Opened in 1927, Royal Marrakech was subsequently reworked by Open Champion Arnaud Massy in 1933, and is a real gem. The course design has a distinct British accent, yet its surroundings are far removed from home shores; banks of cypress, eucalyptus, palm, olive, orange and apricot trees ensure that your round will be enjoyed in the most spectacular environment.
The tall trees are supported by a procession of strategically positioned bunkers, ensuring that the fair but challenging test is assured. Easily reached from the hub of the city centre, Royal Marrakech comes highly recommended for as part of any golf escape to sunny Morocco. Famous names to have enjoyed Royal Marrakech include Winston Churchill, Ike Eisenhower and David Lloyd George.
Golf enthusiasts can also indulge in cutting-edge practice amenities, such as a complimentary driving range, a designated area for honing short game skills, and three well-maintained putting greens. Additionally, there is a newly acquired fleet of buggies equipped with GPS technology. The clubhouse at Royal Golf Marrakech offers a refined and comfortable atmosphere for unwinding and socializing. It boasts a restaurant that serves exquisite cuisine and a pro shop that is stocked with the latest golf equipment and apparel. Whether you are an experienced golfer or a novice, Royal Golf Marrakech guarantees a top-notch golfing experience amidst the awe-inspiring backdrop of Morocco.

A colonial feel to the club. Great practice facilities ( free balls) course in good condition. Holes were quite similar in style however still challenging enough. I consider the mandatory use of a caddy a bit over the top but rules are rules. A good experience

Best course of the 4 we’ve played in Marrakesh so far. Greens were immaculate. Some bunkers had hard packed sand but the week before we went they had had heavy rain for the week. Mandatory caddy was fantastic- friendly and helpful despite being an extra £25 pushing up the price. Like any club drinks afterwards are expensive.

Unfortunately Marrakesh had experienced very heavy rain the day before we played and it was raining just after we started. However we had a great time and enjoyed the round. Having 4 players and caddies on the greens together is bit much at times. We only had drinks in the lovely colonial clubhouse. Its a fantastic place overall

The club house, practice facilities etc. are top notch and have an exclusive feel. But the course itself doesn't match the posh vibe. In relatively poor condition in places, especially t-boxes, quality of landscaping. It was still fun so this is not really a complaint.

This is a good course though some of the greens were ropey! You have to take a caddy and he was brilliant at giving really good advice to my partner who is a high handicapper. We endured heavy rain, and even though I was onto a good score we had to call it a day after 11 holes as we were being held up and the fairways and greens were collecting water. The birdie at the aptly named Brigitte Bardot par three ninth, on the day she passed, will be long remembered especially as I like many others had her poster on my wall in the days of my youth!! Because we were wet, we sat at the bar and had a great time chatting to the servers who were great fun, as I was trying to convince them how they were unlucky to have Scotland in their World Cup Group! (Not sure I convinced myself either!)

Well a top place and very nicely looked after course. Shorter but narrower but would not be out of place for all HC levels Lovely mature tree-lines fairways a joy. So impressed we went right back into the pro shop and booked again the following day ! New course 9 holes not as good as old course but it’s a high standard to live up up Excellent drinks after - decent wine and great staff service lovely setting All golfers should go here ! Will be back Pro shop merch was a bit steep - but no-one’s forcing you to buy anything ! Can also attract a few snobby visitors but it is the ‘royal’ course ! What do you expect ?

From narrow fairways to rapid greens, the course can be quite challenging, as amateur golfers we felt quite nervous having to have a caddie,He was a very nice person and an expert reader of the greens. But we got the impression he’d rather be elsewhere. Overall scores on the doors. 4 stars from us.

Didn't help that we had a sandstorm before teeing off. The wind was so bad that it blew everything onto the fairways and green. Abdul our caddy was fantastic. The only niggle was that our tee time on our your golf travel sheet was different to what the course had us down to play

Probably the easiest of the week, most of the holes are very similar not a great deal of variety, maybe except fot the 9th par3, where you play through a bunker. Overall it was an expensive place to vist €130 for a golf shirt, €6 for a ball marker and the restaurant and drinks are very expensive.Taking everything into account would not rush back.

