Te Arai Links North Course designed by Tom Doak is considered to be one of the world's best new golf courses. Located just metres from the stunning New Zealand coastline, The North Course meanders through mature forests, dramatic dunes and memorable ocean vistas.
Arguably the harder of the two golf courses at Te Arai Links, The North utilises its natural landscape to create amazing putting surfaces which will challenge even the best putter.
Golfers heading here on a golf holiday in New Zealand are spoilt for choice with the likes of Kauri Cliffs, Waipu, Tara Iti and Titirangi all within striking distance of a stay at Te Arai Links.

With countless stand-out holes on The North Course, a round here will be sure to feature within any golfer's top golf courses.
Expect elevated tee-shots, subtle slopes running into greens and some of the most impressive green complexes you'll experience anywhere in the world.
With a feeling of Pine Valley, Pinehurst or Terras da Comportas when you're playing through the pine trees, the course has stretches that feel almost heathland with Hankley Common Golf Club on the 12th, 13th and 14th holes. Rarely has a golf course been able to gain such recognition in such a small period.
There are many memorable holes here but the closing stretch of 16, 17 and 18 are fantastic closing holes. The par-3 17th is one of the best short holes anywhere in the world. Hitting towards Little Barrier, club selection is key with anything falling short or left leaving little chance of getting up and down. The par-5 18th hole dog legs around the beach with the line off the tee being key, make sure you aim further left than you think with anything right of the fairway making an impossible place to make a par.
The halfway hut is a joy with a superb menu and a good spot to watch golfers playing the course. Be sure to spend some time here during your round.
