Secret Valley Golf Club

Fabulous course, only problem was a very new to golf single player who held us up despite being spoken to by marshals on a few separate occasions.

Short course, but tight in places. Greens large and fast. Tees and greens were in good condition, although we had a temporary green on one hole that we wasn't told about.

Picturesque course in a deep valley. Some quirky and some very challenging holes. Not a particularly warm welcome from the man at the front. The starter however was helpful and friendly as were the bar staff. 3 wheel golf trolley expensive at 10 euros. Elea was 5

It's a tough course, especially playing for the first time not knowing about the hidden river running though some of the fairways. The course itself was stunning and in excellent condition, except for the reported problem on the 11th Green

Short of buggies

A couple of the greens were really bad with weeds and dead grass covering them, otherwise an enjoyable round with another nice couple whom we were paired with

Lovely course and great condition. Clubhouse good and great food. Halfway house was good. Buggies did not have gps tracking etc. but overall great course

This was a flatter slightly less challenging course than Aphrodite Hills, and I did have to walk the course using an electric trolley (no buggies were available). However er it was in great condition, offered a wide variety of scenic and challenging golf holes. The facilities were excellent and the staff friendly helpful and welcoming. I would certainly return to play here again.

There was an issue with the 10th green I would have been happier if the had told us about this prior to our round rather than finding it as we played we did play the course a second time and they did tell us about it on the second occasion so may have been an oversight Also there was work going on on the course with clear drainage or seeding lines both on the fairways and greens

When we checked in with the pro shop we were told we had got 2 electric trollies. Fortunately we had a voucher from the hotel which confirmed you had booked a buggy. She checked and we got one. She was pretty miserable in the pro shop. There were loads of buggies there before and after our game. The 2 guys we were paired up with played there the same day and had to have trollies on a very hot day.

Great course but a lot of blind shots and tight fairways. Not great for high handicappers like myself haha

Narrow course, especially on the front nine, would be a challenge for any level of golfer. Staff were pleasant enough. Would definitely play here again.

Great test of golf but like the Elea all the greens were under maintenance which YGT assured me they wouldn’t be. Very poor communication from YGT.

Later tee times not favourable, after originally booking 10.30 tee times and then having them moved to midday

They didn’t have buggies reserved for us so we had to carry our bags in 30 degree heat. I was under the impression we had buggies included at every course. Course itself and clubhouse was excellent.

Lovely course, everything was great, I thought this was the best in Paphos

Interesting course, narrows after hole 5, good advice given to go for position rather than distance, paired with a Swiss couple, very nice, play was slow after a while due to a group at least 3 ahead. Will definitely visit again.

Interesting challenge , Marshalls did great job but unfortunately could not assist wherecslow play incurred, 60min wait on tenth tee !

A warm welcome to the golf club by all the staff and was giving a briefing by a member of green staff. A nice picturesque course in a Valley was tight in places and very memorable. Would definitely play again

First nine have some really tight holes, opening out on the back nine.

The best course we played. Great clubhouse and well organised reception. Beautiful setting along a valley with good landscaping and well maintained throughout. Some thought provoking holes that required good course management. Good fairways with lots of trees and rough but bunkers were GUR because of previous rainfall. Greens were in good condition, fast , yet easy to read.

Course is good and manageable. Rounds are slow 4.5-5 hours, because a lot of groups and some poor players. Very busy.

There are a few blind shots, especially off the tee, some high handicap players may struggle with tight fairways, even members were asking how balls did you lose!!

