The complex at Golf Du Soleil consists of three distinct courses: the Red and Yellow loops have nine holes each, while the Blue Course is a full championship layout. The original 1999 course is full of variety and charm and will remind some of playing golf in Florida.
In the tradition of most Moroccan golf courses it is delicately landscaped with flowers, decorative lakes, eucalyptus trees and brooms. Players will need to know how to drive the longest holes to challenge the par, but also place the wagers to play on the narrower holes. Most of its greens are well defended by generous bunkers which will spice up the game. The Champion course is reminiscent of links courses around the world, although sporty by its design, but flat and without particular physical difficulty, will allow the most motivated players to play this course on foot. Its open layout will guarantee a true game experience.
The Championship course, longer than its sister course The Tikida course remains the favorite of good players, which regularly hosts club competitions, national and international tournaments.
When opened in 1999, the Tikida course was originally just 9 holes, it was enlarged in 2006 when the next 9 holes was added to the delight of many golfers who nicknamed it "the little garden".
The Tikida course is shorter than its sister the Championship course, measuring aprox 5500m from the white tees, however this doesn't mean it is less technical. Ideal for those looking to work on their iron game, with its narrow fairways.
A few holes nestled in the natural valleys of the field will make the first 9 holes, before going down to the club house by the back 9 holes are open and longer. Equally defended greens spice up the game.
The Tikida Golf Palace hotel with 54 suites, is at the heart of this beautiful golf course, just a few meters from the green of par 3 No. 7.

Nice course but condition of the greens let it down

Tikida is the better course. More mature and interesting holes over water. Some tricky par 3s. The pace of play is 5 hrs plus. Like the championship course the start is chaotic. A full tee sheet every day and no starter.
Helen

We played the Championship course twice. However, we won’t be returning to play here. The rounds take 5 hrs or more. The start is chaotic. No starter and a packed tee sheet. Some of the groups play 2 ball scrambles that take ages and slow the field down. Order your buggies early as they run out.

Best of the three course we played - we made the mistake on the first visit of playing from the white in the morning. With wet fairways and little run - cause was just too long. Came back three days later and played from the yellows and a much easy test

A different course to the championship but still very interesting. Easier than the championship but made you think. One thing to remember is that your booking won’t come with buggies which we were disappointed by and many ahead of us were having the same problem. Thankfully there were enough to go around but we had to pay £35 extra to hire.

✓18 Mar 2025
A very smooth check in and plenty of time to relax at the excellent clubhouse and practise green before our round, which again was played at a reasonably good pace. We thought the course was a bit fiddley with quite a lot of short holes and blind shots. The quality of the fairways and greens was good. This was the only course where we were able to get buggies which we were grateful for.

When we arrived, we were told our tee time was 30 minutes earlier than info from YGT and we were playing with another English couple. Rushed to the tee to find they were now paired with the group in front. All of us stuck behind another 2-ball that were clearly high handicap and happy to allow their young child to practice putting on the greens whilst everyone backed up behind ! The course not overly memorable other than a couple of water holes, but in very good condition. If you want the range, then you have to buy a minimum of 3 buckets of balls.

The course is perhaps less forgiving than the Championship but for that reason more interesting and fun. The same tee time management niggles (insistence on four ball when clearly unnecessary) as for the Championship
Dane
✓26 Jan 2025
Excellent courses... the only downside, as usual, is the inflexibility of the tee time management by demanding couples play as four ball when plenty of gaps are plainly available ahead and behind the allocated tee time.

