The Montgomerie Marrakech stretches across 63 acres of land with the Altas mountins as its breathtaking backdrop. The course winds its way through the impressive residential areas of Marrakech Golf City and amounts to just under 6,900 yards. Designed to be playable for all with wide playing areas, but still challenging, with undulating greens defended by numerous run-off areas, the course is one which can provide enjoyment to all standards of golfers depending on which tees you choose to play from. The site also features extensive practice facilities and a state-of-the-art clubhouse facing the 18th green. No stone has been left unturned in the creation of The Montgomerie Marrakech, making the course a must visit on your golf holiday to Morocco.

I don’t know why this course was recommended. It was directly under the flight path and had a plane taking off and landing every 10/15 minutes. The course was poorly maintained and part of it was like playing in a shanty town and looked abandoned and not sure why it was recommended in our package x the club house and toilets were not good.

This was the least popular of our trip. Few people were playing it. Condition of all elements of the course were not great - the layout was good and possibly we caught it on a bad day. On arrival it was a little like the Marie Celeste - the only course we were not provided with a bottle of water

Basically had the course to ourselves, and loved every minute. The greens were immaculate! Fairways were a bit longer but assuming that’s normal for this time of year to protect against the heat. Again saw people complaining about how close it is to the airport and rubble being around etc but realistically you are in Africa, what do you expect!! We loved it

Another great course. Well maintained and in great condition. Really enjoyed playing this round, so much so we went back and played again on our rest day. Some great holes and a fabulous welcome. Facilities were great and the place looked and felt brand new. The lunch was reasonably priced and a great choice. Practice area was adequate, if not the same standard as Royal Marakesh. Definately recommend.

There is a little effort to keep the course in shape. Buggies are total crap, the first one ran out of battery after 7 holes. We had problems at the reception because they did not find our booking. There is a good restaurant connected. I urge you to look into this, there are possibilities but seems that noone cares. A lot of construction around, fencing is questionable.

Very disappointing condition of course, tee box’s needed work, no definition of fair ways etc very disappointing compared to other Montgomerie around the world.

Good layout but tired and need of attention - bunkers no sand which seemed a little ironic in a desert. Nice bar etc after golf

Very near airport so planes flying low to land Was the least favourite of courses played but still ok

Friendly reception at pro shop. We got out early as course was quiet. Initial impression from 1st tee not great as there were a few dog walkers and a couple of strays roaming about, but once underway no further problem. Course in excellent condition and greens testing both in speed and breaks. Lovely water features at various holes added to the visual appeal. Although we were happy to walk the course does suit a buggy as some lengthy walks from greens to tee. Direction signage could be better There are a couple of holes where there is major apartment complexes being built, although it does not interfere with course it slightly spoils the backdrop. Clubhouse is spectacular and offers excellent hospitality.

Tired facility with little greenery outside of the fairways. Constant flow of aircraft flying overhead. Empty chalets around the course which look like they have been that way for a fair time. My advice would be to take a piece of Astro grass to save you clubs for each shot laden from the lunar landscape.

This is an average course with a good clubhouse. Having said that we had a great day with a personal welcome from the course manager who also bought local refreshments and water out to us whilst on the course. Great hospitality. Thanks.

Course was the most interesting, but let down by “shabbiness” animal waste as close to habitation constantly, manager effusive, and so pleased we had come despite earthquake problems.

Typical Spanish/Portuguese golf resort. Greens very poor and many similar holes

Great layout and in good condition but compared to other courses played this needs a bit of tlc. The restaurant was excellent and they served ice cold draught beer. Rating 8/10

We did enjoy the course overall. However, the golf club had very few people playing and there were not many staff on site. For example we could not get into the changing rooms but no problem with drinks post playing. One problem was a “pack of six wild dogs” that we encountered on the eighth hole. They did follow us, barking and generally worrying/scaring us. Post playing I did mention this to the green/course staff but they were somewhat disinterested although there were some language difficulties.

Almost ‘millionaires golf’ on a Saturday morning ....... quiet, relaxed and enjoyable round. A very ‘playable’ course, ideal holiday golf.

Not a bad word to say, a tough course but great fun and interesting. Staff were friendly and restaurant specialises in delicious burgers. Bunkers aren't great but that's just the way in Morocco I think.

Harder course than the Tony Jacklin one but still in great condition - greens had much more slopes and hence speed was faster.

Quite a boring layout. Nothing outstanding in terms of the design. Would be unlikely to be keen to play again. The round was marred by heavy rain!! Check in at pro shop & with caddy master good.
