Prestwick St Nicholas is a prestigious and established golf club located on the idyllic shores of the Firth of Clyde, and while it may bay in the shadow of some of Ayrshire’s most famous names, it is an outstanding course in its own right. Described as a "miniature championship course" appealing to the shorter hitter, however with multiple blind tee boxes and carefully positioned bunkers, your score may not accurately reflect this relatively short in length, par 69 golf links.

The fantastic clubhouse is perched on the edge of the beautiful Ayrshire coastline and their immaculate fairways & greens offer golf all year round. It is easy to see why Prestwick St Nicholas is so popular amidst it's notable neighbours.

Prestwick St Nicholas Golf Club

Prestwick St Nicholas Golf Club is the 26th oldest Golf Club in the world. Its rich heritage includes having Old Tom Morris as a founding member, and the golf course itself has changed little since the club moved to its present site in 1892. Lying between the Glasgow-Ayr railway line and the Firth of Clyde, the course is a traditional links course with firm, sandy turf and gorse-lined fairways.

Though not long – St Nicholas measures a little over 6,000yards – there is no shortage of difficulty; out of bounds is a factor in 12 holes, placing emphasis on accuracy and patience over brute power. This charming course is rounded off by a majestic clubhouse, and is a terrific addition to any golf tour along the Ayrshire coast.
