This eco friendly track is kept in immaculate condition all year round, with Salam Paspalum used on tees and fairways while ultra-award miniverde grass on the greens, for lightning fast speeds. At 7006 yards, the course isn’t the longest but will definitely favour big hitters on many of the holes, especially the opening par 5 which plays downhill, so in the ever-present humid conditions expect a lot of roll on your drive. If length isn’t an issue, you will be tested on course management and a whole range of golfing skills as each hole presents a unique challenge for golfers of all abilities. The course’s design lends itself to the strategic players, navigating round punishing sand traps, unforgiving water hazards and many hills framing the holes; a product of the deep lakes around the course. Many of the holes offer risk-reward golf and while tempting, understand that one bad shot can damage your scorecard. The best holes on the course come in a cluster with the par 5 6th, par 4 7th and par 3 8th all product of Morrow’s and Tikkanen’s greatest design with great challenges which make for some seriously exciting golf.
The modern clubhouse is a large space where returning golfers can enjoy the brilliant facilities and relax after a testing round at Riverdale Golf Club. With contemporary locker rooms, a 5* members club, fully equipped pro shop and several restaurants, some of which overlooking the 10th and 18th holes, the clubhouse acts as a perfect complement to the excellent golf course.