Royal Golf Marrakech is one of the most historic and iconic golf courses in Morocco, offering both excellent golf and a rich setting. Marrakech Private Resort It offers 27 holes in total: an “Old Course” 18-hole par 72 and a newer 9-hole “Menara” course. Royal Golf Marrakech was our favourite including the appearance of deers on the course. The setting, vegetation and legacy all contribute to a strong experience.

Highlight of our trip - Stunning clubhouse, excellent mature course with tree lined fairways and wildlife in abundance. The warm up facilities are 1st class, We had a brilliant caddie - Aziz - who gave us a 4 hour golf lesson as he helped us round the course. Greens were immaculate, if a bit fragile to pitch marks. Bunkers were well kept . The buggies with GPS and course information on i pad screens, ice coolers and divet sand were the best we'd hired. A first class experience all round . Our trnasfer drivers were excellent throughout the trip - punctual and helpful .

An old established course weaving its way through tall trees. It is very pretty, and there are even small deer to keep you company. Several of the holes are a bit the same, and it can become a bit monotonous. The greens were poor, mainly due to a lot of footfall. Spike wearers were also tearing them up. Overall though it was an enjoyable round.

Very traditional colonial style course. Keep the ball straight and you'll be fine. It's tree lined so you can easily get into trouble if you hook it slice the ball! Course management is key. Bunkers well placed around the greens. Worth laying up then pitching on. Caddies are mandatory. We paid 300 Dirhams for our caddy, However he was worth every penny! Showed us the line of each putt and he was never wrong! Helpful without being over bearing. My favorite of the three we played. Lots of green staff around, taking bunkers and generally tidying areas of the course. All very friendly. Very peaceful surroundings and seeing deer was a bonus!

It’s a short course but you need to keep the ball straight or you are in trouble. Steeped in history and almost 100 years old so well worth a visit. Utterly disgusted at our experience here, this was as far as we were concerned the premium round on our itinerary and we didn't play the course, we played 9 holes on the new course and then were allowed to play the front 9 of the 18 hole course. We had no idea when we started if we would be playing the 9 holes again, or the front 9 or the back 9, so to then be greeted by a starter telling us we were late at the 1st tee of the old course really took some understanding. This was a massive disappointment, something I have emailed back to Your Golf Travel and have zero response on.

Beautiful setting and well organised. The club insists on you having a caddy but none were forthcoming so we played without one. Pretty course with plenty of wildlife in evidence. The only down side was the price of drinks in the clubhouse which was extortionate.

✓11 Oct 2025
Another lovely course to play on. Been around for nearly 100 years and this is beautiful to play on with palm tree lined holes. This course really is beautiful on the eye but really makes you consider your shot choice and course management. We couldn’t hire buggies (needs to be done in advance to have a chance) but we had some local caddies and they were very knowledgeable and friendly. This was probably our favourite course of our week.

Overall a pretty poor experience at the venue, over priced food and beer, unhelpful staff and no facility to get refreshments during the round even though we were told there would be a drinks cart on the course. Course looked aesthetically pleasing but not great. Had the feeling they did not want our party present. Finished the round and they said the bar was closed, took our beer order but still made us wait in the dark and when they finally came the sinks were warm. Would not visit again.

We had a great time at Royal Marrakesh. Clubhouse is fabulous and worth going along in time to use it pre/post match. The course was pretty flat and many tree lined holes. We played off the yellows, but did feel it was a bit short. Some of the par fours feel quite 'samey', but still very enjoyable. Greens were soft and slow, but ran true, so once you had the pace, putting was rewarding. We would go back and play, maybe off the longer tees. Mandatory fore caddy - this is no regrets with all the trees ! Only slight blip was some of our guys were coming in off a flight, and we ordered their food in advance (just club sandwiches). They arrived 30 mins before tee time (and 30 mins after we put their order in), however it took another 1 1/2 hours for the boxed sandwiches to be delivered to the guys out on the course.

