The Sea Pines Resort is located on the beautiful Hilton Head Island in South Carolina. This unique resort provides guests with amazing views of the magnificent Atlantic Coastline and is the perfect place for either your dream family or golfing vacation. The resort is full of entertainment for everyone, whether you are looking to soak up the spectacular sunshine, stay active on one of the tennis courts or try your hand at some water sports. The Sea Pines Resort is the ideal destination for you. However, arguably the biggest pull factor to this stunning resort is the fact that three glorious links golf courses are only a chip and a putt away.

Pete Dye took control of the Heron Point course making it more player-friendly, but still producing those "risk and reward" holes he is famous for. Davis Love III headed up the reconstruction of the previously named "Ocean course" into the new Atlantic Dunes Par 72 masterpiece, combining seaside holes with that Low country feel. Finally, the famous Lighthouse guides you down the 18th of Harbour Town Links, host to the Heritage Classic, one of the favourite venues on the PGA Tour and a "must play" course in Hilton Head.

Harbour Town Golf Links

This beautiful 18 hole set up is the co-creation of famed designer Pete Dye and the legendary Jack Nicklaus who was used as a consultant. The course is a testing links which places an emphasis on a golfer’s ability to think their way a round of a golf course as opposed to simply blasting it off the tee, perhaps this is why it is a favourite of many of the tour players.

The course is famed for boasting some of the most jaw dropping par 3s in the game of golf, as well as being home the one of the most feared finishing holes in the world. With the course having the parents it has, it is no wonder that Harbour Town Links has racked up a whole host of awards from being one of the best courses in the state to one of the best in North America. When staying at The Sea Pines Resort this 18 hole set up is an unmissable golfing opportunity.

Heron Point

Heron Point is another incredible course that will be right on your doorstep when staying at Sea Pines Resort. The 18 hole set up is another wonderful creation of famous architect Pete Dye, who after recently overseeing renovations to the course in attempt to make it more player friendly has truly outdone himself slightly.

The biggest challenge around the course is mental as many of the holes are laid out in a fashion that will reward risk but test a player’s skill level to execute the attacking shot. Accuracy is imperative when playing Heron Point and it is important not to get distracted by the beautiful view or your ball may end up in one of the four inland water hazards the course has.

Atlantic Dunes by Davis Love III

The 3rd world class golf course that is right on your doorstep when staying at The Sea Pines Resort is the Atlantic Dunes Course. The course is a complete redesign of the first golf course built on Hilton Head, The Ocean Course. The project was headed up by no other than 2012 U.S.A Ryder Cup captain Davis Love III who has certainly delved deep into his wealth of golfing knowledge to create a truly spectacular course.

Love is no stranger to Hilton Head’s golf courses either having won the RBC Heritage on the Harbour Town Links 5 times. The newly designed Atlantic Dunes skirts the natural pine trees that inhabit the island and incorporates the stunning sand dunes to make this a very aesthetically pleasing course. Player’s require both mental and physical golfing capabilities to get their way round what is a testing 18 hole layout.
