The Players Golf Club is probably the most accessible Club in the Bristol area sitting just a mile from the M4 motorway and less than 30 minutes from the centre of Bristol.

The Club is the perfect place to visit for any golf fanatic with two 18 hole courses, a par 3 course and practice facilities any club would be envious of. The feature course, The Codrington Course, has played host to many professional events and is a true test for any golfer which you may have seen on Sky Television. The Stranahan Course, is the perfect partner which plays slightly shorter but will test your positional play.

You could easily pop in for a bucket of balls, some lunch or spend a few days here and not get bored. A must on any golfing visit to Bristol.

Built to the highest specifications, the Players Club was commissioned with the intent to create a course that would test the mettle of even the finest golfer. With this in mind, the course measures an astonishing 7,600 yards from the championship markers, and features a 4,000 yard front nine, rivalled only in the UK by Dalmahoy's East Course.

Architect Adrian Stiff has succeeded in completing a remarkable course, which is reminiscent in many ways of the classic resort courses native to Florida, with enormous, sweeping greens that are protected by massive bunkers and water hazards. The trademark railway sleepers are bordered by woodland, gorse and heather, and there are a number of hugely dramatic and challenging holes.

The Players is maintained in good condition thanks to its state-of-the-art irrigation system, so if you feel brave enough, tackle the monster Players Club during your next Bristol golf tour.