My main problem is the enforcement of caddies we informed them we didn't want one and they chased us around the first two holes black mailing me overall stunning views but my experience was spoiled from the first hole won't be back there ever unless that changes being forced to pay 25 quid extra for a caddie that knows nothing about my game gave me no assistance in terms of where to position my shots and no green assistance whatsoever

This was a really nice course and very well looked after. However I would have enjoyed this a lot more if we wasn’t forced to pay for a caddy that we didn’t want. He was very nice and helpful but due to not being aware of this we didn’t have the cash to pay him and they wouldn’t take card. This lead to having to borrow money of the taxi driver and pay him back which meant we ended up tipping him cause he helped us out. Would love to play course again without the pressure of the caddy

✓13 Jun 2025
Great course. Superb Clubhouse and wonderful practice facilities combined with friendly and helpful staff make this a great place for 18 holes of golf in the ☀️. The only negative is you now have to have 1 caddy for each 4 ball. He was friendly enough and helped find wayward balls, cleaned clubs, raked bunkers but couldn't find read a putt at any price 😂 It spoilt some of our normal fun on the course and with the round already being one of the most expensive in Marrakech the additional cost for not much benefit would probably mean we will try alternative courses next year.

Great course, great welcome and the country club, colonial feel added to the experience. The facilities were top class. The course was well maintained and the greens in great condition. The sand in the bunkers was a little compacted and rough. But this seems the norm in Morrocco. The practise area was terrific there was no limit on the balls you used and the prcice greens mirrored the actual greens. Definately one to visit. But recommend the early tee time, the course was getting busy as the day progressed.

✓17 May 2025
The bar and dining area are excellent with plenty of tables and seating on the terrace. The practice facilities are excellent and very conveniently placed. As mid handicappers we chose to play off the yellow tees which gave us a good challenge. There are other choices for longer hitters. The greens were excellent also although we found it difficult to judge the pace. The bunkers had a very gritty sand which we found difficult to cope with. We had buggies and we’re glad of them as the pace was around the 5 hour mark although in our experience this is normal for holiday golf. We would fully recommend this course to future travellers.

by far the best course we played and it was tee’d up for the last day. Lovely course, and we were lucky with the weather being a little cooler as it was a late tee time. A different proposition from the other courses being much older and tree lined. In good condition and with a beautiful setting and very pleasant clubhouse. Greens were much better than Assoufid but fairways were very dry and need a lot more water. Very nice layout and variety of holes. The group behind us had caddies but they didn’t seem to understand the etiquette aspect i.e. not letting their players tee-off whilst the group in front is still waiting to play their 2nd shot. Great restaurant area and good food.

Superb facilities & course conditions. Most holes are alike - straight & all tree lined- easy to loose your ball if your off the fairway. Par 3s are interesting & tough.

Not a long course but do not be fooled accuracy and placement win here. Start on the driving range looking at the Atlas Mountains is a stunning opening to a round that visually just gets better and better inc into the club house. Greens and course immaculate. If there’s one point to note the greens can in shade be a little slower to than expected.

Very similar to our own course but with wider fairways!! Back nine had some great holes and was more enjoyable imho. Even though you were on the outskirts of Marrakech you wouldn’t have known apart from the odd car horn!! We didn’t stay for lunch but the food looked great and the clubhouse was grandiose in an old colonial style.

Our favourite in Marrakesh. So good we played two days running. Proper classy course and facilities. Take a change of clothes, pre book lunch in the clubhouse as gets busy with non golfers coming for the view of the Atlas Mountains and amazing food. Make a day of it.

This is by far the tightest course we played all week and you have got to be on your game to get around without dropping shots. Beautiful course and I would play again but probs not for players new to golf or people who can’t keep it in the fairways. Greens were quite poor very ripped up but they did role well overall

An amazing beautiful place to enjoy a round of golf. Everything is pristine and the grounds were expertly manicured. The club house lived up to expectations as did all the facilities. The course was in very good shape. It is probably not the hardest of courses, quite short on the back 9 with some easier par 5s and drivable par 4s. But certainly a wonderful place to enjoy a round of golf which will last in the memories. One for everyone’s bucket lists

A pleasant reception by staff in the pro shop. The practice/driving range was good with free good quality range balls.I was paired with a very nice elderly couple who had a caddy. This is a parkland tree lined course which wouldn't be to difficult to walk as it's not that long.I found the course in decent condition but the greens were slow. All in all I would play play it again without hesitation. One downside would be the pace of play as I found myself waiting on most tees.

