Queens Park is located close to central Bournemouth, and is an extremely well established parkland layout. Founded in 1905, the course was opened by J H Taylor, Harry Vardon, James Braid and Alex Herd in an exhibition match as it started its life within some very famous company. The golf course went onto be a regular feature on the PGA European Tour, and was the venue for numerous high profile tournaments, hosting famous names like Seve Ballesteros, Sir Henry Cotton and Tony Jacklin.
Well-suited for mixed handicap groups, Queens Park is a challenging parkland course, with gently undulating fairways lined with mature trees. The most striking feature of this golf course in Bournemouth is its magnificent and picturesque surroundings - the course winds its way around the edge of an ancient forest, complete with deer and local wildlife. In places, the course can compete with almost any heathland layout with strategically placed heather lining fairways and approaches to greens.

The days of professional championships may be over, but this is merely a by-product of the exponential advance in golfing technology that has rendered so many outstanding courses in the mould of Queens Park too short, and is in no way a reflection of the quality on offer.
The manicured fairways are shadowed by the towering pines of the estate, and are bordered by the colourful heather and gorse; when these are in bloom, Queens Park is a beautiful place to play golf, and is undoubtedly a highlight of any Bournemouth golf tour.
As one of the oldest municipal golf courses in England, Queen's Park provides a great place for people to play as part of their stay in Bournemouth. Welcoming guests year-after-year and with easy access to central Bournemouth, a round here is enjoyable and great value for money.

Awful course. Public park which had dog walkers and people walking just accross middle of the fairways while you was trying to hit your shot. (if you could call them that) pace of play was so slow that waiting on nearly every shot made us want to walk off the course. Really terrible round and wasn’t a very enjoyable morning

Golf course doubles as a park full of families and dog walkers on every hole that don’t look before walking out Absolute nightmare round

Only thing we didn’t like was that it’s a public park lots of dogs and people free roaming around, course itself was good value for money and the condition was good for a public course.

A public course and on the Day we played, there were a lot of pedestrians due to really nice weather.

A typical, well used municipal course. Decent condition but nothing great. Inconsistent quality of greens. Biggest challenge were the walkers. As a municipal course, they have right of access so you need to be careful and tolerant. Would not play there again. The sister municipal course (Meyrick) was in better condition and had less walkers. Would play that course again.

Excellent course anc well kept, only downside is it’s located in a public park to pedestrians and dog walkers everywhere!

This is a poorly maintained course. The grass had not been cut on the fairway, making it difficult to tell where it was. The bunkers had very little sand in them and it makes for a very slow round when you have to keep stopping to allow dog-walkers to pass through the course, as well as having to avoid the dog faeces that. They leave behind! There is no bar or facilities on this course. Would not recommend.

A challenging course with several distinct holes to provide variation in a wonderful parkland setting. Please note that it is set in a public park with a lot of dogs and walkers, so be careful. Really enjoyed the course though

A very nice track with very attractive holes. The overall experience is brought down by the sheer numbers of dog walkers on the course and unfortunately the subsequent dog mess which they fail to pick up.

The course is good and the greens were in very good condition. However, playing on a Sunday presented challenges with numerous people walking dogs across fairways, around greens and appearing out of trees. A few strange holes with blind shots into ‘hidden valleys’ where a public footpath crossed. The course was a challenge, Greens were good, fairways were ok but bunkers were in poor condition.

We enjoyed the course and there are some interesting feature holes. The course has public access for dog walkers (of which there were quite a few). This was frustrating on occasion as we had to wait on the tee or fairway whilst the dogs & owners were clear.

Nice laid out municipal course. Friendly Staff and course in fair condition for pay and play course. THE PUBLIC - jeeeesus! We had to wait almost every shot as there were dog walkers, kids with their parents in bikes, joggers etc just doing what they wanted with no awareness of it being a golf course. DANGEROUS, seriously make sure you are insured properly before playing here. This is an accident waiting to happen