We played this on our first day when we had expected to play the championship course i.e. your course booking can and does change on a whim. We followed a group of Dutch, 2 men and 2 women who clearly were out for a stroll, the round took 4hrs 55 mins. The second time we played we followed a group of French whom took an 50 mins to play the first 2 holes - I asked to be allowed through on the third tee as they had then lost one hole. They agreed, thankfully, and we went ahead quickly, creating a one hole gap within 3 holes! The round took us 3hrs 55 mins and by the time we finished, after being held up for most of the back nine, there was a 2 hole gap. The course simply wants to pack in as many players as possible, regardless of etiquette being shown. The prices in the golf shop are simply crazy so don't plan to treat yourselves.
Nicholas
✓20 Mar 2024
There is a lack of course management, both in terms of a course marshall (didn't see one on either day) and clearly the fact handicap certificates are not required i.e. too many novice golfers just hacking around in the sun. This leads naturally to the rounds taking far too long - 4.5 hours min for a 4 ball, but I heard of those taking over 5 hours in the heat isn't pleasant.
Phillip
✓20 Mar 2024
A decent course - a theme for all the courses is they asked for vouchers which we didn’t have (i believe). Will be repeated on feed back for all the courses. We played 2 different courses here - the Championship and the Tikida (blue course). The Tikida was a lovely surprise - very pretty and enjoyed it very much.

✓14 Jan 2024
So Championship means a bit more tricky than the Tikida course. The course is longer with tighter fairways and more bunkers. It is still very playable though with lots of variety for all standards of golfer. Both courses are very walkable although trolleys are available if needed. Alternatively just book yourself a caddy at a reasonable price! In addition a nice driving range, putting and chipping area are available to use, just get a range card from the Pro shop. If you buy anything dont forget to convert from Diram to ££ or Euro. Golf du Soleil is a fantastic venue for golf and is on par with Turkish courses...
Ian
✓14 Jan 2024
The Tikida course is very playable for golfers of all levels/H/caps. Holes are all very different adding to the enjoyment. Watch out for a couple of short but testing par 3s. A super course not too long with lots of variety a real gem

✓2 Dec 2023
The first round was OK, the second was a shambles as we found our tee times and course changed in favour of larger groups. This resulted in a change of day and a six hour round which is unacceptable. This course was badly managed, the pro shop was not open when we arrived in advance of our allocated tee times, there was no marshalling and play was very slow.
Martin
✓24 Nov 2023
Best all round course we played — rammed with players though which made it a bit slow —if one is waiting on every shot a marshall telling you to hurry up is unnecessary to say the least !!!!!

There was a big competition going on so everything was very busy but our tee time was fine. We had to have a caddy each which was a new experience but ended up being great fun. A mixture of French, German and a bit of English got us by and our four caddies gamely cheered us on and gave us appropriate tips. The charge for the caddies was equivalent to two golf carts.

We played early to avoid the midday temperatures and hence had the course to ourselves for a while. 2 pull trolleys and a buggy. Friendly pro to give us some hints on the course ( expensive and under stocked pro shop) Great fun overall, very different from our links course at home! Enjoyable for all abilities and we would definitely return …… maybe with mosquito repellent next time!

✓11 Oct 2021
The best maintained course of the 3 we played and suitable for all standards of golfer. A few holes over water and some long par 3's to test anyone, also loads of large superbly maintained bunkers. Played twice and only lost 1 ball. Well watered throughout and as with l'Ocean the greens can and should be attacked. Going back.

This was the first course we played and given the tiny amount of rainfall recently. Tikida course wasin good condition but with GUR patches on some fairways. This courses offers 27 holes, 3 loops of 9 which allowed the caddy master the flexibility of setting off groups and individuals separately. This helped us and we followed another 4 ball game quite comfortably and finished in around 4 hours without caddies which seemed to be the norm. The drinks were expensive by comparison to other courses but the setting is spectacular.

✓23 Jan 2020
Two courses here, Championship which was the more difficult of the two as the greens were very fast, too fast for holiday golfers really. Tikida course which was our favourite. Some tricky and interesting holes with the greens much better. Staff friendly but be aware you will be asked if you want a caddy. They are very good and certainly know the course very well. As golfers all arrive on buses there is a mad checking in time when all arrive together but staff coped really well and with a smile.

The organisation was not good. We were a two ball but we would be sent out behind a four ball. Fortunately we had a buggy to sit in but there was too much waiting around. The courses were average, the grass was poor, probably due to the dry conditions. The greens were good but the fairways just average. The weather was fantastic.