Played with a member whom was very helpful and advised of best direction and course management. Very good club, staff could be a little more helpful, Golf buggy optional as the course isn't that hilly , apart from 2 times. I was disappointed with the pace of play as the fairways are quite narrow, with bunkers in various places to making this a thinking man/woman's course. However Secret valley is its worst enemy as it allows many societies and tourists on the course. When i plaed there was a slow 4 ball ahead and ahead of them a very slow society. The starter could of acted as a marshall again requesting these groups to play quicker, Even the temp starter could have doubled up. Overall, had a lovely round but would prefer to play early next time. I had to ask for a towel for the showers, limited visitor areas and locked lockers

Again, let down by YGT in a major way !!!! Was told two weeks before travel that “the course had no buggies” but also that they hadn’t booked our Tee times for 11am so we had been given three times from 13.50 onwards. Once again, upon booking in Jan 2024, the stipulation was 10 travellers, made up of 1x 4ball and 2x 3balls with buggies to suit. We arrived at the course, paid for 6 buggies that were readily available, only to be told that the dispute over Tee times and buggies with YGT had been over costs - hence bumping our group on both !!! The last 2 groups finished in the pick dark - which I can provide photographs of if necessary

Secret Valley is a delight. Some beautiful holes and wonderful views. The course was in very good condition, fairways and greens amazing. Greens run at a better speed than Aphrodite (ie, slightly slower) buy the course is much tighter. I would recommend a buggy here as we walked the first time and there are a few really hilly bits. We enjoyed it more second time when we had the buggy. Off the yellows, the course is short but very challenging.

Very good quite hard but playable staff could be a little more helpful sent us out with a poorly charged buggy and had to wait for a replacement

Millionaires golf, course was empty. Very tight fairways, good greens.

Great round at Secret Valley, the marshal was extremely helpful in getting me out on the course and avoiding any delays as I was playing by myself, he also brough me out some bottles of water as I forgot to buy some before the round. The staff on the course were also very welcoming, I came across a couple of the course staff during the round and they were very respectful while waiting for me to hit a shot.

Fantastic test of golf in magnificent conditions

Play was steady due to us playing on Saturday when it was club competitions, but was my favourite course of the 4 we played, very technical and much thinking needed to cope with sloping fairways and blind tee shots, but a beautiful setting in the valley and once again staff and local players very welcoming and helpful.

Nice course without the challenges of some of the other courses but fun to play.

Another good course. Our second favourite after Aphrodite Hills. The play was slow though and it could have been better marshalled.

Amazing course! Well kept fairways and greens. Really tight fairways so have to be accurate off the tee. Lovely clubhouse, great staff and fun marshals. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely beautiful golf course. Playable, but challenging for us, which was just what we would want. Fairways were all slitted, as it is obviously “that time of year” but the grass coverage was still excellent so it did not spoil the experience at all - unlike Minthis. Greens very good. Would definitely love to play again. However, PLEASE, PLEASE - as with Minthis - do advise your clients to book a buggy - again we had only booked one, with 2 electric trolleys - we were lucky that they managed to find one for us at the last minute. Long walks and quite hilly.

The staff in the pro shop and at the bar are rather rough in the way they communicate.

Very scenic course. A gem.

Unfortunately our time was wrong on our sheet so they had to slot us in but behind 4 balls, extremely slow, 5 hours but again we walked it no problem (we’re in our mid to late 50s).

A beautiful track that meanders through the valley with a beautiful set lakes and very clever use of the terrain. One of my favourites. Tight in places so you need to be careful but very good on the eye.

Great little course! Well designed in it's tucked-away location. Our group really enjoyed it. Like Minthis though, shame about the additional charge for buggy hire, although at least this course was walkable.

Again, lovely scenic course, shorter than Aphrodite but still a good test. Staff were helpful and well organised.

Another beautiful course in a stunning location. Yet again, many varied holes with some forgiving of our lack of accuracy and others taking our ball hostage. We were pleased to have three great days of golf.

Narrow and attractive course. On a par with Menthis and better than Elea. We did not play Aphropdite

Some holes are extremely difficult. Not a course for high handicappers. Will play it agin on our next trip to Cyprus but just Once. Many tight fairways. Imperative to hit it straight. If not, stay away. If yes, you’ll love the challenge.

