Lagos is a superb destination with a huge choice of excellent restaurants many of which are very reasonably priced. The hotel is very well situated hotel, close to all the facilities of Lagos.
The hotel has an interesting layout but we quickly came to terms with it. The hotel rooms and other facilities/services were all fine. The staff were good and everyone appreciated the convenience of the golf bag room at the front entrance.

Excellent location - clean and friendly staff
8 / 10
Pool area is a bit tired, decking is in need of an overhaul.
Some of the “hot” breakfast items were warm at best so avoided after the first day.
Close enough to the centre of town so ok for a base and somewhere to sleep but I don’t think I’d want to spend my whole holiday there.

Great location. The hotel is clean but old. It really needs an update. Besides that everything is ok. Can recommend the Portuguese restaurant at the hotel.

Very basic room that was a 10 minute walk from reception
8 / 10
Overall a nice stay. Well located for golf and just a short walk into town or the Marina where you’ll find plenty of decent restaurants. The hotel provided an excellent breakfast spread and staff were generally polite and helpful. Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Happy to recommend this accommodation.
8 / 10
Hotel was great but basement rooms were a bit of a chore getting up to the reception and back
8 / 10
Clean and comfortable rooms. Nice helpful staff. Great breakfast and great location.
8 / 10
Great hotel a few minutes walk from the hotel. Its always a worry though when the receptionist has to tell you that you will need someone to show you to your room! :) The place is quite sprawling but once youve got to grips with it the hotel is charming. The breakfast is brilliant, gluten free if required , the bar and pool area very good and service exceptional. Only problem was on the last day was the lift to the top floor(where we were) was out of order and getting back to our rooms the night before, coming back down for breakfast and going back up and then getting golf bags and luggage was a tad strenuous but these things happen and we are still alive to tell the tale. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very pleasant stay.

Its a nice hotel, well located in central Lagos. A bit tired in places and a bit of a maze to navigate around but generally okay. Nice breakfast buffet.

The Tivoli is a sprawling older hotel with a great location in the centre of Lagos. Our room was a good size and the staff were friendly and efficient. We only had breakfast in the hotel, choosing to dine out in the evenings at the many good restaurants nearby. The hotel was however “tired”, particularly in the outside areas where it needed quite a lot attention to bring it up to true four star standard.
6 / 10
No complaints apart from it could do with a facelift
8 / 10
Just what we needed; somewhere to sleep and shower.
Only used the poolside bar a couple of times as we preferred to go out in town

Nice hotel, well situated near town centre. A little tired around the edges in terms of decor but very good.

The standard room was comfortable but the bathroom and especially the shower was tiny also the distance to the room was a long route March. Next time I would book a superior room.

Good Budget Hotel
Review of Tivoli Lagos Hotel
Reviewed 3 days ago
The staff were very nice and the actual hotel was rather charming - quite old fashioned but very Portuguese which was lovely. There were pros and cons. Pros - good location, excellent eco initiative if you don't have housekeeping in you get a couple of drinks vouchers in exchange, great portuguese restaurant on site, good location for many golf courses and a safe room for your clubs. Cons, some rooms overlook the carpark, the cupboard doors bang close and when your neighbours do that in the early hours it is very annoying! It would be nice to have robes and as there are a lot of golfers a TV channel that shows golf! Parts of it need some updating, but it looks like work is being done. All in all a good budget hotel with a very good Indian restaurant 'The Curry Leaf' just across the road.

The rooms were on the small side but adequate for single occupancy. The staff were excellent.
6 / 10
Okay but nothing special. Long way up different flights of stairs. One of the rooms, the shower was really poor. To have a shower was almost impossible. Breakfast was pretty good, but wouldn’t stay there again.
8 / 10
Hotel is looking a little dated but the rooms were comfortable and clean. The location was perfect and the staff were good. Breakfast was a little cold and the bar was expensive when compared to local bars.
8 / 10
Nice location. Clean and tidy. Rooms were a bit small and carrying luggage + golf clubs to the rooms when we arrived was not ideal . Staff very polite and attentive.
8 / 10
The Tivoli is an excellent mid range hotel. It’s always spotlessly clean and the customer service is excellent. 5 minute walk into the centre of Lagos. Didn’t eat in the restaurant other than for breakfast which is excellent…loads of choice.
10 / 10
Lovely rooms, some areas around the pool need a little attention and more room for sun loungers, but overall really good,

This is the 4th year going to the Tivoli on bed and breakfast. We as a group chose this hotel as our 4 partners do not play golf so best of both worlds the enjoy the town and relaxing by the pool while we play golf and at night there is an abundance of wonderful restaurants to choose from.
8 / 10
Hotel is a little tired but is in perfect location in city centre with access to numerous restaurants bars banks if you don’t like eating in hotel which has three restaurants. Short transfers to all local courses staff really friendly

Very quirky hotel

Standard room no tea/coffee making facilities
Poor view and no Wi-Fi access in one of the rooms
We paid extra for better view and kettle

Always a good choice

Good hotel, great location in Lagos. Breakfast was excellent, not sure I like the €20 fine if you take food out of the restaurant ie a sandwich for later. Never enforced but a little off for me
6 / 10
Tivoli ideally situated being close to town centre and the marina.
Rooms were spacious and a bit above average.
Breakfast was good
Interesting internal design of public areas which was pleasing to the eye.
Outside, the hotel had no kerb appeal. All the walls were dirty and had not been
painted for many years. There was massive settlement cracks in the tiles around the pool. However, the pool was clean. The outside of the hotel in need of a good refurb.

