Pennard Golf Club, known by many as “The Links in the Sky”, is a magnificent links course founded in 1896, set on the Gower Peninsula, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Enjoy breathtaking views over Three Cliffs Bay and Oxwich as you play this classic, rugged layout perched 200 feet above sea level. The course features natural undulations, dunes and well-placed bunkers, with free-draining ground playable year-round.

Visitors are warmly welcomed to experience the golf course with excellent facilities including long and short practice ranges, a fully stocked Pro Shop and a friendly Bar & Restaurant. Pennard's staff and members take pride in offering an inclusive, genuine Welsh welcome.

Though just 8 miles from the centre of Swansea, Pennard's idyllic setting gives golfers a glorious sense of isolation and is the perfect backdrop for an ancient links of outstanding quality.

Pennard Golf Club

Established in 1896, Pennard owes thanks to its creators James Braid and C.K. Cotton, whose legacy is a links layout that traverses the humps, hillocks, mounds and hollows of the amazing landscape. Pennard, unlike many seaside courses, is not located immediately on the shoreline, rather it is perched on the cliff top, some 200 feet above the sea. This position makes it truly unique, providing incredible views.

Pennard is among Wales' finest, and carries a strong contingent of admirers; if spectacular seaside golf appeals, then make sure Pennard should be high on the list.

Pennard Golf Club is ranked as one of the best courses in Wales

Whilst Marshall’s were seen driving around during the round they did nothing to speed up play but rather have a chat with the members playing instead

A lovely course with some stunning views. My party seemed to enjoy it more than Porthcawl as while still very challenging the rough was a lot more forgiving and the lost ball count much lower. Again we saw that it’s best in glorious sunshine which made for another memorable days golf.

Top course really hard, the 17th is the hardest hole I’ve played! The only think that lets it down is the club house for a top course it wasn’t anything special

Really excellent course, despite the very rainy weather preceding our round the course was in excellent condition. Much better than Royal Porthcawl. Great views on the course, interesting undulations and features around the course.

Great welcome in the club house and pro shop. There are a lot of rabbits on the course and sadly they have done a lot of damage which means balls disappear down the rabbit holes! The views are absolutely stunning, so even if you aren't playing your best you can enjoy the scenery

Superb links test made more difficult by windy conditions. Great links turf that rewarded good ball striking. Excellent service in the clubhouse too.

A great course, the first nine was very good, and then the back nine was twice as hard, sloping and hard fairways meant for a very unforgiving result in a lot of places - but an entertaining course, and one to remember!

Course work being done so the greens were not as they should have been but we were informed of this prior to the visit. Most holes were a tee at one end and a green at the other with trouble in between! A true links course

The "Links in the Sky" lived up to its billing. Fantastic greens, very fast and some really interesting holes. However, a lot of blind shots so difficult if you have not played the course before. Perhaps because of this the round was painfully slow with waits on every tee and a near 6 hour round in total. Wonderful course though.

Great links golf course that was (in the very strong wind) a tough golf course. The course between holes was fine as it was well sign posted, but the course could have benefited in having more clear indications of where to hit the ball from the tee as it was not always obvious. The greens had been over seeded so a little slow, but ran true. Well worth playing and I would return and play again if in the area.

Interesting and challenging course - particularly when it is pouring down with rain ( as we experienced !!) . The course is on common land with cows and numerous public footpaths .Greens protected and were good . Fairways not in great condition and in hindsight our group of 12 would have played preferred lies.

A stunning course "the links in the sky" was very exposed to the strong winds evident on the day. We had a late start due to a Open competition being held (we had been warned) and with a lot of blind holes with marker posts we only just made it in the light. Every green was surrounded by low level cheese wire to keep animals off the greens which was very difficult to see. The greens were very fast and true but a number of fairways are still in recovery mode.
