Really great course, we booked this as the "Quality course" on our trip and it did not disappoint. Would come back again if it was not so far away.

Very slow I think they should spread the tee times a little to maybe 12 mins

A real gem. Course in stunning condition. Rough long but not thick. Initially flat but then into the dunes for the finish which are a real challenge especially with a cross wind. Really fantastic course and would definitely play again

Another mix of parkland and links, this course was hard for most. The most agreed on critique was that the 1st 12 holes all felt a bit similar, very little variation. The last six were tough but enjoyable.

Fantastic course lived up to its reputation.

This was a full on links experience with the course penalising you for any stray shots off the fairway. This was a testing course in windy conditions, with the difficulty ramping up towards the end of the round. The course was in great condition and the greens were quick and true. As you tee off on the first from the clubhouse you have a great view of the castle behind you, then as you play round in to the sand dunes on the back nine. A brilliant experience had by all and a lovely clubhouse with very friendly staff.

Fantastic course in an amazing setting. The scenery is great with great views of the castle from all over the course. It’s a stern test of golf with a really tough finish. It’s worth investing in a course guide!

Fantastic course, my favourite in the area. Slow because of groups ahead but did not spoil the game.

One of the best courses I have ever played!

Stunning location surround by snowdonia , castle and the dunes. The front nine plays like a flat heathland course and the views really make it . Later holes within the dunes 14,15,16 far more interesting and harder which I played much better . Wind was gusty though manageable. As a course its good but perhaps a little overrated as its the location that makes it stand out . Aberdovey is a better course in my opinion.

We had a fabulous day at Royal St Davids, the course is fabulous and a real challenge especially against the wind but especially the last 6 holes which will test golfers of all ability. The greens were slower than we thought they would be, but given the time of year, was to be expected. The club pro was very helpful as were the bar staff. Overall we had a fabulous round of golf before our long drive home.

Fantastic track, greens in great condition, amazing clubhouse with a lot of history, best course out of Nefyn and Portmadog, which were both great

All 4 of us absolutely loved it

Fantastic experience for our first time playing RSD. Played on 4th November and was expecting wet weather conditions however the quality of the course was fantastic. Greens were excellent considering they were recently trated. Fairways were better than some greens we played the days before. Speed of play we had issues initially with some other guests hitting balls into us ( one ball landed on tee box as we were teeing off ..and no FOUR or apology ). They slowed down a little after some choice words were had. Would recommend playing this course to anyone and would love to go back on a sunny Summers day.

Absolutely amazing course, nothing much left to say after that. Unfortunate timing that some greens had recently had some maintenance work carried out but didn’t detract from our experience.

A links course with beautiful panoramic views. Royal St David's is always worth a visit by golfers who like a challenge. If the golf is not going too well, enjoy the scenery.

Well we played in horizontal rains and 25mph winds so quite challenging. Par 3 with Drivers and wedges going 160 yards downwind. Absolutely loved it

Great golf course!

It was raining when we arrived for our tee time, but the pro shop was able to accommodate us with a later slot. The course was challenging but fair. It was the best of the three courses we played.

Great course and location. Met all expectations

Enjoyed the course, some great holes, great views as the castle overlooked the course. Rough was very tough though, if you missed the fairway generally you lost your ball. Greens were a little slow.

One of the best courses I’ve ever played (and I’ve played some good ones… Valderrama, Monterei, Royal Lytham, Birkdale….) Royal St. David’s is the one I would play forever…

What a superb course and pleasure and privilege to play. Made very welcome in both front of house and the Pro shop. The course is certainly a fair test and a test it is. This course has everything, length on the par 4's, undulating greens, blind shots, hidden traps and oh the wind. Brilliant course and one I would certainly recommend.

Wow. An absolute stunning golf course. Worth every penny to play. One of my favourite courses I’ve played as a professional and the group agreed with how good the course was. Great facilities also and a fantastic place to practice too. Will return asap when I get the chance.

Good course and lovely greens. Quite a few blind shots so I'd advise either a course planner or GPS with graphics. If you are a little wayward then the rough will destroy you. My own opinion is that it's far too penal but keep it straight and you're fine.

Toughest course of the 3 we played but a true true test of links golf. Some amazing holes!

Fantastic course with views of Harlech castle and snowdonia. Some challenging holes, lots of places to lose your ball. Got a bit held up by a goup in front for the last few holes, but gave us chance to take into the views at least.