Great location, excellent facilities and very welcoming staff.

Very clean and comfortable with friendly and helpful staff. Food excellent. Would stay again

Whilst the hotel is a little tired, it is in an amazing location just a short walk from the town centre. The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff were superb. Great breakfast with huge selection
8 / 10
The Tivoli is a great hotel, its location makes it really easy to explore Lagos, it was an easy walk to the marina and the bars and restaurants in the main centre were a 10 min walk. The facilities in the hotel are great as well as a decent sized pool and out door sunbathing area. The rooms are a little dated but are clean, with air-conditioning and a small shower. Overall a good hotel and the staff are very helpful.

A word of praise for all of our pre arranged taxi/pickup staff. Always prompt and very helpful.

Hotel in a very good area for bars and restaurants which was great for my group

A very nice stay. great location central to the old town about an 8-10 minute walk. Clean rooms. The layout of the hotel over several floors can be a little confusing and if you have mobility issues ask for an easy access room.I would return and use again.

Unfortunately this hotel wasn't to our liking. It looks very tired and needs refreshing.

Good central hotel for accessing the town.
Very quiet I assume due to time of the year

Superb hotel
8 / 10
Good value with vey good breakfast buffet, modernised, clean, bathrooms and comfortable beds. Many (but not all) of the staff, although efficient and courteous, seemed demoralised and glum. Consistently friendly engagement with guests by all staff would make a huge difference to the ambience.
8 / 10
A nice hotel situated in a back street but only a few minutes walk from the marina and the old town. The room was comfortable and well equipped and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The staff were friendly and helpful and there was some form of entertainment in the bar area most nights.

Disappointing coffee, not what we expect in Portugal! Staff and accommodation were great.
8 / 10
Rooms refurbished recently with nice big walk-in showers and comfortable beds and free electronic safe.
Good location bars and restaurants in walking distance.
8 / 10
Very comfortable, bedrooms a good size and well furnished, excellent shower, breakfast wide and varied choice of good quality, nice pool area, very well situated for restaurants and bars
8 / 10
Overall, the hotel was great, once you got used to the odd layout. The rooms we had were small and nothing to write home about, but the beds were comfortable and we spent little time in them. In the town so handy for bars and restaurants. Lovely round the pool and the breakfasts which were the only meals we had there were legendary.

3rd year at this hotel as usual fabulous location perfect for all as we have 4 ladies who are non golfers. Lovely restaurants all within walking distance.

Great spot and will be back. Staff are great too.

Ideal location for several good golf courses and restaurants in the town.
6 / 10
The hotel was a little more "tired" than I expected. Our room (1311) was ok although shower only and no bath. The wardrobe was oddly located by the entrance to the room and not the room itself.
6 / 10
Poor quality rooms. Too many steps.
8 / 10
Excellent venue for Lagos area golf; good location for pubs and food. Best thing is only twenty minutes transfers to a majority of the courses.

It was our second stay at the hotel. It had been refurbished over last winter and showed. Excellent showers and comfortable rooms.

This is definitely not a four star hotel as billed but an old hotel 3 star badly in need of a revamp. Most of our party of 22 were put in very old rooms which were quite a trek up and down different flights of stairs and some distance from the lobby. These rooms had not been redone and were dark, small and worn. Housekeeping missed cleaning them on quite a few days. Staff informed us they had begun a refurbishment of some rooms but we were not told of this or offered a choice on booking despite having booked a year in advance when surely a better choice of rooms should have been allocated to our group! Breakfast, bars and staff all good and helped to compensate somewhat for the poor bedrooms and scruffy pool area.
8 / 10
Very good hotel with good leisure facilities. Clean and tidy. 300 yds from centre. Good bars on the doorstep.
All golf transfers very good and on time.
6 / 10
Room could do whit some improvement.

Overall all this accommodation was very good. Friendly staff, Wifi worked in rooms & breakfast was good. Our room was slightly dark but facilities were good too.
8 / 10
Rooms were ok, service was pretty good, pool area was good, location was good. Yes I would go back!
8 / 10
The hotel Tivoli Lagos was an adequate hotel for our party of golfers, convenient for local restaurant's and bars, good breakfast, rooms clean and tidy although the hotel is looking a bit tired.