Absolutely gorgeous looking course, expensive in the bar, condition of the course disappointing, watered too much, greens not as good as we expected. Take plenty of water as only 1 small bottle given. Buggies very hard to steer (gave your arms a good work out)

Definitely the poshest course we played The bar area was as opulent as you can get So we’re some of the guests, the old course was beautiful, the fairways were in great condition but the greens weren’t at their best. The staff were really professional, but a large beer cost approximately £11 which we found difficult to swallow.

Disappointed that we booked buggies and when we got there they told us we hadn’t so had to talk. One of the group really struggled and in fact if this had been earlier in the week would have ended his holiday. Great course but got the feeling it thinks it’s better than it is and really 40 buggies just isn’t enough, oh and £11 per beers is ridiculous.

Old course will now be rated as short as its apparently over 100 years old. It's very picturesque although after a while all the holes appear the same style i.e. straight, bunkers alongside the fairways and green with trees all around. Best hole the par 3 ninth the " Bridget Bardot" is an interesting tee shot. £9 a pint of local beer in the bar sent shock waves outside of the glass. Overall: we went on May 1st 2024, it was definitely showing signs of tiredness and wear, as it is very well played by many people and was in need of reseeding
Eric
✓3 May 2024
buggies not available to our group and with temps at 27degrees some of our party found it a struggle towards the end of the round. the back and forward holes were very samey and it was difficult to imagine where you were on the course. teeing areas were dreadful and needed lots of attention. for supposedly the "best" course in the region it disappointed. the bar service was slow and way too expensive which meant it was the only course where we had only one drink.

We were recommended this course after work had been done (we had avoided it in the past). It is generally not too wide off the tee but perfectly manageable but the course shows signs of too many rounds being played with worn tees and fairways and general lack of care over repairing signage. However it is an old design and by modern standards is just a bit dull. Too many flat and straight par 4’s of similar length that are driver, nine iron, driver, wedge etc and par 5’s not much better. The signature hole par 3 is interesting but not outstanding. Good range and putting green and a classic old style clubhouse with elegant verandas and prices to match. Pace of play was way too slow with too many visitors who were probably there because of the courses history and reputation. If you are a competent golfer with a half decent handicap then I would avoid it as there are far better courses in Marrakech. We will not play again on our next trip.
Vijay

✓23 Mar 2024
Since it is the fifth time we are playing, the course we found the par 4s pretty boring as there was no variety. Greens were good. I have to say the price of beer coffee and soft drinks was pretty exorbitant compared to the other fuses that we have played in the last 4 years

We were allowed to go off in our 2 ball, This course was design for the King of Morocco. It has to be the most easiest course we have ever played on. every single hole was straight at approx. 300 metres apart for the short par 3s. As we were only a 2 ball we finished the round in less than 3 hours. a disappointing course, perhaps a better course could be found to replace it. We called it a Micky Mouse Course. One final point the drinks the were twice as much as the previous courses, we had a few hours to kill which came expensive, the club house looked onto the driving range oh well food for thought there.
John
✓12 Mar 2024
Old fashioned style golf course in the style of a Colt designed 1920s' parkland course. Well maintained and very playable. Some of the shorter holes had elevated greens that made them challenging to make par. The par 5s were just about reachable in 2 but well protected, my only birdie on a Par 5 came from a good wedge to tap in range. Caddies were good. ALl round good experience.

This course is short and flat, and for older or less able players great holiday material. The greens were super fast and slopy, with lots of bunkers with soft sand. Narrow fairways with trees lining with sides. Antelope on the 15th !! The club facilities were excellent, and the buggies had GPS screens. The only downside was the price of the beer, which was astronomical. 11 euros per pint.

✓25 Oct 2023
Unfortunately played after a monsoonal downpour the night before, so the course was saturated and barely playable in places, but with the assistance of a caddy we managed to negotiate the course without too much difficulty. A gorgeous setting with a plethora of trees, flora and fauna, it really was like playing on a film set designed to feel like a colonial oasis amidst the hustle and bustle of a roaring port city. The clubhouse, pro-shop and changing room styling merely emphasise the opulence the club tries (and succeeds) to exude.

✓17 Oct 2023
the course was generally very good & an enjoyable experience. The one downside to it was that there was an awful lot of what I can only describe as 'very springy grass', which made it difficult sometimes to find your ball. Even when you did eventually find it, it was quite difficult to get out of. Despite the above, I would recommend a visit to this course/club as it is certainly worth it.

