Porto Santo Golfe is just a 15-minute plane ride away from Madeira, or a 90-minute flight from Lisbon, set along the coastline of the idyllic island of Porto Santo with stunning views out over the Atlantic.

The Severiano Ballesteros designed golf course opened in 2004 and blends harmoniously with the local landscape. The layout is extremely natural, respecting the existing ecosystems whilst integrating the local plants and existing lakes.

The course is located on the smallest inhabited island in the Madeira Archipelago, but unlike Madeira, Porto Santo, which means “blessed port”, has a 9km golden sandy beach and provides year-round golf in a temperate mild climate.

Porto Santo Golf Course

The golf course boasts two distinctive loops of nine holes and is a challenge to golfers of all abilities.

The South course is American in style, dotted with lakes, requiring a long and precise game while the North course is played on top of the fantastic cliffs and has all the best ingredients of a British links. Among the most stunning holes are the 13, 14 and 15 set just by the cliff edge, offering dramatic sea views.

Porto Santo also has a Par 3 'pitch-and-putt' course, ideal for training precision shots.

The Clubhouse is in perfect harmony with its surrounding environment, due to the great care taken in the design and construction of the building. It includes a restaurant with panoramic views of the island and the sea. On the enormous veranda you can taste the local specialities and have a drink whilst enjoying the superb view.

What better way to end a challenging game of golf than to recover your energies at the Clubhouse. The luxurious facilities include large changing rooms and a Golf Shop offering a wide range of products. The Driving Range is among the most complete in Europe, with 35 bays and stretching out for 300 meters. Training facilities also include a complete putting and chipping green.
