The building is tired - in need of a makeover. Breakfast dining is smelly and unclean

wonderful stay. loved the Jameson Bar. hotel staff were kind and helpful.

Hotel is dated and very expensive in my opinion

Golf trip for 12 lads, the accommodation was exactly what was required.

Hotel staff great, Joe at the reception was really helpful and pleasant to deal with. A stunning golf course also on the doorstep. We will be back.

The hotel is super,the location great, the atmosphere in the bar superbe, You must choose a room with a sea view, or on the golf course.

Nice hotel, rooms didn't have air con but otherwise fine. Bar was okay but took long time to get served due to lack of staff.

4 hour round and a great test of golf - Lovely touch from them supplying with course planner and scorecard holder book. Allowed us to play off the whites

We played five different courses during our week in Ireland. Portmarnock was my favorite course. So beautiful setting and nice layout. 5 stars.

This is a beautiful golf course and one of the best club houses I’ve ever been in. Excellent service by everyone.

could do with more work to tidy up parts of the course

Absolutely superb course with awesome facilities. Built on the Jameson Whisky owners estate you get a great intro to the course and surroundings by Steven “the rock” Craig that sets the day up nicely. The course itself is a true links course and the greens are slick and undulating which provide a stern test. The dunes are very high which really effect the wind and you’ve got to plot your way not just grip and rip. My personal favourite of the three courses we played on our trip. If playing here look at Portmarnock Old, The Island, and the several others in the surround would be my advice.

Fantastic course well worth playing

arrived at portmarnock golf links and went into the pro shop, gave the gentleman my name and our tee time which we thought was 12.10 as i had not received any other info saying that this had changed. however the gentleman informed us that our tee time actually wasn't until 1pm. The speed of play was too slow we were waiting at every hole, and we didn't even get to finish our round as it was dark around 12 holes. pretty disappointed as had we known our tee time was so late we probably would not have booked to play. other than that what we seen and played of the golf course was lovely.

It's not a bad course layout with quite a few interesting "Risk and Reward" Holes. Greens weren't in great condition considering the time of year and we were a bit unlucky as the fairways and run off areas had recently been Verticut.

A lot of bunkers.!!! Very long! Super golf.

Excellent golf course which was in great condition for the time of year. Greens were running very true. Very good test of golf with some very memorable holes.

Very tricky and hard course but really enjoyed it!
