Golf can be played at Le Chateau and La Reserve courses, the designers have created layouts that match the spectacular local landscape. Wound around the imposing Chateau De Bel Ombre and its exotic gardens, the Heritage Golf Club is among the south coast's most beautiful, affording views not only of the sea, but also the Black River Gorges nature reserve, which borders many of the holes.
The accommodation is comprised of 154 deluxe double rooms, 5 suites and 1 private villa, all of which open onto a private balcony or terrace, and are complete with air-conditioning, telephone, satellite television, mini-bar and an electronic safe. Stepping out into the resort's public areas, guests will be greeted not only by the warm welcome of the staff, but also the coco palm trees.

The resort has 3 swimming pools, 2 tennis courts and a beach volleyball court, while the coastal water are great for kayaking, waterskiing, snorkeling and sailing. From check in to check out, the staff at the Awali were exceptional. Restaurants were great and the quality of food in all of them was superb. Our room had a sea view which was cleaned daily. There were too many little touches to mention. Great also to be able to use some of the facilities of the sister resort, Heritage Le Telfair. Getting to the golf courses was easy, with shuttles running every 20 minutes. Both courses, Le Chateau were in great condition despite periods of heavy rain and tee times weren’t a problem. Good that Le Chateau will store your clubs and transport them to La Reserve if you want them to. 1st resort Id have no hesitation going back to
