Wider fairways don't mean a free pass. Miss your line and the desert scrub is waiting, while the bunkering is placed to make you pick a side and commit. The greens are generous in size, but the contours can turn a straightforward two-putt into a proper read. In other words, it's a thinker. Conditioning is typically excellent, particularly through peak season, and the views across the Sonoran landscape are spectacular.