We played this on the 1st day, nice course to start with. Not too difficult and a quiet course. Greens were indifferent (but they had had exceptionally hot weather in September and early October). Heard mixed reviews from other groups, but I can honestly say…condition wise the course is superb. Course is a little short…..but you do need to be accurate otherwise you spend a lot of time looking for your ball! Clubhouse is special, staff, drinks and food all top notch!
Neal
✓8 Oct 2023
Very short course but very punishing. The semi rough is not very long but shallows your ball in an amazing way. Never encountered grass like it,you could loose a ball a foot off the fairway!! Therefore spent a long time looking for balls. Having said that, it's the pretiest course visually that I have ever played.
Pete
✓7 Oct 2023
Clubhouse and food here are awesome. We played 9 on the new course and 9 on the old and these are two very different courses - Grass, greens, rough all just felt different. If we had played 18 on the old course may have been better. Looked like it was having a lot of work done around the course. Greens had some damage to them, and some of the fairway cutting was dubious at best. Overall, it was my least favourite of 4 rounds and I probably wouldn't play it again unless it was guaranteed old course and it was in better condition.
Adrian
✓5 Oct 2023
Staff were really friendly. Driving range had a great chilled atmosphere with relaxing music playing while you’re warming up. Course was tree lined and tight at times but a good challenge. There was a few rough patches around the course including some patches on greens but considering the extreme heat of 39 degrees, staff had done a great job. Club house and restaurant had lovely food and drinks available. Overall would definitely go back and recommend to others.

John
✓2 Oct 2023
This course is lovely. The only observation is that this is quite hard for higher handicappers. If you are off the fairway, then the first cut of rough is around 2" high, which means that the ball sits right down in the grass ansd makes it very hard to get the club out, let alone forward. I would suggest that the first cut needs to be cut much shorter.
David
✓30 Sep 2023
Good course and enjoyable. The negative was that we were followed by a number of 2 balls and 1 ball. We had to let people threw even though we had a 4 hour round, the 2 balls should be on the other 9

✓17 Sep 2023
Not a great welcome , had to play the 9 hole and then the back 9 of the 18 . The fairways are in good condition but sadly the greens let the course down . When we finished the round the clubhouse was shut ,so not able to eat or drink ,but obviously this could have been of the earthquake , but it wasn’t mentioned .Feel bad about this review but feel I have to be honest
Colin
✓13 Sep 2023
This has to be taken in context as 2 days before the earthquake struck!!. The greens were in a poor condition, bare patches with freshly laid turf and pitch mark’s all over. The fairways were in good nick, BUT THE ROUGH WAS UNPLAYABLE. The rough was the same type of grass as the fairways but about 2 or 3 inches deep. The ball usually sat down in it so you couldn’t see your ball unless you were right on top of it!!. The club house was closed due to staffing problems. Wouldn’t play it again

It’s a very mature golf course, more so than most of the others in Marrakesh. However, I also consider it the most boring in the area. Apart from a couple of slight doglegs to start, practically every hole is straight and not even very long, though it does have the lovely par 3 9th which is very well protected. I will not play this again.

Far too short of the yellow tees. All par 5’s easily reachable off yellows so some thought about tee selection required. Beautiful tree lined course and despite following a 4 ball we (2 ball) got round in 3hrs 40 mins The club house was stunning however a 3 course Sunday lunch is £50 and coffee and tea £10. Off the course it’s not for the financially faint hearted. Despite being “Royal Marrakech” it was probably in the worst condition out of the three courses

Unfortunately we could not have buggies as they had all been booked out. But we walked with Trolleys and luckily it was only 32*C and the cousre has a lot of shade. The Royal Marrakech Golf Club is a historic and beautiful golf course. It has an English Colonial feel about the clubhouse that gives you that sense you are somewhere special. The Old Course is a classic layout with mature trees, wide fairways and challenging greens. The courses offer stunning views of the Atlas Mountains. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is relaxed and elegant. There are toilets on the course which were clean and well maintained, but there is no drinking water anywhere on the course. However, they do run out of buggies and all they had left were buggies without a front screen. The pace of play is just over 4 hours as most groups are 4 balls. Whilst easily walkable, if a 2 ball, the buggy does offer shade and somewhere to sit whilst waiting to take your next shot. In terms of timing to be picked up, adding 5 hours to the scheduled tee time worked well. Marrakech Golf Club is a must-play.

