Hotel is very good only negative comment would be be that the choice of beer was very poor only one type
VG experience. Staff friendly and food excellent. Downside poor WiFi.
Everything that we expected so much so that my party are considering the same trip next year
The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The rooms overall were very comfortable but could do with a couple more electrical sockets and also drawer space. Hotel bar was well soo med with a very good choice of international brands
The Hotel has had a recent refurbishment and looks great, new sports bar only criticism all football, no golf on the TV.
Hotel is due a refurb so it is a bit tired here and there but despite that it's still clean and the staff are excellent, food is varied and good. Bar could do with refining a bit, always flat tonic in my gin sounds picky but it's 5 star so I expect standards to be high. Apart from that all good.
This was our second visit, exactly a year after our first. The staff and facilities meet our needs and expectations to the full and thanked them accordingly. It was good to see just how many members of staff remained after our first visit, testimony I guess to the conditions they experience. My friends and I will definitely return in March 2025 after what we understand to be an extensive refurbishment, particularly on the bedrooms which are looking dated but perfectly OK.
Location and facilities very good. Staff very helpful. Food disappointing and the hotel seemed to be rammed. Not a very well laid out hotel.
The room was dark & the cupboards were terrible! The buffet selection was below average with limited choices! We ate out 5 of our 7 all inclusive meals. The Fussion & Moroccan restaurants not worth the effort of booking. On both nights we were chased out of the restaurant (granted there was a 2nd sitting at 9 but we were told to go at 8.30 & not very nicely either!). The buffet dinning room was a very large echoing room - if possible sit outside much better. Not a hotel we would return to.
Generally very good. Problems all week with card access to the room
The holiday was sold to us on the premise that the hotel and golf courses were of better quality than those in Turkey, this is not the case. The hotel is not a 5-star venue and we were very disappointed with the low standards there and a stay which fell far short of our expectations. In particular, I wish to make you aware of the following. Reception There was no welcome on arrival or offer of assistance with luggage transportation to the room on check in and on departure. Room Generally, our room (3097) needed redecoration, cleaning and repairs. Items to note are: • Wardrobe doors were faulty. • Wardrobe drawers difficult to open. • Bathroom mould/dirt. • Shower glass sealant missing (causing water to leak on to bathroom floor). • Curtains were dirty and very dusty. • Quality of the towels and bathroom amenities was poor. Printed information provided in the rooms was not up to date in respect of the a la carte restaurant opening times and advance booking requirements. Guests should not have to download and use an app to find such information. Food and Restaurant Inferior quality food despite the availability of what appeared to be good ingredients. With reference to the main restaurant please note • Failure to provide chilled rosé wine. I complained several times. • Failure many times by not providing some of the dishes stated on the menu. • Inability to remove a damaged chair from use after informing staff more than once. • Lack of fresh fruit at breakfast, most fruit was tinned. • Inadequate labelling on the food, the guests should not have to guess what is being offered. This is inappropriate for guests with particular dislikes and potentially very dangerous for those with serious allergies. Unfortunately, the Krystal restaurant was not the fine dining venue we were expecting, again good ingredients but a very ordinary standard of cooking. I wonder on what rating criteria the hotel is judged as this is not a 5-star establishment but is one that gave the impression of being run down and in need of overhaul and refurbishment and sadly lacks a 5-star service and hospitality culture. We are also passing our comments directly to Riu hotels.
From Chris Kennedy Very enjoyable golfing break, generally well organised. The RIU Palace although a quality hotel, was struggling to keep up the room maintenance as the rooms now require renovation. This however was tempered by the excellent service and cheerfulness of the staff that lessened the various minor and irritating snags that cropped up through the week. From My Self Richard Rust. The organisation by yourselves for the pickups from the hotel and collection from the golf clubs was first class the drivers were all on time and extremely helpful. The hotel itself as Chris mentioned was not quite up to standard. The Staff were brilliant and could not do enough for us. The food was very good with excellent choices each day. We had several problems with our room the first morning as we woke up to a power cut and had a few more during the week. Our last evening, we had a major problem with our door the key would not open the door and the hotel had to get a person from outside to open our door which took 90 minutes. As we were checking out of our room the next morning, we had another power cut we almost missed the coach taking us to the airport.
An excellent hotel where I have previously stayed. All inclusive, exceptionally good food to suit all tastes, good range of premium drinks which are very liberally poured! On the beach and within walking distance of shops and the souk for R&R after golf. The staff really make this hotel, so helpful and attentive. It’s worth mentioning that there is very good adherence to Covid 19 regulations inside restaurants and confined spaces. We were 4 ladies travelling for golf and would highly recommend. We felt totally safe and experienced no problems whatsoever. When the Moroccan borders were closed for British travellers, the hotel willingly printed off copious paper copies of Passenger locator form etc. with no complaints…. Bonus! Would definitely book again.
Great hotel set in lovely gardens right on the wonderful sandy beach. Promenade goes on a long way and is a good walk on a non golfing day. Completely safe as there are police and army patrols around all of the time. Food very good at the hotel and served by very happy smiling staff who went out of their way to accommodate everybodys needs. Room good but ask for the sunny side as our balcony did not get sun at anytime during the day. I expected gown and slippers but non provided. Kettle and mini bar (non alcohol only) in the room along with free safe and good wi-fi.
