Accommodation at Marina Club Lagos
Golfers will always be a drawn of this particular region with its myriad of high quality golf courses, but when it comes to hotels you may prefer to be closer to the many restaurants and bars that towns around the Algarve are famous for than on or near the courses themselves. If that's the case, you'd be hard pressed to select a better venue than Marina Club in Lagos.
Lagos itself is an old and historic town that's blessed with a mix of striking architecture, elegant squares and excellent restaurants - as well as lively nightspots and good shops and cafes. Marina Club is near all of these and, you'll not be surprised to learn, the chic marina area too. This is a popular tourist zone where you can hire yachts, take sailing trips or simply enjoy some excellent seafood at one of the nearby restaurants.
The hotel appeals to both couples and family groups and is perfect for those seeking a quiet and peaceful hotel, but with excellent access to Lagos and its attractions.
Facilities-wise, it's excellent, with a well equipped gym, Jacuzzi and sauna, and children's playground. The Marina Club swimming pool is a sight to behold with two waterfalls, an island with palm trees and an area for young children.
The two-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments and 27 superior studios of the 4-star Marina Club II complex are superbly equipped for visiting golfers - luxuriously furnished with contemporary design, lovely kitchenettes, air- conditioning and LCD. The decor is modern and relaxing and each room also has air-conditioning, a satellite TV, a safe for valuables, telephone, a private bathroom, tea and coffee making facilities and a private balcony.
Eating here is a delight with a varied menu offered at the Way Point Restaurant and Regata Club, serving a variety of tapas, snacks, light meals, lunch and dinner à la carte.
Under a mile away is the lovely beach of Meia Praia while most of the superb local golf courses, including Penina and Boavista, are a short drive away.

Only real issue was the Wi-Fi which was shocking. None of the group of 8 could get on in our rooms at any time of day or night.This might seem trivial but is an essential part of your relaxation time to have access to emails etc. This issue greatly reduced the rating and I personally would never go back to this hotel.

Very nice place. One bedroom suite really suited our needs with fridge really welcome, friendly staff and good breakfast. Happy hour in bar also very welcome. And pool and pool area great.
Most enjoyable stay in very comfortable ,spacious apartment on third floor with pool view . Pool area excellent with plenty sunbeds and towel supplies. Staff friendly/helpful . Food very good ,if somewhat limited in range. Great location on Marina and walking distance to main restaurant areas and beautiful old town . Excelleent beaches nearby
