Golf Courses at Jumeirah Golf Estates Earth Course

Earth Course

The Greg Norman designed Earth Course is the latest offering from the Jumeirah Golf Estates and since opening for play in 2009 has quickly garnered a strong reputation as a top class championship course; a fact that is underlined by its hosting of the Dubai World Championships in its very first year. Fast forward to 2016, the stunning Earth Course still remains the host of the European Tour’s Race to Dubai and is strongly regarded as one of the most iconic courses on the European Tour schedule.

Measuring 7,706 yards from the tips, it is perhaps a good plan to leave the back tees to the tour pros and play from one of w selection of tees that make the course playable for golfers of all shapes and sizes. Fairways are generous so big hitters will enjoy giving it a rip with the driver, however, natural undulations on the course make for some tricky iron shots into huge, audaciously sloping greens. The rough and white sandy bunkers bordering the fairways and greens are fair and, if you stray even further off line, attractive redwood chippings make finding your ball easy while adding a degree of difficulty to your next shot.

The 18th hole at the Earth Course is often regarded as one of the hardest finishing holes in tournament golf, measuring over 650 yards from the back tees with a stream splitting the lingth of the fairway all the way up to the gren.

Stretching over 650 yards from the championship tees, the 18th hole is a true test of skill and strategy. The hole plays uphill from tee to green, with a meandering stream coming into play for the first, second, and often third shots.

Inspired by the natural elements of Fire, Earth, Water and Wind, and interwoven with tastefully designed homes, the four championship golf courses of Jumeirah Golf Estates are set to take their place among the world's most prestigious golfing developments.
