Located just 120km southeast of Bangkok, the golf course at St Andrews 2000 is one of the most plays when visiting Thailand; the extravagant and unorthodox designer Desmond Muirhead was given carte blanc to create an extraordinary layout and it certainly does not disappoint.
St Andrews 2000 in Rayong also has two other championship golf courses that are part of the same venue, Rayong Green Valley Country Club and Silky Oak Country Club. So with three spectacular golf courses to choose from within one venue, this spot in Thailand is a dreamland for any avid golfer.

7 Nights, 4 Rounds
Firstly, the club’s name is merely a tribute to the home of golf – suffice to say that the course itself has nothing in common with that of St Andrews. The par 74 creation measures an astonishing 7,777 yards, and Muirhead has gone to town by fashioning some truly remarkable holes.
There is a fairway shaped to reflect the curves of a woman’s body, canyons, boulders, split-level and split-tiered fairways, and of course, the jaw-dropping par-6s! These measure 878 and 861 yards respectively, and demand four of your Sunday best to get home.
Whilst it may teeter on the edge of crazy golf on a larger scale at times, St Andrews 2000 is truly one of the world’s unique courses, and is a remarkable golfing experience.
There’s a free pint for anyone who hits the green in two shots on either of the par 6s!
