Santo da Serra Golf Club is the home of the Madeira Open, a fully sanctioned European Tour event. From its location high above the Machico Bay, you will enjoy magnificent views of the rocky Atlantic coastline, making Santo da Serra one of the most spectacular courses in Europe.

Santo da Serra was recently ranked among the "Rolex World's Top 1000 Golf courses" and among the top 10 of Portugal.

Santo da Serra Golf

The club has three loops, making up 27 holes, all of which were designed by Robert Trent Jones, and the predominant characteristic is the severity of the putting surfaces. From the tees the fairways are relatively generous, but the greens are small, and their considerable slopes make putting extremely tricky.

Having hosted the Madeira Open every year since 1993, Santa da Serra's stock is continuing to rise, and is an essential part of any good golfing holiday to Madeira.
