course good, really windy day so golf was tough

Absolutely love the course, the views are absolutely outstanding, greens in good condition and to top it all off the club allow us to play the nine hole point to point course before we played, which was absolutely brilliant.

Simply an amazing course in an amazing setting. Great that you are able to attach the Point holes either before or after your championship course round. It makes for a highly memorable day of golf.

Probably the most beautiful course I have ever played, views were just stunning. The Point 9 holes is an absolute must too, tricky and what an experience, must walk down to the beach for a pint after the first 6 holes!!. Will defiantly try to come back here.

Peninsular closed in summer holidays as too many tourists, will defo go back

We all loved this course. The course presented in excellent condition. Challenging and interesting with lots of lovely features and the sea views were breath-taking. Definitely would play this again.

Very windy, quite rainy, but the most amazing unique golfing experience

Course in very good condition. Played on a very windy day which made course difficult.

This course was stunning you can see why they call it the UK Pebble Beach. The club house was lovely and a large pro shop. As you play the first hole you have the crystal blue sea behind the green, then you turn and play the next three holes along the cliff top. The fairways and greens were immaculate with some very quick putts. Again the strong northerly wind increased the difficulty of an already challenging course, but everyone enjoyed the experience. A note to anyone calling to look at the course before playing if you park in the golf carpark you need to go into the clubhouse and log your car registration to avoid a parking ticket.

Lovely golf course, with fabulous views. Shame the holes out on the peninsula were not open due to storm damage.

Very tricky course with spectacular views all around.

Another brilliant course. The 2nd, 3rd, and 4th run along the cliff top and give fantastic views of the bay. We were lucky enough to watch a minky whale cruising along the cost. Greens are true and well kept but very slow. Don’t expect any putt to run out. But it’s a very enjoyable days golf - although probably very difficult if the wind blows!

The course was great and setting incredible. Would be very difficult in high winds. Changing room let the club house down. Driving range was shocking for such a great club house and course.

What a fabulous course, overall rating was judged as 4 stars only because of a temporary green and slowness on the greens basically because of the time of the year. Playing a little later in the year would definitely be 5 stars. The views are spectacular and the fairways are fabulous, must play course.

Weather was not on our side but course was lovely and in great condition considering it had only just opened the full 18. Staff, food and facilities were excellent

Greens very long and slow; some holes closed so we were provided with an 'ad hoc' 18 holes and could not experience the peninsula holes to their full glory. We would have liked to have been informed of the works going on at the course prior to playing as we may have looked for an alternative.

Lovely setting. Course getting a lot of use with the very good deal on YGT. This is reflected in course standard. Inland course much better - greens better and less damage than the holes on the point.

There are 27 holes, very well maintained with some of the best views you’ll find. The championship course is fantastic. The old course (peninsula) is now more of a novelty, fun if you have time after the full 18

The sights at Nefyn are breathtaking and can see why it is referred to as the pebble beach of the UK. Course was in fantastic condition. Managed to play the 18 hole new course and then head out for the 9 holes on the point as an added bonus. Members were super friendly and staff equally welcoming. Will be back again for sure!

One of the best courses I’ve played over the years. I’ve played at some wonderful venues over the past 5 years such as Wentworth, The Belfry, Forrest of Arden and Nefyn is right up there. The price is a bargain

It was a windy day so a challenge....views of sean and coast n every hole spectacular .... lovely course and clubhouse facilities.....loved it.

Managed only 10 holes as we were hampered due to consistent rain but would definitely return so as to experience a full round of golf and the surrounding attractions hopefully in better weather.

Will be hard pushed to play a better course this year! Words won’t do it justice YOU MUST VISIT. Soon as you pull up you know you have made the right choice! Beautiful all the way round. The point is so difficult but enjoyable all the same! 27 holes for the price of 18 is the icing on the cake. Welsh wonder spot.

Magnificent

Amazing views and challenging conditions, is there ever a calm day at Nefyn? A must play course for golfers who like a challenge and have a sense of humour.

Played a good few times now,the pro fantastic all ways gets us all laughing and sends us out there ready no matter what the wind might be doing,i put hard because off how the weather can be, but as for the course it's fantastic and the condition. Hopefully we are playing it twice next week.

Fantastic condition, views out of this world. Golf course immaculate. Wind was up an even though I felt beat up coming off the course it was unbelievable - 10/10

The walk around the old ninexwas great duevto going closed when we went. The coastal holes were stunning though the inland were quite samey. Greens were great and will have to come again to play the peninsula.

Played here twice now and very enjoyable course to get around! Lovely weather too.

