne out of the sky different class but bloody hard, wind was blowing a gale and if your off your game it can be a struggle but if you like this place you might as well put your away and take up darts.

Pin positions on La Mer were unreasonable

Best course of the three we played some very tricky greens some long drives required just to reach the fairways. Stunning views would highly recommend. Only minus was buggy’s all pre booked but a long enjoyable walk

A really enjoyable round. This course is so naturally beautiful and classic links. This is a real raw test of golf and with the wind up is a real tough test, but thoroughly enjoyable.

Not quite what I expected. Very easy course, holes are not exciting (no water at all, fairway bunkers not really in play). Still a great day and great condition.

Enjoyed La Mer which we played twice. Will definitely go back. I am arranging a seniors tour for approximately 20 men next June and thinking seriously about returning to Le Touquet. I will speak to you shortly.