Toughest of the three courses,although the pace of play was good. Food and service excellent, members friendly, green staff very helpful and courteous.

Great course , would definitely play again

By far the best course in the area. Everyone of the 12 in my party can't wait to play it again. Friendly staff and professional. Great bar food to finish.

Spectacular course, great mix of holes, very tough par 3's, expensive but worth it.

A real highlight is holes 15-18 love links set up and challenges.

A real challenge, excellent course architecture with bunkers lurking everywhere to catch any shots offline. A tough course but a great test that gets better after the first 3 holes. Excellent course overall

Love this golf course its a real challenge. The greens had been recently scarified but still rolled well. Overall a great course.

A little surprised by how poor the greens were at St Davids & some of the fairways were very patchy. Its a great layout & really challenging in the dunes on the back 9. A little frustrating that we could only get a late tee time, yet when we turned up at the course we were able to get away almost 2 hours earlier - why not declare that up front to allow a better planned weekend..?

The best of the three courses - excellent condition and superb layout. The back nine was particularly engaging and it provided a great finale to an excellent trip. Members and staff could not have made us more welcome. Staff even stayed on longer so we could enjoy a snack before heading home.

Much over rated - weeds in bunkers, average greens, no view of the sea, featureless.

A little uninspiring until the get to the last third of the course. The view of the castle is great but many of the early holes are a bit samey. When you finally get into the dunes, there are some very challenging holes. Of the three courses we played, this is perhaps the one we would look to change. Extremely slow round.

The highlight of our trip, fantastic course in great condition.

We were a bit disappointed with this course. It seemed to fall a bit flat . Front nine was mediocre at best. It did improve towards the end but we won’t rush to play it again!

We could see what a great course this could be but it wasn't in the best condition. Greens were pretty patchy and fairways quite burnt. We had inclement weather which maybe colours our judgment a bit. For the green fee, it was not very good value compared to other courses we played on this trip

Fantastic course with some of the most challenging holes I’ve ever played, but the course and facilities are looking very tired. The chipping area was poorly maintained. The practice putting green was in a poor condition and that didn’t change on the course. Although the greens rolled very well their condition was very poor and not what we expected from a course with this pedigree and history. Felt like a golf club in decline.

Played in 40 MPH winds in lashing rain the back nine which was extremely difficult in the conditions as we played off the BLUE tees.

This golf course is incredible. A beautifully manicured course nestled into the natural contours of the land. Many holes resemble oases between the dunes. One of the best I've played, and I have been fortunate to play many that host the British Open. If you get the chance to play Harlech, do!! Thanks to Harry and YGT also for putting this package together.. 👍⛳

Great test of links golf, was in Suberin condition from 1st tee to 18th green. Best I’ve ever seen it.

Great course great staff if youre in north wales its an absolute must!!!

Every single fairway and every single bunker was flooded, not just the odd puddle but massive lakes everywhere and the course should have been closed, charging £85 green fee it was a joke and ruined our experience of what they rate as one of Wales' premier courses.

Greens were slow Some fairways had still not recovered from last summers drought & preferred lies were in place as a result

Fantastic trip to North Wales. Played Royal St David’s, difficult course but stunning links golf, followed by Nefyn & District, the point was spectacular and Course was in great condition, an experience not to be missed. The final day was at Porthmadog and again the course was in good shape with the greens in excellent condition A contrast of heathland/Parkland on the front 9 followed by good links golf on the back 9. All the clubs were very welcoming from the pro shops to the clubhouse and the Lion Hotel in Cricceith was friendly, helpful and perfectly situated for the stay. The weather was perfect, sunshine ☀️ and gentle breeze throughout, this topped off a fantastic North Wales Golfing experience. Thank you Jack at your golf travel for organising and booking the great weather to go with the amazing golf.

One of Wales more prestigious courses with Harlech Castle towering over the course. A good links course, not particularly difficult with longish par 4s. A very enjoyable course but compared to the other 3 courses we played we thought the green fees were excessive

Played on a calm day but you can see the last few holes have teeth. Plenty of birdies out there but would be a tough test with the rough up.

Great course, we played 2 rounds and had lunch in 7 hours as a 2 ball. A lot of excellent holes and quite demanding with a strong wind blowing.

Really enjoyed. A fair test of golf. With the Castle in the background.
