The course was in a dreadful condition and had clearly been underinvested for some time. Greens were a patchwork of mud and sand with limited actual grass. NOTHING ran true on any of the greens. Bunkers were a disgrace - almost no sand in them and not been raked for what looked like weeks. Matts were shabby and poor condition. Would not recommend anyone who wants a decent round of golf.

Paulton being part of the same group encompassing Bramshaw courses, the same level of service (very good) given by the team. Initial mix up with tee times having booked a year in advance for 10:30 tee times we were booked for an 11:40 start but this was soon rectified without any issues. The course as with the Bramshaw, is designed well with some challenging holes. The greens were much better than those at the Bramshaw, running true and fast. Most enjoyable for a Society or Corporate golf event. Would go back to play if in the New Forest area in the future.
