Los Arqueros Golf & Country Club is a stunning parkland course nestled in the beautiful Ronda Hills near Marbella. Located equidistant between Málaga and Gibraltar, this championship golf course holds the prestigious distinction of being the first golf course designed by legendary Spanish golfer Severiano Seve Ballesteros in 1991.

The course features relatively small greens that are not heavily bunkered, but have tricky slopes that are difficult to negotiate. Strategy is crucial to scoring well at Los Arqueros, which at just over 6,200 yards is not the longest test.

Los Arqueros Golf & Country Club

The tourist friendly, challenging and stunning course commands an enviable mountain setting and magnificent views over Andalusian hills and the Mediterranean. Located in Benahavís, only 5 km. from San Pedro de Alcántara and near beautiful Ronda, on the Ronda road.

Signature Hole: Hole 13, Par 5, 458 metres (501 yards), SI 6

Los Arqueros’ 13th deserves its status as signature hole not just for the challenge that it presents, but also for its magnificent scenery of ‘Mare Nostrum’. On clear days, it is even possible to see the coast of Africa and the Atlas Mountain Range. The golf is nothing short of spectacular either, and from an elevated tee the fairway starts off narrow, before it veers off to the right.

It is possible to attempt a ‘Seve’ in cutting the corner and going for the green in two. However, this is a dangerous approach and anything to the right of the green will result in a lost ball, while anything short will be swallowed up by the greenside bunker. A fade would suit this approach well, as the left side of the green is guarded by an uphill slope. A stunning golf hole, offering much in the way of risk-reward.
