The hotel was great, staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a king room which was very spacious with a lovely big bed, very comfortable clean room. The bathroom was also clean and spacious with nice toiletries available. Food was super, had a lovely evening meal and breakfast. Shout out to Charlie in the restaurant, what a lovely young man and a credit to the Hilton Group.

A bit disappointing that a hotel at a sporting venue like this doesn't have a bar area with Sky Sports on where you can have a drink and watch the footy in the evening after a round of golf. The Lakeview Bar was closed and has been for a while. Overall, the hotel was ok, but I'm not sure I'd rush back.

The Hilton Ageas Bowl was perfect for us, the rooms were modern and well appointed. We had dinner if Beefy’s restaurant which was great. Buffet breakfast was also very good with loads of options, both hot and cold. Breakfast also finished at 11 on Sunday which was really good. Great stay and a nice hotel with friendly & helpful staff!

Excellent staff. All very friendly and helpful. The kitchen catered well for our large group of 25. The breakfast buffet was excellent with so many choices. Rooms are clean and modern. Some rooms were too warm and some too cold, usual a/c problems. Personally I could have done with a weightier duvet. All in all we were all very happy.

Overall a good experience although bars closing at 10.45 not good when away on golf break. Should be a residents bar open to late. Hotel parking very tight spaces and sustained damage to my vehicle with car opening door and scratching my vehicle

1.Checking in was very easy and on time with the rooms (some earlier) We were originally asked by the checking in receptionist to select our food choices off the presented main menu, and was on standby to transpose our choices to a sheet all nicely typed out with our names, and also confirmed we would be dining in beefy restaurant at 8:30pm. 2. The Chef then appeared at the reception desk as we were checking in and made a switch decision of our original dinner plans to a buffet. 3. We were not located in Beefy's restuarant but moved into a secluded room for our group only. We had no bar facilities available and served by 3 inexperienced waiting staff 4. Dinner was not the 4 meal choice option as originally booked but a set meal of Starter – Soup or Terrine (pate). Main - Only Chicken Kiev’s, vegetables and potatoes. Veggie option of Gnocchi balls in a very dry sauce, Desert - Rhubarb crumble & custard. 5. We were told that buffet was to be eat as much as you like. This was not a buffet but a set meal in hot trays. There was only enough for each person to have 1 portion 6. All the food was already laid out on hotplates and looked like it was there for some time. There was no instructions from the staff on what we were to do. 7.The Soup was self service but there were no rolls on the table or at the servery, there was no bread or toast with the Terrine. There was no salt or pepper anywhere in the room, no water or glasses, 8. The young waiting staff seemed to have no idea on what service they were offering us, no one asked if we would like the wine list or drinks at all 9. When rolls finally arrived everyone had finished their main courses 10. Every time we spoke with staff about the issue we were greeted with blank faces and no responses what so ever 11. I can say that 70% of the group did not compete their meals due to the look and taste of the food and total lack of service that went with it. 12. Both Main meal options were very dry, not very warm and very bland 13. We had to clear our own plates/bowls from tables to get our main courses on the table, as mentioned the young staff didn’t have much idea or guidance 14. Wine arrived completion of our mains. 15. During the whole meal fiasco we asked to see a manager and a Supervisor Jake arrived ¾ of the way through the sitting. He arranged for our Sundays dinner to go back to the 4 choice menus. This was all around an hour after we sat down to eat We did receive some complimentary wine at Sundays dinner Overall a very poor dinner service with very little in the way of service, communications or guidance to the staff from the hotel Management The second night we were greeted with NO Guinness at the bar, although the majority of our group drank Guinness on Saturday evening I wouldn’t have though we would drink the place dry. As a Hotel we didn’t think there would be a time limit on ordering drinks but we were on both nights informed at 10.45 that this was the call for last orders

A truly wonderful venue for a golf break. The hotel and staff are magnificent. The golf course is a challenge with many places to lose your ball, but an average to good golfer would not have too much trouble. All in all, a truly memorable time was had by all.

We had a very good weekend at the complex. The reason I have marked 2 stars for Bars and Restaurant is the Bar staff. On Sunday evening, they stopped serving drinks at 10.15pm. My Group were not impressed at all, and 'discussions' took place with Bar Supervisor and Bar Manager. They said we could buy bottles of wine, and they were not accepting cash? The Night Security Manager was most helpful when he came on duty at 10.30pm, and he said he would mention our complaint to Hotel Senior Management the next day. It put a bit of a damper on the evening. Other staff were very accommodating, Catering and Reception

More than 1 practice net would of been nice and lost a star due to some of greens being like concrete, appreciate they’ve not had rain in some time but when some had been watered and some hadn’t was a lottery with approaches at times. But stunning place.

✓30 Jun 2025
Course very dry and hard as expected with the recent weather. Greens were good. First tee box was off temporary box which was disappointing, especially as the reds were a yard away and off a normal tee box. Ball spotter on the first was hilarious with his actions on where you hit your first shot.

It was all of our groups first time here, and were very impressed. Course was in great condition, surprisingly hilly with great views, and each of the holes made you think, wasn't just grip it and rip it with driver. Staff in pro shop and bar were friendly, would definitely come back for another stay.
Claire
✓22 Oct 2024
The only reason to mark this course as a 4 was because it had rained hard the previous day so some of the fairways were rather wet but overall the course was great, its very very hilly, so either take an electric trolley or hire a buggy (this wasn't available due to the rain) we certainly had a work out. We can usually do 18-holes in 3-3.5 hours, this took us 4, maybe a little over, the distances to walk between holes were quite long but the course is average length. This course is challenging, lots of sloping fairways and greens, many holes with water and ditches, but very interesting. The course is being re-jigged so our garmins couldn't read the distances which made it quite difficult to judge but overall would happily visit again. Staff in the pro-shop and on the course were absolutely lovely.

