Irvine Bogside is still much the same as it was when James Braid laid out the original course in 1926. Although it is relatively short compared to its fellow Open Qualifying venues in Ayrshire, Bogside like many other Braid designs demands accuracy and is extremely penal if you stray off-line.

You have to keep it on the fairway otherwise you get punished in the heather. Greens in good condition and friendly staff and members. Enjoyable.
