Barcelo Marbella Hotel

The hotel is too isolated therefore to access restaurants,bars, coast, golf courses,places of interest all of the things that you do on holiday,we had to use taxi's that is expensive and time consuming.There we're four of us on a golfing holiday and it was frustrating to have to spend time and money travelling to golf,when we were overlooking Guadalermina golf. The hotel and staff were good.

Hotel was perfect for golf wee bit out the way for pubs and club

Swimming pool attendant seemed to want to close the pool off as he felt fit & ignored the timetable

Great hotel and location for the golf courses we chose. There was not a lot going on around however taxis were plentiful and always arrived in a timely manner. The rooms were large and spacious and the facilities were great with friendly staff

We were wowed by the size of the room and quality of the accommodation Great breakfast Didnt eat there in the evening but no doubt it would have been great

Very nice hotel but a bit remote from the centre of Marbella

Rooms are nicely spacious and nicely decorated. Beds are comfortable and the freebies in the bathroom are a nice touch.

Great location for golf and night out.

Rooms are nice and big , clean , only includes free water on day one though , pool very clean and well looked after

Decent Hotel, food just ok, breakfast not open until 8am too late for 2 of our golf days, they provided very basic picnic.

The Barcelo Marbella is a good quality hotel with good amenities and service levels. We would be happy to stay again at the hotel if we were doing another golf trip in the area.

Before talking about the hotel, I should give a mention to Costa del Sol Deluxe Travel who did the airport transfers and the golf transfers each day. Every driver was excellent, helpful and safe, the quality of the coaches was very good and we were on time each day. Great company to deal with. The hotel was excellent. It was very quiet. If it hadn’t been for four Norwegian ladies' football teams staying, we’d likely have been the only ones staying for most of the week. Check-in was fast and efficient. The receptionist was friendly and, whilst my Spanish is passable, she engaged with us in English. She did expect to receive a voucher from us, as did all of the courses we played, but was satisfied with the paperwork that yourgolftravel had provided to me. The rooms were a good size and comfortable, cosy but not too warm. It was possible to open the sliding door to the balcony overlooking the pool and there were chairs and a table there. The beds were comfortable, with a good choice of pillows. The ensuite facilities were excellent. The buffet breakfast was comprehensive and it was possible to have eggs cooked fresh in any form. Most of the warm food was just that though, and could have been hotter. There was a great array of fresh fruit, cheeses and meats, fruit juices, several varieties of milk, fresh coffee, pastries, croissants, breads and toasters if you wanted to use them. The staff were excellent, clearing tables frequently and on hand to help if needed. The bar area was a pleasant place to sit in the evening, either outside or inside, and they offered a good selection of lovely food cooked to order. The main restaurant didn’t appear to be open in the evenings, other than for the football teams, but the bar served food before the normal 8pm start. There were other sitting areas in the larger foyer, and a large screen TV showing mostly football in the evenings. There were pool and spa areas too but we didn’t use these. Overall, a lovely hotel that we’d be happy to return to.
