Kenzi Menara Palace

Kenzi Menara Palace is a premium resort set in 10 acres of landscaped gardens in Marrakech, around 10 minutes from the buzz of Jamaâ el Fna and the heart of the medina. For a Marrakech golf break, it's a handy base, close enough to dip into the city for dinner and a wander through the souks, then far enough out to come back to space, calm and those Atlas Mountain views.

If you're travelling as a group or a couple, the logistics are straightforward. There's free parking for hire cars and the hotel runs a complimentary shuttle into the city centre, which saves you the faff of negotiating taxis after a long day on the course. You're also well placed for several of Marrakech's best-known courses, so you can build a week of golf without spending half your holiday in transfers.

Off the course, you've got easy options nearby too. Al Mazar shopping centre is close by and Pacha nightclub is a short taxi ride away if you fancy keeping the evening going after dinner. The hotel's location strikes a good balance between access to the city's nightlife and the peace you want when you get back from 18 holes in the heat.

Who is this for?
Golfers who want a Marrakech base with resort facilities, quick access to the courses and an easy shuttle into the medina when you fancy a change of scene.

Who is it best for?
Couples and groups who like championship golf by day, then a proper spa, good dining and the option of nightlife without committing to staying right in the centre.

Accommodation at Kenzi Menara Palace

Guestrooms at Kenzi Menara Palace lean into traditional Moroccan style with bright colours and bold design touches. Most importantly for golfers, they're comfortable and practical after a day out in the heat, with air conditioning, complimentary Wi‑Fi, a personal safe and a spacious en-suite bathroom. Balconies are a highlight here, with views across the gardens and out towards the Atlas Mountains, which are at their best early morning and as the sun drops.

Food and drink is well covered on-site. Terrasse de l'Insensé serves international dishes if you want something familiar, while the Moroccan restaurant is the one to book if you're keen to keep things local with tagines and regional specialities. There's also a poolside snack bar for lighter bites between activities, plus a piano bar when you fancy a relaxed drink in the evening without heading into town.

For recovery days, The Spa by Terrake is a genuine selling point. Facilities include six treatment rooms, three scrub and shower bathrooms, a sauna, Turkish bath and a gym and fitness room, plus an on-site hairdresser. If you're playing multiple rounds, it's the sort of place that makes the next morning's tee time feel a lot more doable.

The hotel's layout and facilities make it easy to settle into a rhythm, whether you're playing golf every day or mixing rounds with trips into the city. The shuttle service takes the hassle out of getting to Jamaâ el Fna, and the spa gives you a proper place to unwind when your legs are tired and your shoulders are tight from swinging the club all afternoon. The setup is straightforward and functional, with everything you need after a day on the course without unnecessary fuss.

Initially stayed in room 106, which was close to a night club (not belonging to the hotel). Very noisy. Requested a room change which was sorted within a few hours. Excellent hotel would highly recommend

Previous tours to Turkey set a high expectation for an all inclusive standard, accommodation, food and service. There is a significant gap between Kenzi and Gloria/Titanic. The hotel felt tired, the two rooms had were noisy, catering was adequate but overall disappointing.

Good location, only a short distance to golf courses and convenient for the city centre. Comfortable large room. Main buffet restaurant good although one evening we couldn’t really find a tasty meal - and the fish dishes were poor. Lovely pool area.

The food is always cold. At one time one of the guys were served with raw chicken. The hotel is looking very tired. Not great.

Had a slight problem when we arrived and had to spend our first night in their sister hotel because they didn’t have any rooms available.

Not 5-Star – Tired, Noisy, and Needs Attention The hotel staff were doing their best and were generally polite and helpful, but unfortunately the property itself is tired and starting to feel dated. Everywhere was reasonably clean and tidy, but it’s clear the place needs some attention. I originally stayed in Room 242 but had to request a move due to heavy traffic noise and constant barking dogs. I asked specifically for a quiet room and was moved to Room 129, which unfortunately backs onto a nightclub. The music went on until 1am both nights and genuinely felt like it was inside the room. There were also several issues around the food. Snack food by the pool was constantly being attacked by birds—landing on it and picking at it while staff watched without intervening. In the main restaurant, none of the food was labelled, so you have no idea what anything is or whether it contains allergens like nuts. There didn’t seem to be much turnover either, so a lot of the dishes were lukewarm while staff stood around. Overall, everything was okay, but the hotel was completely lacking in atmosphere and felt rather soulless. It’s definitely not a 5-star experience.

Kenzi Menara Palace is a lovely hotel. The rooms were large with comfortable beds. The pool area and swimming pool is beautiful. There was always plenty of sun beds at all times. The dining area waiting staff were always pleasant, the food was good.

A bit tired and in need of an update. Staff were great but struggling with a dated hotel....not 5*!! OK if you are going as a group of "lads on tour" but not really good enough for couples. Under the airport flightpath so noisy outside. Gym is full of second hand and broken equipment...unsupervised and dangerous, Food OK for a buffet