You just have to play this course amazing views and great condition. Played all 27 holes in The Point

Disappointed that YGT did not ask which of the 3 9’s we wanted to play ! Had to call the club the day before only to find we hadn’t been booked on the signature 9 ‘ the point’. Fortunately the club were able to accommodate us by rearranging the tee times

The course and surrounding views were exceptional. We enjoyed the round. The only downside was that play was slow on the back nine holes.

What a place, amazing course, excellent scenery, employees and members all very welcoming, we will be back to play ‘the point’ another time, just a great experience overall, we ended up playing this twice and paying rather than playing Pwllheli

Wonderful views, some good holes and some poor ones. Some crossover of holes which was interesting! All in all, worth playing.

Great fun course, stunning views. Course in great condition when we played. The Championship course had some wonderful holes, the back nine becomes a little less links like but we all really enjoyed the course. Don't miss the chance to play the Point nine too if you can. Remarkable nine holes of golf, quirky and challenging.

This course has to be on every golfers bucket list …. All 27 holes of it. Note to play the signature 9 holes (the head) you have to finish before 9.30am or tee off after 5pm but is a must play. Possibly the most scenic golf course in Great Britain I kid you not!

Great day out even in the rain

The most stunning of golf courses. The scenery is out of this world. A must play if you’re in the north of Wales!

Made very welcome by the professional, John Froom when we arrived. We played the Championship course and it didn't disappoint. Very scenic, well kept and interesting to play.

A good experience

Another fantastic course although it rained all day and was really windy which made it harder. Came off soaking wet but thoroughly enjoyable and picturesque.

Unfortunately we chose to play this course in 45+ mph winds and rain..whoops. However, course was visually stunning and a great one to tick from the bucket list. The old 9 holes are very tough, but enjoyable even in the wind. Greens condition could be better on the old course but totally understandable for how much it must get played. I wouldn’t return to this course personally, but many of the group said they would like to return on a calmer day… Unable to comment on practice facilities as these were not used but nice open plan bar and clubhouse.

Wow, what can I say, best course I've played on. We played the blue course which is the Point, this is a must with fabulous holes and views, a great experience. We then played the yellow course which was awesome. Really good condition with fantastic greens. Very nice clubhouse and friendly people. This is a must

Best course I've played

The course was in beautiful condition and the greens were pure. A really decent test of golf, however keep your mind on the game because them stunning views will easily distract you! What a stunning part of the world, insanely beautiful views and lovely people. Highley recommended.

Excellent course Brilliant views Just weather spoil the round

Unbelievable views all around, great course with many enjoyable holes. The 4 holes on the point were extremely tight though and we only played 2 because of this. A visit to the pub at the bottom of the hill in fully recommended!

Good cause in a stunning location, even got to see some seals. Some difficult holes, particularly one with forced carry over a cliff, which may be problematic for those battling a slice! Great fun, would love to play it again.

The weather made the golf as it showed off the landscape at its best. Very successful trip.

Suberb setting with tremendous scenery. Sadly the old golf holes on the peninsula were closed due to weather damage but the remaining course was very good.

GB's Pebble Beach with spectacular vistas. Great condition and a good mix of types of holes. Good clubhouse and grub too. We'll deffo be back.

Nefyn is always a stunning course to play, I would highly recommend and will definitely be going again.

Without doubt my favourite on this trip. I have played many a great course from Pebble to The Old Course, Kingsbarns to King Island, Cape Town to Horizon Hills - and Nefyn sits in my top 10 played courses - its just a magnificent setting all round.

Fantastic views, this course has the wow factor. Greens were a little bare but that was much to do with playing in first week of April. Challenging course in the wind but a fantastic experience. Would recommend.

What a fantastic course with stunning views. The wind gods were very kind to us. Just 1 green on temps but overall we had a fantastic round.

What a lovely course, tough but the views over the point were stunning. We played in winter but the course was in good condition with greens suitably in good shape.

Played the old course with the yellow on Friday with perfect conditions. Looking back the old course, although picturesque was peppered with par 3’s. Defo worth playing though. Saturday was blowing a Gale and course became a real test. Yellow 9 absolutely stunning and such a challenge. Red felt like a bit of a let down although still nice views. Stuck behind a society so ended up being a 5 1/2 round. Would defo play again. Driving range didn’t have any balls, so limited warm up.

