The Casa Velha dining room is an elegant dining room, where you will enjoy a sumptuous meal in the candlelight. The clubhouse restaurant is the place for a light meal or a drink, while the Garden Tea House is famed for its delectable cakes and pastries.

A delightful, very friendly small hotel. Great breakfasts, good but pricey a la carte (but it is Michelin starred). Frequent shuttles to the golf club (5 minutes) and Funchal town. Lovely gardens and spa.

We had a great stay. Rating fir value fir money is because golf and room was bundled together in our booking - so cannot disaggregate. But little touches - fresh towels, turn down service, surprise on departure- were excellent.

Excellent hotel more like a country house however if you are expecting entertainment and activity it’s not available This is a great place for tranquility and superb food