We liked this course. Not as interesting as the others we played but was really enjoyable. The club house was lovely - the best after golf experience we had was here when we stayed for lunch. The staff were very attentive. The main issue was at all the golf clubs we played we were asked for a voucher which we didn’t have. Even after we cleared this with Your Golf travel and they contacted each course we were still asked for a voucher - this needs to be sorted as it was frustrating and slowed up the registration.

✓17 Dec 2022
The staff were not as friendly as at Samanah and Al Maaden but certainly not unfriendly. Range balls included in green fees. Whilst this is a fantastic course and indeed our favourite of those we played, it should be noted that it is a course for straight drivers of the ball as the fairways are tree lined and not all that wide. Having said that, the drives that we did manage to leak did not result in lost balls for the most part. Friendly advice, if your ball is headed offline, do shout as there are many ground staff working in amongst the trees whose presence is not immediately obvious. Lunch was excellent.

In very good condition. You need to think you way around not a bombers course. Every green was raised so you had to play approach shots with a lot of height to hold the green. Most enjoyable and the clubhouse is amazing. A real taste of golfing excellence.

A beautiful course with amazing tree lined fairways, fine sand bunkers and beautiful planting and colonial style club house. A great golfing experience!

Similar to our homeland park tree lined courses. Short and easy if you can keep it down the middle! Lovely colonial stlye clubhouse and excellent changing facilities.

Very slow for the first nine on the “old course” but very good for the second nine on the “old course”. It was a really excellent golf club, certainly the best we played, with the course conditions being excellent. All the staff were very helpful, pleasant and generous with their advice/guidance.

We couldn't fault the condition or speed of the greens, and in general the course was in better condition than when I played it in 2018. My group felt a lot of the holes were similar to play and the service in the clubhouse was slow, which is my reason for a 3* rating overall.

Course is a good challenge, but felt quite repetitive as the holes tend to be quite similar, narrow and tree lined. If you hit straight it is quite an easy course.

Beautiful club, late starting round, behind some very slow golfers who should not really have been playing on the course. The most beautiful club house and great service.

This is a very different course from the others with lots of trees bordering the fairways. It is one of the older and more established courses with a local membership. The new clubhouse Is very impressive and provides a very nice atmosphere. The course is not long and was very busy when we played. One of the three nines was closed so everyone played the old course. The tees were even more forward than normal making a lot of wedges into par 4s.

Not a lot of room for error with trees along both sides of fairway. Fairways very muddy in places but a very nice looking course.

Nice course to play. Trickier for high handicappers as you have to be straight. All in all a good course. Looked after.

Very HOT - must hire a buggy. Very enjoyable course to play, plenty of shade.

We had to play 9 holes of the New course as the front 9 of the Old was under maintenance. We didn't know this prior to the trip otherwise we would have played elsewhere as the New is not a great 9 holes. The staff were not friendly and the caddies were extremely poor. Very disappointed as this is the one of the oldest courses in Morocco and we expected better.

Lovely golf course tree lines make it more interesting, some fairways a little bit tatty

From the outset the course looked stunning but as we progressed through the round all the holes were very much the same and not very challenging . The landscape was tree lined fairways straight up and down , not very exciting .The clubhouse was old colonial style and was excellent . The big annoying problem on all 3 courses we played was holliday makers with caddies coaching at every hole .

A fascinating experience to return to a course I played some twenty five years ago when Marrakesh only had this one track. Twenty five years ago it was in brilliant condition. Clearly with much more competition the course has suffered. However, there was clear evidence that the management are doing all they can to bring this course up to an acceptable standard, having spent a large amount of money upgrading the off course facilities. We found the course tight but fair! Not easy for long and wayward drivers! Similar to many of our parkland courses in Kent, and very different to any other Marrakesh courses. Easy walking course compared to most others. We would love to play the "Old Course 18 holes" again another year! Not sure about the "new nine" we didn't play though, which we viewed from a distance and seemingly presented like most other Marrakesh courses.

