Designed in 1927 by James Braid, the course is stretched through the magnificent beeches of Belleisle Park, and is a genuine test of golf. The parkland course's main characteristic is a succession of long par-4s, often demanding safe negotiation of the serpentine-like Curtecan Burn.
Only two par-4s are below 400 yards, and with gems like the short 17th, there is no excuse for missing Belleisle. It may not have the reputation of its neighbours in Troon and Turnberry, but the fact that many professionals choose to come to Belleisle to hone their skills here is testament to the course's quality.

Belleville Park was the final game of our trip and the most enjoyable. Parkland style with some long holes, good layout, greens in good condition, would definitely return.

We had a great time at Belleisle. An ideal first day experience on our tour - course in good condition and greens too but not too difficult. Accuracy of the tee and well struck approaches to greens were well rewarded

Turned out that the course was not a private members club so was always very busy. It was still in acceptable condition but bar facilities were very basic.

A bit wet underfoot. Would love to play it in the summer.