Nefyn was great, we were lucky with the weather for Sept. It was windy of course but that is standard for a peninsula course. Its one of those courses you'll always play better next time once you know where you are going, but overall a lovely & interesting course with many challenges & spectacular sea views

An incredible experience for all of the party - windy and one heavy shower. The ‘Point’ was amazing and not as difficult as I expected

Totally great experience, particularly back nine (blue). However, very dangerous for the multitude of public walkers who have access to the course. Very off putting for those golfers who have difficulty in hitting straight shots!! Don't know how course approved by Health and Safety Inspectorate.

An absolutely fantastic experience !!! And as for the drink on the geach near the 15th, what can I say ! We will return.

The Point 9 is just a fabulous golfing experience. Yes, a couple of the holes may not satisfy a purist, but that is a small price to pay to allow 9 holes to be squeezed onto one of the most spectacular peninsula location in the UK. Also really enjoyed the front 9 which follows the cliff edge for many holes. The best golf experience in N Wales.

We had a great time and really enjoyed the challenge of this links in sunny, breezy weather. Plenty of really strong par 4's to test the long game. Definitely one to play again.

Stunning golf course. Best course I've ever played.Golf does not get any better or harder than here. for me highly recommended.

What a superb location and course! From the moment you arrive in the car park and look out over the expansive views you cannot wait to start. The welcome from the girl in the shop was friendly and warm, very helpful with pointers and instructions to layout as can be confusing for first time players. The clubhouse has superb views across the headland and brilliant sea views. As for the course we played the Front and Old (points) parts of the course. The front 9 is excellent, some superb holes, with the wind blowing in off the coast the course is a fair and fun test of golf, if the wind was blowing the other direction I would make sure to stock up on golf balls! After completing the Front 9 you have a choice of 9s to complete the New and Old. As mentioned we played the old. Superb! The wind was brutal, sometimes 4-5 club wind. Working out club selection was laughable at times. However you don’t care. The views are outstanding. The holes are incredibly dramatic especially the highly elevated par 3 14th, where you tee off from next to a Coastwatch look out tower! Make sure after playing the 15th you stroll down to the Ty Coch inn for a mid round refreshment as the cove the pub is set in is idyllic. After finishing the round, the clubhouse is friendly and the food was fantastic. Overall a brilliant experience and can not fault it one bit. Cannot wait to play it again and will make sure we play it as a 27 holes!

Fantastic trip to North Wales. Played Royal St David’s, difficult course but stunning links golf, followed by Nefyn & District, the point was spectacular and Course was in great condition, an experience not to be missed. The final day was at Porthmadog and again the course was in good shape with the greens in excellent condition A contrast of heathland/Parkland on the front 9 followed by good links golf on the back 9. All the clubs were very welcoming from the pro shops to the clubhouse and the Lion Hotel in Cricceith was friendly, helpful and perfectly situated for the stay. The weather was perfect, sunshine ☀️ and gentle breeze throughout, this topped off a fantastic North Wales Golfing experience. Thank you Jack at your golf travel for organising and booking the great weather to go with the amazing golf.

We unfortunately chose to play on Nefyn on the day of 60 mph wind which made life a little difficult. One hole on the back 9 was not playable due to salt damage to the green so we played an extra hole on one of the other 9 hole courses. We were booked to play the back 9 on the 9 hole course which runs along the peninsula which we thought was a bit " mickey mouse in places but altogether a great experience with great views.

Amazing views that make the most of the location. The front 9 has some super holes. The old back 9 has a few quirky holes that didn't fit with the rest of the course. Pro & staff made us all welcome

Some very demanding long par 4s especially into what was a strong wind. As a 6 handicapper I could reach the first 3 holes in regulation. Great views and greens excellent. The point part of the course was a bit different but we preferred the other parts of the course.

We all wanted to play the peninsula and we where not disappointed by the scenery, the location is amazing and the staff helpful and friendly. However the condition of the holes on the peninsula wasn't very good. The inland holes where in far better condition but these where let down by the greens. Very slow and bumpy with far too much grass on them. I'm sure if we played them in a few weeks they would be great. Well worth that extra 60 minute drive for the experience.

Course was as expected with links. Fabulous views. Only thing 'The Point' closes at 1030 for health and safety matters.

Fantastic golf course, some of the greens on the Old Course on the Point had obviously suffered a bit from the very hot Summer, but overall, the course was in great condition. Golf Pro really helpful in getting us an earlier Tee Time. Unfortunately, we were playing in front of a Society who seemed to want to hastle us from behind, was very disappointed with the attitude of some of them making unnecessary, unpleasant comments on the Tee, especially as my Brother is 82yrs old and not as quick as he once was. Having said that, it didn’t spoil our overall experience on this great course and would definitely play there again.