Was not able to tee off at 1st Tee at allotted times due to large groups gathered at the 1st and 10th on New Course and !st on Old Course on first occasion the only on the 4th of the Old Course on second occasion. Both occasions there were about twenty golfers gathered on each of the 1st and 10TH tee boxes of both courses.

The one and only thing I would say is, they charge for range balls, but all the other courses didn’t. Lovely course though 😁

It was raining but that did not hide the fact that this "old" course may have been left behind by new course layout. It is a gentle stroll through holes which are somewhat repetitious.

It is a short, tree lined course and not so pretty. The club house and restaurant were the nicest we experienced like an old colonial villa.

A little disappointed. This is the oldest course in Marrakech and it can be seen by poor tee boxes (currently being replaced) and a few tired looking fairways. The course plays like a mature parkland in England which makes it a test with its tree lined fairways.

We were allocated to play the front nine on the new course and back nine on the old - as it transpired, we also played the front nine of the old. The new course was definitely more interesting and in better condition, the old rather boring up and down alley ways of trees around 350 - 390 yards long. They had heavily watered it and the greens were marked. Not one to play if you have alternatives, we didn't have time to visit the bar area which did look smart.

More of a challenge playing from the back tees. Fairways were mostly narrow and tree lined. Fairly straight forward challenge. Beautiful club house with plenty of staff round to assist.

We played old course first day but we felt all the holes were very similar straight with a couple of bunkers in front. Second time we played we were on the new vourse but they hadn't updated the score cards so we couldn't sync our watches very well. Sorry we had booked two rounds here. Best bit was the amount of very smart toilets on the course.

The oldest course in Marrakech and still one of the best. The 'Old' course is very English (no water!!). They have built 9 new holes which are on the 'modern' American style and is poor. If you go there make sure you play the original 9 holes.

A good opening course for first time visit to Marrakesh. Compared to European Courses, Spain & Portugal it lacked the finishing touches of a quality course. Very untidy with rubbish and ground works around the perimeter. Would play again. Voucher etc all worked well with check in at pro shop & caddy master.

We particularly wanted to play this course again this year as it the closest you will get to a traditional English golf course being over 90 years old. The course was generally in good condition but maybe too much water had ben used around the greens meaning that the said areas were a bit wet underfoot.

Considering the lack of water in morocco , dare i say this course was probably a tad over watered when we played .The greens were very soft, obviously very reseptive but were getting badly damaged by incoming balls

Really lovely place. 3 nines- we played the blue and red nines. Blue is newer amd more open. Red is really tight and lovely on the eye. The green course was out of play for maintenance - it looked lovely. The clubhouse amd practice areas were just about to open after a significant renovation - it would be awesome!

We had been looking forward to playing this course which by reputation is the best and oldest in Marrakesh. However, whilst OK, the staff were not as helpful as we were used to and the whole place felt tired and in need of some updating. Worst clubhouse and changing facilities (felt like a public park). Looked as though there was a much plusher clubhouse for members situated on the other side of the course. Signs were poor and many of the holes felt the same. Greens were true but quite pitted with repaired pitch marks due to their wetness. Disappointing!

As all courses played we had early tee times which we found beneficial so as to avoid the heat of the day. At this time of year we found the course quiet and hence under no pressure from other players. We were not matched up with others and in buggy the round took us 3.5 hours only.it was like millionaires golf! Lovely tree lined ,established course. Drinks at bar expensive.

The reason I am saying the course was hard it was badly maintained needs a good clean up greens were terrible the bunkers had sand but not playable fairways were water logged through leaking pipes.also asking to much money for the buggies do not supply free bottled water The Royal Marrakech was a disgrace!

The golf course consisted of 3 x 9 hole courses blue was a great track both visually and very well set out and quite challenging all our group really enjoyed it! Green was ok but a lot of the holes felt and looked the same but did require a straight drive as all holes are tree lined with bunkers in the right places to keep you on your toes! Red was closed so I can't comment on that!! We played royal Marrakech twice and enjoyed both times!! We had a choice of buggies or caddies the buggies are around £37 and caddies are £13 paid to the caddy although most give £20 because they are so much help and would 100% recommend! The 19th hole was rather expensive we brought 4 beers which cost around £30 but they were cold and needed after 18 holes in 35 degree heat!!
