The Westin Salgados Beach Resort, Algarve

The hotel has recently been taken-over by the Westin chain of hotels. Clearly some work to be done In the rooms to finish off the re-branding. Hotel pools are big with large areas for sun worshippers

Was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. Very clean, staff were very helpful and breakfast was perfect.

Great classy hotel, we did have a problem with the staff at dinner one night but other then that a great place to stay

Fantastic service ,staff were very nice and helpful. Hotel suite was huge with views over the pool and the sea everything we needed was there 10/10.

There were 5 men sharing a single 3-bedroomed apartment and it was excellent. Superbly equipped to self-cater, the space within meant we never felt we were tripping over each other. Huge balconies and easy access to all key areas. The restaurant was only for breakfast but that was plentiful with great choice of food types. The staff were attentive and very polite. All the necessary COVID safety measures were in place and the hotel was kept spotlessly clean. My only observation would be an on-site shop of some persuasion should be available to keep this a truly 5 star resort but in every other aspect, we were hugely impressed with this resort

Had a four night stay with 3 rounds at Salgados, Morgado & Alamos. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice for all tastes. All staff encountered were really friendly. Not much in terms of local entertainment but taxi to Albuifera old town was 18 euros for 6 of us, and only 10 minutes away so not a problem. All agreed that we would definitely stay there again.

Outstanding hotel - facilities were luxurious and the staff could not be more helpful.

Stayed here last year ,staff very helpful and friendly,great onsite facilities ,outdoorpools&Spa ,10 minute walk to a great beach & beachbar. Great buffet breakfast ,rooms are very clean and comfortable ,( this year we actually got upgraded to a suite ) result. Hotel reception were spot on with airport transfers and daily transfer timings to golf courses and ordering taxi’s from the hotel .

A fine Hotel . We , 8 Gents , stayed for a week on a B&B basis . Breakfast is on a buffet basis and is as good as any Hotel I’ve stayed in , a great variety of foods available . Fruits , yoghurts , cereals , fried breakfast and a variety of coffees and tea . The room was small really . Beds are nice and comfortable and there’s a wall mounted TV ( loads of channels ) and a ‘payasyouuse’ coffee machine ( didn’t use ! ) . Plenty of shower products to use .

Excellent hotel next to beautiful beach and nature reserve . Extremely courteous and helpful staff . Pools,gardens and hotel well kept and exceptionally clean. Food variety/quality excellent

The suites are very spacious and comfortable nice and clean with good air conditioning however on our second night we had drank the bar out of everything except superbok