Course was very hard for us but beautiful all the same, first 2 holes are beautiful ans the back 9 is outstanding however still some construction work being done and the nav for scores hasn’t updated. But once the construction is completed this will be a phenomenal course and can’t wait wait to return when it’s complete

✓4 Mar 2024
Despite being shut the day before due to bad weather, the course dried up well and the greens were still immaculate. The one down side is that there is quite a few long walks between green and following tee so if you can, I recommend getting a buggy.

The course was in good condition as it had been very wet in recent days. Course is only par 68 and there are too many par 3's on the back 9. Work is underway to make changes which looked promising. With other par 72 courses around in the area, I'm not sure I'd rush back here, other than for the convenience of being so close to the airport for our flight back to Jersey.

✓21 Sep 2023
The course is not long but you need to use every club in your bag to navigate the course. A real good challenge especially when windy because each hole then has its own troubles to contend with, whilst the greens test you with the angles. Excellent course and well maintained.

✓23 Aug 2023
My wife and I enjoyed the golf with exception of the first day where we had to wait on each tee and the round took over 5 hours. The last 2 days was much better and took about 3 hours 20 minutes to complete a round and made the golf much more enjoyable. The buggy hire was a little more expensive compared with other locations.

✓26 Jun 2023
Boundary lakes is good fun, it is not long but pins were in some tough spots. There is a lot of work going on to remodel parts of the course. Greens had been hollow tuned and cored recently. Pretty burnt out when we played. The round was very slow and we were late teeing off because the group in front were held up (and slow). When the work is done it will be amazing, but for now it is ok.

✓29 Nov 2022
Course was in good condition given then wet conditions leading up to the weekend. Nice mix of par 3's over water and some challenging dogleg par 4's. The further development going on would suggest this course will only improve as it matures. Will play again for sure.

The pro shop staff were all very helpful. We all enjoyed the course and although major works are being carried out it hardly impacted the play. Some long walks between holes. Holes near the M27 were noisy, but then we come from a quiet course. Apart from the first green that was bumpy the rest were all running well. All the holes are interesting. More par 3’s than most but after the works are finished it’ll be a great course and we all said we’d like to return. The Clubhouse staff were again, very friendly and helpful. Only criticism was wine, if available, came in cans! And no lemons for our gin and tonics 😩 If you’re on a two day trip and not driving home after golf then it would have been nice to have enjoyed a drink. Thank you all, it was great.

We played twice at Boundary Lakes (Wednesday & Thursday) and overall were disappointed with the experience. It would appear that the course has only been open for 3 or 4 years and therefore not picked up on golf watches unless they had been updated. We had no notice of this,or any help at the Pro shop, and asdistance markers were limited to 150yd posts judging distances was difficuly forthose playing for the first time. Not much better on the second day. Suffice to say that the noise from the Motorway whileteeing off from a number of the first holes was excessive On Wednesday, there was a marshall and we got off in time. On Thursday, he was missing and we found ourselves having to drive towards cars and individuals who were using a “excess” car park on the other side of the first fairway. No safety precautions were in place. We then found out that we had been allocated a time behind a number of groups of senior members. . Apparently there is aSeniors Competition most Tuesdays and Thursdays. We were not advised of this by the Pro shop . We had to wait on almost every tee. The most disappointing element of the golf course was the number of “blind” shots that had to be played either from the tee and/or the fairway. Accepting that the rough was always going to be penal, the safety aspect was of concern as was the number of balls that went missing – more than usual! In conclusion, we won’t be playing there agin and remain disappointed with the experience.

Enjoyed the course although on the Friday it was extremely busy and very slow due to the number of people playing. There were 2 Charity Days apparently. The fairways were very dry and hard and we encountered some strange bounces. The greens were holding and tricky and thankfully not too fast.
Paul
✓23 Sep 2021
A tough and challenging course. Off the tee on some holes it was difficult to find the ball on some fairways due to the contours of the fairway, even if you hit a straight drive. If it drifted either side into wispy grass or thicker rough we lost quite a few balls. Hence the slow rounds (nearly 4 1/2 hours). The greens were very difficult to read, to the extent that low handicappers were 3 putting! Our second rounds were slightly better as we had some knowledge of the layout. The course was tough and challenging, particularly for higher handicappers.

✓6 Jul 2021
The course is short but requires good positioning and for you to really think about what shot you will play. Positioning is key. Whilst there are a couple of poor holes they are rectifying this by building a couple of new holes and club house for 2022. The course was in great condition, staff were friendly and it was quick to get round. Consequently our group enjoyed the course much more than we expected and would return again especially when the new holes are open. Definitely would recommend for a golf weekend.

Fantastic golf course, it’s not long but it feels like it. The greens are as good as any we played on all over the world. Quite a few par 3s but once the new development of 2 new holes which I believe will take some par 3 out this course, the only bad thing that we had was the rain on the second day, so 4 people could not play as the course put a buggy ban on. is a definite play now or in the future.all of the19 people enjoyed it. We will be back. David Morgan Brean golf club
