The hotel also has a very iconic 800-year old Cave Bar. The prestigious Whisky Magazine awarded it Best Hotel Bar of the Year for Scotland which shortlisted the bar for a Global Icon award for Best Hotel Bar in the World which it won in March 2019 against bars in Shanghai, Sydney, New Orleans and Ireland.
For dining there are 3 options.
1236 in the award-winning Cave Bar is open daily, serving Brunch, Lunch and Dinner, it is informal and social plate dining, inspired by ingredients that are local to the hotel.
Guests can dine in the Pineapple Grill & Seafood between Wednesday to Saturday, 6pm to 9pm. Offering a relaxed and informal dining experience with the focus on fish and beef using some of the best local and trusted suppliers in Aberdeenshire.
Another option is the private dining domes which have been named after the stars and moon and have stunning views across the estate and golf course. Carefully thought out, the atmospheric domes have wooden flooring and tailor-made furniture decked out with beautiful lantern lamps. A Bluetooth music system is installed in each, allowing guests to wire in their own surround sound music choice.
Each dome has a ‘Jet Focus Control’ to warm or cool the domes dependent on the Scottish season. Diners access the domes from a private door, following a lit stone path onto the lawns. CASTOR holds up to 6 people, LUNA holds up to 8 people, AURORA holds up to 12 people, SIRIUS up to 12 people.
For drinks there is the 800-year old Cave Bar and a current holder of Whisky Magazine’s Global Icon Hotel Bar of the Year award. Here you will find over 120 whiskies, our Whisky Club room, cocktails, beer on draft, and an extensive spirits and wine list.
The Titan Sky Bar dome, measuring 10 metres in diameter, has the capacity for up to 40 people at stylish cocktail tables or up to 32 guests as an event space in a horseshoe shape table. The Titan Sky Bar operates as bar from Friday to Sunday and as private dining from Monday to Thursday.
