Trent Jones Junior was commissioned to create a masterpiece, whilst retaining the original character of the land; as such, the ravines and the traditional coral quarry have been worked into the layout to create some truly fascinating holes.
Among Royal Westmoreland's innumerable admirers is Ian Woosnam, US Masters champion, Ryder Cup captain and local home owner, who is particularly fond of the short holes. The 5th and 6th are special, while the 12th is the dramatic signature hole, with a small green flanked dangerously by a ravine.
From the elegant clubhouse, visiting golfers will enjoy views all the way to the turquoise waters of the Caribbean from this tropical gem of a course. Trent Jones Junior loves Royal Westmoreland because it demands every club in the bag, so being creative is essential.
Royal Westmoreland is ranked as one of the best courses in the Caribbean

Always excellent, friendly attentive staff, beautiful location, fantastic and challenging course. Of course it’s expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Self catering. A hire car allowed us to go to the local supermarket which was very good but expensive compared to UK. The food at the resort was excellent.

This was a more challenging course, Par 3's are strong. Wind was up on the day and it made golf interesting. Shop staff & starter were friendly. The Tuck shop which Iwe didn't use appeared to cause issues as many golfers complained about delays prior to the start of the round. One person was trying to cater for everything, extra staff would solve the issue. This was my favourite course of the trip

A beautiful and challenging course which was by far the best that we played due to the variety of holes and the overall condition. Like Sandy Lane the greens were fast but sandy so difficult to read pace and slope. The holes presented a range of challenges and a variety of terrain and slope (especially the par 3 which involved disused quarries) which made it the most interesting of all the courses. The clubhouse and changing facilities were very smart and of the two high class courses we played, this one was by far the favourite. However, we enjoyed playing both top end and lower end course during the holiday.

Most rounds were quick 3.5 hours. 2 were 4 hours behind a four ball. Being an RTJ course the short holes were fabulous but challenging. A course you would never tire of playing.

"golfers course" and "tight" compared to sandy Lane Country. My HDC is 16 (fair weather golfer) and it was tough going. 27pts. nice, tight, very scenic course. only downside is "it felt like a members course" and didnt feel as welcome as i did Sandy Lane.... "alien??" but is a course you need to return to as course knowledge is KEY *try to write a review that would be useful
