Pannal Golf Club was originally founded in 1906 and was opened as a nine hole golf course to start with. The full 18 holes were then opened in 1908 and the first game to take place on this golf course was between James Braid and Harry Vardon and was watched by some 500 spectators. Since then the golf club has gone from strength to strength now boasting a 6404 yard 18 hole golf course. The club also offers a beautiful clubs house, indoor golf studio with a simulator and is regarded as one of the finest golf clubs to play in the Yorkshire area.

You can enjoy all that Pannal has to offer in one of our Yorkshire Tour packages and is one venue that should be on your list of golf courses to play.

Pannal Golf Club

Revisions to the original design were made by Alister MacKenzie, and Pannal's parkland course remains largely untouched since. The course hosts Open Championship regional qualifying events, which are a testament to its quality.

The gentle undulations of the North Yorkshire countryside set the scene for the splendid layout, which measures 6,622 yards at its full length. This is not the longest for a modern tournament venue, but the design is subtle and varied, ensuring that every facet of the game is tested thoroughly.

During your golf tour in historic York or even north Yorkshire, be sure you and your guests make a visit to the charming and welcoming Pannal Golf Club as this is one golf course you will want to play.
