The complex at Golf Du Soleil consists of three distinct courses: the Red and Yellow loops have nine holes each, while the Blue Course is a full championship layout. The original 1999 course is full of variety and charm and will remind some of playing golf in Florida.
In the tradition of most Moroccan golf courses it is delicately landscaped with flowers, decorative lakes, eucalyptus trees and brooms. Players will need to know how to drive the longest holes to challenge the par, but also place the wagers to play on the narrower holes. Most of its greens are well defended by generous bunkers which will spice up the game. The Champion course is reminiscent of links courses around the world, although sporty by its design, but flat and without particular physical difficulty, will allow the most motivated players to play this course on foot. Its open layout will guarantee a true game experience.
The Championship course, longer than its sister course The Tikida course remains the favorite of good players, which regularly hosts club competitions, national and international tournaments.
When opened in 1999, the Tikida course was originally just 9 holes, it was enlarged in 2006 when the next 9 holes was added to the delight of many golfers who nicknamed it "the little garden".
The Tikida course is shorter than its sister the Championship course, measuring aprox 5500m from the white tees, however this doesn't mean it is less technical. Ideal for those looking to work on their iron game, with its narrow fairways.
A few holes nestled in the natural valleys of the field will make the first 9 holes, before going down to the club house by the back 9 holes are open and longer. Equally defended greens spice up the game.
The Tikida Golf Palace hotel with 54 suites, is at the heart of this beautiful golf course, just a few meters from the green of par 3 No. 7.

Golf du Soleil is immediately a step up in terms of facilities and course condition. The course was immaculate and the scenery is excellent. We ate in the restaurant and the traditional Moroccan food was very good. The organisation was again not great. At reception they insisted on seeing a printed reservation and would not accept the booking from the YGT app initially. Then the caddy master directed me to the wrong course, not the championship one I had booked. Thankfully I noticed before teeing off. I was told to join a group on the first tee but they were not there, and I eventually ended up joining another couple who also had caddies and no buggy. Pace of play was very slow, often arriving at a tee with the group in front still waiting to tee off, and sometimes multiple groups stacked on the same hole. At one point we even had to skip a hole or two just to get past a jam and keep moving. All the caddies were very kind which we appreciated, though one of them was useless with reading the greens. The caddies mentioned that the club tends to book as many tee times as possible without managing spacing. This leads to the course being very overcrowded and makes it hard to enjoy the round because there is no momentum.