This course divided opinion between our 8. It was in excellent condition but some holes were (debatably) too quirky and blind off the tee and approaches. Playing it a second time would have been the answer. The staff were fantastic and course condition excellent

Shortest course but had to plot way around

Worth playing but is expensive when compared to courses in similar price range. Course runs along a steep valley with front 9 going out and back 9 returning to clubhouse. The front 9 is tighter and requires more precise placement of shots and there several elevated tees throughout the course. Greens are in fair condition, although there are a lot of weeds. Some variation in greens layout, some undulating, whilst others have more subtle borrows. Course is in good condition with very acceptable tee boxes, fairways and bunkers. There are toilets every 4 holes and a good halfway house, but only take cash. This is a walkable course, and they have a lot of trolleys for rent. If you want a buggy (€39), you will need to reserve one at busier times of the year. Most groups are in 4 ball and the round took 4 1/2 hours, with a 10 min break at halfway house. Large clubhouse with excellent facilities.

Very challenging course for high handicap players.

This is beautiful course full of varied and interesting holes. This is the first course I would want to go back to in Cyprus and the one I would play time and again if I lived in Cyprus. An excellent, hugely enjoyable round only let down by the pace of play. Nice clubhouse too with views over the 18th.

Very good service nice course

Played twice. First time was quite quick, second not so as we were following a 4 ball that played from white tees but they were not up to that standard. Course conditions very good both fairways and greens. Many variations in holes, driver not always best option from tee as dog legs quite tight. Course management vital.

Challenging golf course, quite narrow with lots of trees and a dry riverbed running through the whole course. Great clubhouse and good food. Much better since the course redesign a number of years ago.

Joined with an English guy new golfer who played very well. Very poor hire clubs when I went to use fairway wood it didn’t have a shaft. Not very concerned at club house. Tee off time confirmed as 12:20 but actual tee time booked was 11:20. They managed to slot us in.

A good challenging course, with tight outward 9 holes, and some tricky dog legs. Back 9 wider fairways, but as name suggests a secluded quiet course, which we really enjoyed playing. Very good facilities and friendly staff. Would recommend as alternative to the busier Aphrodite Hills course if you prefer to play leisurely golf on challenging course

Great course and again in superb condition

The round was very slow due to 4 members taking lots of shots. Not letting people through poor marshalling.

This is a top course with a fantastic lay out in good condition and must for all golfers coming to Paphos.

The course is beautiful, you need to play it more than once, some holes are blind. We played it 3 times, lovely.

We were told we could walk it the 1st day and although it is walkable. The heat made it very unpleasant. It is situated in a valley and was a heat trap. We took a buggy the next time and it was fine. A good wee course.

Good course excellent holiday golf course.

Tight course, beautifully landscaped into the valley. Not one for the bomber off the tee but uses every club in your bag. Greens had been top dressed was my only complaint..loved it!

The best course voted by my party !! Great layout and like it says Secret Valley !!! Value for money on food and drinks were spot on

No local rules on the scorecard!! This on a very unusual course which runs through a river valley! Blind shots to VERY narrow fairways on front 9, balls played to the right across the river to the back 9 are lost because there are no bridges across the river. Back 9 was much better, really enjoyed it.

Good holiday course, fairly easy to walk round with just a pull trolley

Excellent course with toilet and drinks machine every three holes. The course was in good condition despite the rain that had fallen. Green were fast and true. The club house and facilities were excellent. We did rent electrical trollies, which were reasonably priced.

Not first-class course any how.

We had 5 hr rounds maybe this was caused by some players walking and others had buggies but it was extremely slow.

Shorter than Aphrodite Hills but quite tight in places. Greens had been sanded the day we played which was a bit frustrating and got stuck behind a slow 4 Ball. The half way hut does a mean Bacon & Egg bap. Lovely course though and certainly made my golf look good. Handmade Burger in the Clubhouse was fantastic and the Marshall even leant us his yardage book to help get us round.

My favourite course again the greens were in good condition they had been storm damage through the winter to several areas but this is not distract from the golf. We were told an easy course to walk however I woukd disagree some steep hills so again electric trolley next time or buggy. Goid shop and bar area
